40 Chapter 40: I don't want to see you again

The crimson explosions cause smokes to spread but even then, Calter's senses still warned him

The sense of danger enable Calter to dodge just in time to move his head from its original location

If Calter didn't do that in time, Kence's crystal sword might have stabbed his head already

Kence was definitely not holding back in the slightest. Each and every move of him was deadly

With this, Calter doesn't have a choice but to fight. He needs to tire Kence out, only then would they have a chance to talk

The effects of gravity on Calter nullified and his body floated in the air. His pitch-black hair fluttered in the winds while his galactic eyes were filled with seriousness

A faint draconic might descended as some pieces of the earth floated alongside him

In return, Kence created tens of icy feathers and uses them to clash with Calter's attacks

When the icy feathers made contact with the blocks of earth, they smashed them into smaller chunks before Kence jumped in the air

His sword disintegrated and turned into smaller pieces of icy knives. The knives drew a beautiful blue arc in the air but with a wave of Calter's hand, they acted as if they were met with strong resistance

Gravity itself was amplified making it harder for the ice knives to get closer to Calter

However, in the next second, Kence puts two of his fingers in front of him and the ice knives glowed with a slightly bright light

The power they contained exploded and even with the effects of gravity, they still managed to fly in the air at a fast speed

Without a choice, Calter can only create chaos balls that sucked and devoured the ice knives

Calter just finished doing that when he saw Kence stepping in the air. A thin block of ice will always form below him that he uses as a proper footing. This enabled him to get closer to Calter and when the range is enough Kence made another move

A large snowflake suddenly formed in Kence's hand and he grips it with his fingers tightly

The snowflake looks beautiful and enchanting but it looks very sharp as if it can cut apart everything in its path

With a cold look on his face, Kence threw the snowflake. It drew another beautiful arc in the air as it approaches Calter at a fast speed

With the help of gravity, Calter managed to evade just for Kence to forcefully pull back his still stretched arm

A sense of danger once again spreads in Calter's body and he immediately twisted his body

A chaos ball larger than the ones Calter created in the past formed in front of his palms

The chaos ball and snowflake clashed sending sparks flying around. This time, the chaos ball was not able to easily suck and devour its target

The snowflake was madly resisting and if that wasn't enough, Kence even continued

He sent icy streaks of energy in Calter's direction and he is now facing attacks from the front and behind

Thus, Calter was forced to moved one of his hand to create another chaos ball to defend himself from the streaks of icy energy

However, since his power was divided into two, the still resisting snowflake gave Calter an even harder time

The Dragon Marks inside Calter's soul churned and burned even more power. It was afraid of Kence's current state and they were screaming for Calter to do something about the situation

While releasing low draconic growls, Calter forcefully had his chaos balls explode, shattering Kence's attacks in the process

However, Calter wasn't left unscathed. Due to the explosion, his hands were now bleeding and injured

If he wasn't able to grow dragon scales in his hand on time, the damage he would sustain would be even more serious

Even then, the dragon scales were completely destroyed already. Even such scales cannot easily withstand the power generated by the explosion of the chaos ball

Calter and Kence clashed for a few more minutes before the latter run out of energy

Not only did Kence fight Gary that was still lying on the ground. He also recklessly fought Calter that was more or less at his level

It wasn't a surprise that he would run out of energy

When Kence tried to attack Calter again, the latter nimbly placed his hand into his abdomen

A pressure was release from Calter's palm that force back Kence's body for a few meters before he was forced to his knees

Although Calter didn't heavily injure Kence since he doesn't want to do that, his man still inevitably sustained damage in their fight

That pained Calter's heart but he doesn't have a choice. Only when Kence's energy was spent did the bone-chilling coldness in his eyes vanishes

The coldness that Kence's eyes holds when they were fighting was completely different from normal. It was something that makes Calter's Dragon Blood and Soul anxious

When Kence recovered, he was still disappointed and angry at Calter but he knew that he cannot win this fight

Calter tried to help Kence stand up but the latter just slapped his hand away. Although the slap wasn't that painful, it still causes Calter to feel as if someone slapped his hand thousands of times

Painful! It was painful and suffocating! Calter once again did something that will further break his already fragile relationship with Kence

"Take your trash away and I don't ever want to see you again" Kence said with venom on his voice. The trash he pertained to was Gary Sternix that barely managed to prevent himself from losing consciousness

Although Gary persistently tried to stay conscious, he was still so powerless that he cannot move anymore. Not to mention, Kence's ice power was still lingering inside him that is making his situation worse

With that, Kence starts walking away despite the overwhelming sense of weakness in his body before he remembered something

Kence turned his head back and spoke sarcastically. "And oh, if your mighty grandfather wants to meet me, tell him that he is the one that should visit me. But even then, I still have the option to see him or not"

After saying his words, Kence walks away again without ever looking back for the second time
