2 Tunde

"Rachel, it's been two weeks now. Where have you been?" Tunde asks. "He was at his in laws place and Rachel was there."

"I've been busy," she replied.

"Busy? I'm your husband and you took our daughter and disappeared for two weeks."

"Were you worried?" She asks.

"Of course I was worried," he replied.

"What about Nnena Silvia? How is she? Does she know you are worried about me?"

"What is the meaning of that?"

"Oh stop pretending Tunde. Stop pretending as if you don't know that I have found out you are seeing someone else Tunde," she snapped. "Do I look like a fool? Christ, Tunde what do you even take me for?"

"I do not know what you are talking about," he replied. Rachel slaps to his surprise. "What is wrong with you?"

"You. You are what is wrong with me Tunde," she replied. "You married me with lies. I loved you. I love you bastard. But you choose to use me. You want to use me to have children so you and that bitch can get rid of me and take my kids away."

"Where did you get that idea from? Rachel, I know you are angry because I cheated but you are taking it too far."

"Oh, now you agree you are a cheat Tunde. That's good. But I won't fall for your pathetic excuse of an apology. You can't take my daughter away, I won't let you. I have evidence of the fact that you, your bitch and evil mother want to use me and get rid of me."

"Evidence?" He asks.

"Don't be surprised. I'm not a fool. I'm prepared for all of you. Is that not why you were angry I was on contraceptive? Because you wanted me to get pregnant again and if it's a boy, you will get rid of me sooner than later. The funny thing is that, your mum still acts loving towards me when she is pure evil."

"Don't talk about my mum that way," he said angrily.

"Or what? Did I lie?" She asks. "Is she not part of the scheme? And your Nnena Silvia, tell her, she will never have my child. She should go and find a way to have hers. Barren bitch."

Tunde slaps her. "How dare you Rachel?"

Rachel starts to laugh. "Tunde, you are very, very funny."

"Silvia is a hundred times better than you."

"Am I arguing with you? She can be mother Teresa if she likes but she should abort the mission of getting my child."

"I'm tired of this rubbish, if you don't come back home by tomorrow night, don't come back."

"I won't. Don't waste your time," she replied.

"And I will be coming back for my daughter," he said.

"We will meet in court baby boy," she replied smiling.

Tunde stormed out of the house and Rachel starts to laugh. The idiot didn't notice the video camera.

"Has he gone?" Mrs Adeniyi asks coming out carrying Ivy who was holding a piece of meat.

"Yeah. The idiot admitted to the fact he is cheating. Baby, since when did you start to eat meat?"

"Bah ma ma," Ivy replied.

"So, what do you want to do next? Are you sure you will not want to rethink this decision? What if he decides to leave Silvia?"

"Mum, it's like you don't understand what is going on. Please, don't say that. I'm so done with Tunde," she replied. "And Tunde is not going to leave that woman."

"Are you okay Imade?" Debby asks. Deborah was Imade's partner at Didi's stitches where she works. Her second partner Anna was not yet back to work as she just got married. Imade Osayande was a fashion designer.

"I'm fine," Imade replied. "Just a lot on my mind."

"You can talk to me," Debby replied.

"It's Sandra's father."

"What about him? I thought you said he wasn't in your life?"

"He isn't. But his family has been harassing my mum saying they want Sandra and the idiot is not saying anything about it."

"Where is he?"

"He has been abroad since even before I gave birth to Sandra and never even sent a dime for her upkeep. It has been my mum and siblings assisting me."

"First of all, calm down. His family has no right to take your daughter away from you as far as you are slim and sane. It's not as if you can't care for your daughter. You have a good job and lots of support," Debby said. "I know you are probably worried about your mum. Try to talk to her to ignore them."

"I will try my best," Imade replied.

"Imade, you have a delivery," said Ella coming in with a small wrapped package.

"Thank you," she replied wondering what the package was.

When Ella left, Debby asks, "is it from an admirer? Because I can smell chocolates."

"I don't know," she replied unwrapping the package and true to what Debby said, it was chocolate. "You are right. There was a note."

"I hope you enjoy this chocolate and know that I'm thinking of you. Edem."

"Care for some?" She asks Debby.

"Thank you," Debby replied taking a piece. "I'll be in my work room if you need anything."

"Alright, thank you."

Edem was a guy she met during a flight. They got talking and exchanged contacts and for a while, he has been asking her out.

