3 CHAPTER 3

Kayla's POV

It didn't take long for the guards to start hauling us away towards the housing we would be staying in for the next week. Don't ask me why but they give us time to get to know each other. I see it as pointless because only one of these men will get to live. As usual we just have to play their game. We were taken to a parking lot where 4 different cars were waiting for us. The guards separated us. One in each car. I was put into the first car with a guard climbing in across from me shortly after. I never said a word the first 20 minutes of the car ride. The car was silent till the guard decided to try and make conversation.

Guard: I would eat something if I was you, its a long ride to the house.

Me: I am not hungry.

He just laughs. I didn't understand what was so funny about that. I guess you could see the confusion on my face.

Guard: I can tell you are a feisty one. I feel bad for the man that wins you.

I didn't reply with words, just flipped him off. The guard just continued to laugh but I ignored him. We had another 2 hours before we reached the house. Far I know, but the house was literally in the middle of no where so that the people couldn't run. I decided to just look out the window and think. I wondered what the guys must be thinking. Were they okay with everything that was happening? I know I wasn't but what could I do. I have seen so many people suffer because they try to fight and disobey the royal family. The time went by quickly as my thoughts ran wild. I could see the house in the distance. Let me just say, it was beautiful, to put it simply.

No one besides the 4 people that are picked every year has seen the house. Another way to make sure no tries to run. All four cars pulled up to the house at the same time. I could see the other 3 guards get out first before the men climbed out of the back seat. As soon as everyone was out of the cars we were ushered inside and lead to each of our rooms one at a time. The guys would be in rooms downstairs while my room would be upstairs. Andrew room was the first stop on the house tour. The view from the room was beautiful. I can't even imagine how much money this room is worth. After Andrew put all his stuff down and got comfortable it was onto Krane's room. The room was more simple but still probably worth a lot of money. The bed was probably worth as much as my house. Krane made himself comfy on the huge bed. So the last room downstairs was Josh's.

This room is by far my favorite. The colors were simple and plain but they were put together so well. After all the men were settled it was time for me to get settled in my room. I was taken upstairs and to the end of the hall where doubled doors stood.

My room was easily the biggest room of all four. The guard helped me carry my bags into the room. I set all of them on the bed so that I could unpack. If I was going to be forced to stay here I was going to enjoy it while I can. It was only 5pm and dinner wasn't till 6:30. I had an hour to relax and settle in before I had to go downstairs for dinner. I took this as my opportunity to take a nice hot shower. It has been 3 days since I have had a hot shower so I was going to enjoy this. I grabbed some clothes and head towards the bathroom. It was amazing just like the bedroom.

I decided that a quick shower would be best. I set my clothes down on the counter and climbed under the hot water. To say I love it would be an understatement. It didn't take me long to wash my hair and body before climbing back out. I looked at the clock that read 5:30. I guess I spent a little longer in the shower than I thought. After drying off I put on my simple but cute outfit.

After I was dressed it was time to at least try and fix my hair. It had been a long day so it was all over the place. I wanted to do something simple but pretty. I was finally ready and just in time too. The clock read 6:25 so I started to walk down the hall and towards the stairs. Once I finally found the dining room I realize I was the first one to dinner. I sat down at the head of the table and waited. Just like everything else the dining room was perfect. It took about another 3 minutes for the guys to show up and sit down. Well lets see how this dinner goes.
