9 Chapter 8: Attack of the fox

The next couple of weeks had gone okay my life hasn't changed much other then I was closer to mom. The other thing was that no matter where I went poeple had heard of what i had done. Some would call me a little monster while others would simply give looks of dislike. It hadn't gotten to bad yet if I'm lucky it wouldn't get physical.

Today I'm going to be doing some small amount of training both physically and with chakra. Mom had also gotten me some training kunai while she was shopping the other day which was amazing i couldn't stop smiling the entire day.

Walking outside of my room i make my way to go get breakfast and tell mom about what I was doing today. That was also a change I would have to tell mom where I was going and how long I would be out It hasn't been to bad.

Walking into the room i could see that mom was busy feeding some of the little kids, well they were close to my age but you could tell we were very different from me. I would talk to her after eating i decided not to disturb her at the moment. Grabing a try of food i make my way to a empty table which I usually sit at alone. The kids here don't like me much but I dont really mind as much as i thought I would.

'I should also work on using my sharingan while I'm running and training in general' I thought while eating. 'Maybe I could start working on justu as well but ill wait untill i could watch some doing the most basic ones with my sharingan' finishing my food I but my tray away and walk over to mom who had just finished feeding the kids and was cleaning the table.

"Hey mom can I go train in the back yard?" I asked while walking up to her.

"Have you eaten sweetie?"

"Yup I just finished so can I?"

"Yes you can but don't hurt yourself and be back before dinner" mom said while giving me a hug then going back to her cleaning.

Walking through the building heading towards the back door i stop by my room to grab my training kunai and walk into the backyard. I didn't know what the backyard was like here before or else i wouldn't have gone to the park as often. There was clearing with lots of trees around it behind the orphanage which makes for a perfect place to practice.

Walking through the trees i stop at a mini trqining ground i had made with the help of mom a couple of days ago. On a few trees in front of me were targets to practice my throwing on and to the side of them were wooden dummies I could practice a little taijutsu on but thats a work in progress. For the next couple of hours that's what I did my aim wasn't to bad but I was still working on it. And the second last thing i worked on was tree walking which wasn't as hard as I thought it would have been probably because I don't have that big of chakra reserves meaning I have better control.

The last thing i did before heading back was running around the little forest untill i was covered in sweat and tired. Making my way back after my training session I was happy with how much i was starting to get used to it not only that but my sharingan as well i could hold it for the entire 5 to 6 hours im out here. I usually don't use it when I train my throwing because I want to get better at that without my sharingan as a cruch.

Coming inside the orphanage the first thing i need to do is grab some clothes so I can shower so proceed to do just that. While on my way there I had seen mom with all the other workers making breakfast so I stopped by to tell her I had returned getting a hug and kiss on the for head for it. Smiling for the rest of the afternoon I couldnt believe how simple things from mom could effect me so much I am glad I have her.

After I had finished up for the day gotten dinner, showered and mom had tucked me into bed which she insisted on doing. I fell asleep content with life and happy with all i have.

Later that night i had awoken in a cold sweat my breathing being was being stop in short puffs like there was some sort of pressure on my entire body. For a moment I was confused and thought someone was trying to strangle me but after a moment everything came into focus as I opened my eyes. The room was bathed in red light and small tremors were going through the ground shaking the building.

I tried to get up to my annoyance i couldnt get up, I could barely lift up my arm under the colossal pressure pressing down on me.

"Shiko-chan im here shh im right here come on we have to evaluate the others have left" mom burst into the room in a panic.

"Mom I can't move" I barely got out of my mouth, breathing starting to get harder and harder.

"Its okay I got you" mom said as she picked me up and took me out of the room. As we made our way outside I got my first glimpse of the monster that was the nine tails."raaawwrrr" it roared out while lashing out and destroying intire buildings in its wake not far from us.

While carrying me mom ran towards one of the bunkers that the hidden leaf has i remember that the Civilians hid there during the attack. Turning back towards the nine tails i saw it swing its arm up and destroy a building that was not to far from us as mom tripped from the shaking of the ground. I had fallen out of moms hands and rolled to a stop a couple feet away. I could barely move as I wached the building close to mom start to collapse.

"Mom watch out!!" I screamed as loud as I could with my labored breathing. The building came down as I could do nothing but watch mom giving me a teary eyes smile. "Nooo!" I screamed while crawling my way towards the fallen building. "Come on come you have to be okay you have to be okay!" Making it to mom all i could see was her unmoving body. My eyes starting to burn agian i couldn't feel anything but pain from both my eyes and head.

Knowledge that came from know where started to appear in my head. Wiping the tears from my face i barely noticed they were blood read as i faced the nine tails unblinking saying one last word i became dead to the world watching a blood red beam of light fall on the monster falling unconscious right after.

"Raijin: Raijin no ikari"
