19 Chapter 18: Red eyed demon

"are you ready to go Shiko-chan" asked Mei while waiting for me at the front entrance of the compound.

"Almost let me just say goodbye to Haku and Yumi" I replied while said girls were making there way towards me.

"Shiko-chan stay safe okay and come back in one piece"

"Yeah we'll be waiting for your return" Haku said will waving me off.

"Alright lets go then we have a couple of days of travel ahead of us"

"Yeah lets go" waving back at the two Yuki girls we set out on our first mission.

Its been a month since my abrupt transformation and at the beginning I had alot of trouble with chakra control and my jutsu would come out way to powerful. Plus everyone was shocked at my new look and I seemed to give most of the people around the compound the creeps with my eyes which was fun hehe, I had also started training with Mei and Ao. Mei had me practice Jutsu while standing on water and she would pelt me with Jutsu of her own, she really destroyed most of my wardrobe I had left. I had also learned the hidden most jutsu, with my upgraded sharingan looking through the thick mist my jutsu made was really easy.With Ao it was stealth training i would hide from him while trying to assassinate him without being cought. As well as sensory training.

My chakra was more then 70 percent nature chakra at this point so when he would try to find me I could just compress my chakra and simply disappear from his sensory field. That had sparked a rivalry between us with me sneaking up on him left and right while he would try and find me. Right now i was easily in the lead. That leads to right now Mei had gotten a job to protect a merchant while he traveled from from the land of hot waters too the land of waves.When Mei first told me we would be going on this mission my first thought was to kill Gato and be done with that asshole bit after thinking about it i could leave him be and when Gato wanted to hire ninja to aid him in killing the bridge builder I could sign myself up and mess with team 7 a bit.

The journey to the land of hot waters was going to take us around 3 days at ninja speeds with a boat right at the start. We were currently on our way to one of the boats the rebellion had stashed away they had boats and hideouts in alot of different places that haven't been found as of yet from what Mei tells me.

~~time skip 6 hours~~

We had gotten on the boat and taken it to the land of hot waters where we hit landfall after 3 hours of being out on the water. "Mei-san who is targeting our client i forgot to ask you earlier" i asked after getting back on the move on solid land.

"Our client is a wealthy merchant that has pissed off alot off people from the hidden cloud village were he seemed to have caused quite a mess before he left. While he was going to ask some ninja from the village hidden in hot waters but they declined it saying they didn't want trouble with the hidden cloud. Thats were we come in hes willing to pay alot of money for his safe return to the land of waves. We will probably incounter some enemy ninja while on the road so stay vigilant"

"Got it" I said while making sure my gear was in order. I had gotten new clothes after I started training with Mei, my shirt was now a very dark blue with dark red highlights and black ninja pants with black sandals to finish off my current look. I had also been given a Kiri headband with a screach though it before we left. The last thing i had to do was making sure my kunai and shuriken were ready to go after we continued our journey in relative silence only talking when we needed to.

~~time skip 2 days~~

A small town came into focus in the distance, while we were traveling and making camping I had noticed that the land of hot water was a beautiful place. With massive forests and big rivers. I had completely forgotten the beauty of these lands maybe when all is said and done i could travel, see the world for what it is.

"Shiko chan were getting close to the town were going to meet our client i need you to be on your best behavior, i know you won't do anything on your own but the client might not be a good man. Just remember were doing this for the money to further our cause" Mei said while looking back at me.

"You don't need to worry so much Mei-san ill keep myself in check no matter what plus with my eyes i think he'll think twice about messing with me"

"I guess but dont show off you eyes to much we can't have leaf ninja being notified of your new position within our grouo so soon"

"Of course" i replyed while tightening my headband around my forhead and mostly covering my eyes with my bangs.

When we made into the town we first headed into a inn to book a room for the both of us, We would be staying here one night before heading out tomorrow. After booking the room we headed the meeting place to see our client for the first time the meeting place was a old looking warehouse at the edge of town. Knocking on the front door we waited for a answer that came after a few moments, the person that opened the door was a balding old man with a gut who smelled like dead fish.

"Who are you and what do you want"

"We're the ninja you hired for your trip my name is Mei and my companion is Shiko"

"Haa there's just two of you what ever my name is Samu nice to meet you" he started to check out Mei's body and didn't stop even after he introduced himself.

"We'll be leaving for the land of waves tomorrow afternoon we will meet you here then before heading out" Mei said with a fake smile on her face.

"Alright but you could stay the night here if you'd like girly I'll even pay ya extra how about it"

"No thanks Samu-san theres no need we will see you tomorrow" Mei replied with a frosty tone. Turning around we head back to our inn for the night while the sun starts to dip down the horizon.

"Mei-san are you alright"

"Yes he was just a creep, remember Shiko-chan if a man like that ever puts his hands on you you cut them off alright!" Mei replied with a alot of enthusiasm.After that we turned in for the night my first mission would start tomorrow. Before I went to sleep I spent a hour practicing my chakra sensing, I didnt need to much work with it being able to access nature chakra but a little training wont hurt. The next morning we had met up with Samu at the warehouse he had a carriage that he'll be riding on ready with a lot of things packed away on it. When we hit the road I was behind our client while Mei was in the front.

~~time skip a day and a half~~

~~3rd P.O.V~~

A group of three cloud shinobi were currently on a assassination mission, The leader was a tall but skinny man with brown hair and eyes. The second ninja on the team was a chubby short man with black hair and brown eyes. Lastly the final member of this team was a short skinny girl with black hair and eyes. This team was currently waiting in a ambush ahead of there target from there earlier scouting there was only two girls guarding the man which should make this a really easy mission.

As the carriage came into view the squad of three waited untill it passed before jumping down behind the youngest girl. The leader had just raised his kunai to strike her down before he suddenly fell side ways. Letting out confused sounds the other two prepare to attack before making the same mistake as there leader. The last thing all three of them saw before blacking out was fierce Glowing red eyes.

"Shiko-chan hurry and get ride of them we most be on our way" the girl in the front said as she leaned on the side of the carriage. Letting out a sigh Shiko took out a kunai and slit the two men's throats but when she got to the third member Shiko saw that it was just a girl around her age. Not wanting to kill someone young agian Shiko cleaned her kunai before heading back to the carriage.

"Shiko-chan you left one alive back there"

"I know bit i can't kill her shes just as young as me. Let's just leave her she wont be able to come after us the genjutsu a put her in wont break untill tomorrow"

"Fine but dont you start getting soft Leaving a enemy alive is a sure fire way to get your self killed. I'll let it slide this time but next time finish the job" scolded Mei as the group started moving agian.

They did not know it but the girl they gave mercy to would wake up to the sight of her dead teammates both of which were jonin. She would return to her home and tell the ninja of the hidden cloud village what had happened to her team, the legend of the red eyed demon will be placed into the bingo book and Shiko would take her first step into the world of ninja.
