2 Swarm

While Alex and Jack were looking for a safer, untouched place they came upon some voices. Their voices echoed through the forest and they were filled with excitement.

"Did you see them, newbies? They were running around like headless chickens haha EZ" A deeper voice replied "They got some lucky drops they should thank us for taking care of their items"

Alex and Jack hid behind a tree and looked at the two men. They wore some basic clothes along with some knives, tents and a single bow. The one on the right had an orange shirt with light armor while the one on the left had a dark green shirt. Alex grabbed his bow and aimed at the one wearing an orange shirt. Alex aimed to the shoulder in hopes of hitting the heart.

*Swish*

The arrow pierced into the man's neck causing to slowly suffocate. When the other man noticed this he cursed "FUCK". He pulled out a dark metal object, a gun. He randomly fired around into the trees hoping to hit something. Alex suddenly ran out and Jack tried to stop him from running into a bullet.

The gun had run out of rounds. Alex pushed the man's arm away with his left hand and used his right arm to punch just below the man's ribs causing him to lose all his breath. He then followed with an open palm to the man's nose *Crunch* before raising his knee and kicking him in the side. After the barrage of hits, the man eyes were wide open and he fell onto the floor coughing up blood and gasping for breath.

Alex pulled out his knife and cut open the man's neck causing blood to spurt out and him dying. "EZ bastard". Alex hated people who acted like they were the strongest. He grabbed the gun and swiftly pulled out the magazine before replacing the bullets with the other ones he found on the man's body. He completely reloaded the gun in a few seconds and handed it to Jack.

"Take it, a bow is too hard for you to pull back on. Just use that gun instead I'll find another eventually" "You are quite good at handling guns" Alex replied nonchalantly "I know". Jack looked at the gun and saw a D on it. Alex took the armor and asked Jack "What does the letter mean?" "The weapons rank, the highest I know of is A+" Alex let out a grunt of acknowledgment before putting on the armor that had an E+ on it.

Jack suddenly spoke up "I just remembered that even players have ranks, It will be somewhere on your body" Alex started searching himself for the mark and found it on his right shoulder. D+. Jack looked happy as he said "It depends on your kills and skills, Since you are D+ with just a few kills you must be pretty good"

Alex and Jack continued on searching for a place to stay meanwhile...

In small fortress surrounded by vehicles and weapons a man sat on a chair. He looked menacing but he was without scars or wounds. His nose was straight indicating that he had never broken it. A soldier like a man came charging inside the door, he was equipped with full light armor and a semi-automatic rifle. "Boss, we found some dead scouts on the way". The Boss looked at the soldier "So?" The soldier looked up with bitterness "The killer wrote EZ next to the bodies"

The Boss looked enraged as his eyes went red, "Find them and kill them" "Yes sir" 5 vehicles drove out of the base and began to search around.

Alex was walking around when he noticed large grunting noises and the sounds of beasts. He climbed up the tree for a better view and what he saw surprised him. Around the forest, millions of zombies were slowly circling the forest. Alex jumped down and told Jack "There are millions of zombies surrounding us, what the fuck is going on" "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, to stop matches lasting for years the playable zone becomes smaller and smaller since the mobs are zombies the outzone is zombies."

Alex asked, "What is behind the outline?" "Nobody knows, even the strongest factions haven't gone outside there yet" Alex wondered about it for a bit before saying "We have to go towards the center then". Jack agreed and they headed away from the swarm.

As they were walking away from the swarm Alex suddenly stopped walking. Jack also stopped "What?" "Listen" Jack went silent and could hear light humming getting closer. "Run Now" Alex suddenly sprinted with Jack following close behind him. Alex ran through the forest while jumping over every fallen log and weaving through the trees while avoiding the humming sound like the plague.

The sound was getting louder and louder, stronger and closer. Alex could see the trees shaking from the sound. Eventually, Alex and Jack came across a cave and the humming sound was just behind them. Not thinking they both ran into the cave and the humming sound revealed itself. Five vehicles stopped in front of the cave and the men and women inside got out.

"Shit, they entered the cave," another said, "Big Boss said nobody was allowed to enter inside" "But Boss said to catch them," Another one said "We can just wait outside for them to come out"
