3 Irritated Goddess

Aphrodite's POV_

I never wanted to kill somebody this bad. Not until today.

"Goddess of Love, and don't know about moving on?" Athena yelped as she cackled even more.

"Aphrodite hasn't even fallen in love for who knows how many eons ago." Artemis tried to stifle the laughter and wiped the tears on her already wet cheeks.

"What about Heppy? Hephaestus? Aren't you two going out?" Athena smirked.

"Shut up, both of you. And Athena, don't drag Hephaestus in this conversation." Athena's expression creased into an accusatory look. Her hands against her chin, scrutinizing the words I said in her head. "Somebody's not over Heppy."

"Old flame returns." Artemis mumbled under her breath.

"How can you two slack this much on your job?" I grunted in frustration. I reached for the remaining stacks of untouched reports. "Just how?"

"Arion can definitely do your job better than you." Athena snickered when she stared at my confused state.

"Whatever." Annoyance making my eyes roll.

"How come Aphrodite doesn't know the concept of moving on?" Athena sighed. Artemis stared at me, her face full of questions.

"It never occurred to me that humans need time to think things through. They've been foolish since day one." I groaned in defeat. The papers now laying neatly on my desk.

"I can't believe I have to explain this." Athena complained as she continues to explain. Lecturing has always been Athena's breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Athena specials. The one thing she can't live and will never live without."Humans need that. They don't have all the time in the world. Losing someone they've bent heaven and hell for is not easy to deal with."

"It's not like she died, Athena."

"She didn't. But she abandoned him. In human emotion, being left behind needs time for recovery. They have to collect themselves in order to function in normalcy again. That was moving on." Athena didn't stutter nor falter. She seemed so sure of the sentences that came out of her mouth.

"Is that really necessary to humans?"

Artemis and Athena both looked at each other. They sighed in defeat. Artemis noticed Arion standing motionless at the side of the door.

"I'm sorry Arion, this might take longer." She apologized.

Arion smiled and bowed a little."Take as much time as needed to help Miss Aphrodite."

Traitor.

Both my sisters burst in laughter.

William's POV_

I should've proposed to Oggy's beer instead. We complement each other too well, it's unrealistic. I chugged another pint as Jerry grumbled gibber beside me. He insisted on going here to drink and let loose of my senses. Guess the plan tragically backfired.

"How many months s-since I-I've been-been out with a girl?" His words slugged because of alcohol. "It makes me sad, Will."

Jerry reached for me. I can smell his breath when he fastened his arms around me and started crying.

"Jerry, you're drunk." I worked to lose his hold to me. Jerry raised his glass of beer, hitting my nose with its nudge.

"I'm hopeless, Will. No one will look at me like how I look at this beer." He continued to sob. "Can I kiss you, beer?" He cooed when he gently trailed his fingers against the glass.

"Unlike women, the beer won't ever leave you." I tapped Jerry's glass.

Jerry, little by little closed his eyes, "Will, don't wallow on your own sadness. Don't be bitter, you sweet baby fool." And then, the next I heard is snoring.

I looked away pondering if I can look away just the same on my problems. Maybe God did the same.