"Tunde, is it true your wife found out about you and Silvia?" His mum, Mrs Olatunji asks. "How could you be so careless?"

"It isn't my fault. She came home earlier than planned and met Silvia," Tunde replied.

"Have you tried apologizing to her? You know most women this days see men cheating as a normal thing. She will forgive you."

"That's not the issue mum. The thing is that she knows what we plan on doing to her. She knows I only want her because I need children."

"How did she find out?"

"I don't know mum. I feel she has known for a long time. She has been using contraceptives."

"What are you going to do now?"

"Honestly mum, I don't know," he replied.

"Tell her you want your child or you will take her to Court. Threaten her. I don't think she can afford to go to court. She is not financially stable and will not be able to afford a good lawyer."

"What of her sister?" Tunde asks.

"Which her sister?"

"Mum, Rachel's sister is married to a very rich guy from a very rich family and she could help Rachel."

"I thought they don't get along," Mrs Olatunji replied.

"They are good now mum. Her sister can use her husband's influence."

"Hmmm, the we have to plan. I will talk to Silvia's mum. Well will come up with a plan."

Rachel went to Andre's house. Andre was her sister's husband's friend who had happened to help her when she left her husband and she wanted to thank him for his help.

"Easy big baby," she said to her daughter Ivy who also wanted to touch the door bell because her mum touched it. Rachel rang the doorbell again.

Andre opened the door frowning.

"Good afternoon," Rachel greeted.

"Hey," he replied smiling. He actually thought it would be his sister. "How did you know where I live?"

"Anna told me," she replied as Ivy stretched her hands to Andre. "Sorry, I came without informing you."

"No problem. Come in," he said carrying Ivy from her. "Hello princess. How are you? You are so pretty." He led her to the living room and said, "have a seat."

"Thank you," she replied sitting.

He sat opposite her with Ivy on his knees babbling.

"I actually came to thank you. I realised you didn't pay for the hotel with my card and I was not allowed to pay for anything at all because of you," she said. "I really appreciate it. At that moment, you coming out of no where and helping me, it means a lot."

"You are welcome Rachel," he replied. "Are you alright now? Has everything been settled?"

"I hope it will be because I think it's going to be a long process."

"Why? Are you ill or something?"

"No, it's not that. It doesn't matter, everything will be fine."

"Did anything happen to your husband?"

"I said never mind," she replied smiling.

"Well, I'm very nosy. What's your baby's name?"

"Ivy," Rachel replied.

"Ivy, can we tell me why mummy was crying the other night?" Ivy stared at him for a while before pulling his beards. "Ouch," he cried. "That's unfair Ivy." And Ivy starts to laugh.

"She's can be very naughty," Rachel said.

"I can see that. You don't still want to tell me why you were crying. Who knows? I could help."

"You will not understand," she replied.

"Try me."

"My husband is a cheat," Rachel said. "He does not love me at all. He has someone else and all he wants from me is children and after then, he will find a way to get rid of me, take my kids and marry his lover."

"You are joking, right?" Andre asks surprised. "Can I put her to sit on the floor? She seems to want to come down."

"Yes, you can."

Ivy was happy to regain her freedom finally.

"And no, it's not a joke," Rachel added.

"Have you told your family? Is your sister aware?" He asks.

"Yes, I've told them."

"Wow! Your husband is evil if he has such a thing in mind. Is his lover incapable of hands a child?"

"I think so," she replied.

"So, what are you going to do about it?"

"I have a plan Mr Andre," she replied.

"Oh please, just call me Andee or just Dre," he said. "Can I know what your plan is?"

"I don't think you would not want to know. You are a guy and you will think I'm cruel."

"It's not a new thing. Every human have the potential to be cruel and secondly, I have sisters and if their husband do such a thing to them, I won't mind if they become evil as far as it is to punish the guy."

"I don't think I will want to share that with anyone yet," she replied.

"Do you have a lawyer yet?"

"Well, I'm still searching for a very good one at the moment. One I can afford."

"Ask your sister for help, she knows a lot of people."

"I want to but she just got married and I don't want to bother her. I have bothered her enough."

"Can I suggest someone to you?" He asks.

"Sure," she replied.

"I will give you a card and you will call to fix an appointment to see the lady. She is very good and will be able to help you."

"What's her name?"

"Gladys Adejoke Thompson," he replied.

"Alright."

Rachel left soon after she collected the card from Andre. She was hoping to give the lawyer a try.
