3 3 The Path I chose

Lesley stared at him for a moment and sighed. "Want to know why I became an assassin?"

Gusion nodded.

Lesley held her left eye. "This was done by the assassin who killed my parents. I am not really sure why he didn't kill us back then. He just said he's not in the mood to kill us or something like that."

Gusion approached her. He held her hand that is in her left eye and stare directly to her right eye. "What a shame, you do have pretty eyes."

Overwhelmed and blushing, Lesley pushed him back a bit hard.

"You really are hard to get along with." Holding his bump that hit the ground.

"Y-y-you deserve that for d-doing embarrassing things." Blushing and looking away.

Gusion laughed. "Hahahaha so you're actually a girl."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Lesley raises her eyebrow.

"Well you don't usually show your emotions when we usually see you in meetings. But who would have known that you have this side as well." Gusion said as he look closely to Lesley's face.

Lesley grabbed her rifle and point it to Gusion. "Die!"

"Woah there!" Gusion raised his hands. "I'm kidding. So you can continue your story."

Lesley put back her rifle into position and sighed. "Before he left us, alive, he said something." She held her left eye again.

Gusion did not make any sound and is listening closely.

"That if we see each other here in the Land of Dawn, we will kill each other." She said.

Gusion felt a pain in his head. He felt like he heard what she just said somewhere but he doesn't remember.

Lesley stood up and got near Gusion when she noticed he is in pain. "Hey Gusion, are you okay? What's happening to you? Hey!"

Gusion smiled teasingly. "Just acting. To see of you care for me." Lesley rolled her eyes and went back to where she is sitting before. "So, do you know anything about him?"

She looked down. "He told me his name. But-"

"Then what is it? We can kick his ass as soon as possible." Gusion said.

"Wait!! For some reason I can't remember his name. I remember everything he said that night but not his name even when he said not to forget about it." She said.

"Ohh! That's not good." Gusion replied. "But do you know anything about him? His looks? Anything?"

"I only know for now that he is the same age as me now and--" She stares deadly at him. "And he uses blades like yours."

Gusion felt a chill down his spine. "Hey, hey, hey! I'm sure it's just a coincidence, right? It's just a coincidence." Gesturing his hands to defend himself.

Lesley giggled. "I'm pretty sure you're not him."

Gusion sighed of relief. "What made you so sure?"

She looked directly into his eyes. "You don't have his eyes of demon."

Due to the darkness of night. Lesley didn't notice that Gusion's face was tinged with pink.

"I became an assassin in hope of finding him in this circle since he is an assassin. So that I can kill him as soon as possible." She said as her eyes was filled with hatred.

Gusion felt her strong desire to kill the assassin she is talking about.

"Target arrived. Finish the mission fast!" The man in the other line of their communication device said.

"Understood." She replied.

"Gusion to the nearby area. If I fail, it's up to you." She motioned herself towards her rifle and lock the aim to the target.

"I'm pretty sure you won't fail. Even if I wanted to, so I can get the credits." Gusion remark before he leaves.

She looked back to curse him but he's gone. "Okay, let's finish this with one shot."

BANG~

"Mission Accomplished." She said to the man on the other line.

"Good. You can wrap up now."

She removed her communication device and get ready to go home.
