2 Knowledge Expansion Sector

[ Welcome to the Fictional Transcension System ]

Lu Fengyi looked around quickly, however the only sight that greeted him was endless darkness, it was almost as if he was still in his coma.

Seconds after the mysterious voice, a small interface the size of a conventional tablet appeared before him. The interface seemed almost exactly like his desktop, however all his drafts and folders had been replaced with several icons that looked like the Samsung 'settings' button. Lu Fengyi had read about these system novels before, in fact, he had even tried to implement it into his own novel, however due to the two ideas conflicting completely, he could only delete.

Following his intuition and experience as a long term author and reader, Lu Fengyi spoke out towards the system, "System, please explain the current situation."

[ Affirmed ]

[ Your current situation has been broken down into several points ]

[ You are currently within the loading zone to the internet world ]

[ You have been restricted to the zones related to 'Knowledge Expansion' ]

[ You are currently very confused ]

Lu Fengyi rolled his eyes in mocking humour, 'Damn right this system is. How would anyone not be confused?'

Taking a deep breath, Lu Fengyi continued, "Can you clarify the first two points mentioned?"

[ Affirmed ]

[ You have been pixelated and transported to the online world where you will spend your days until you complete the prerequisite missions ]

[ As your prerequisite missions are solely based around 'Knowledge Expansion', you will be strictly limited to locations and options that are related to Knowledge Expansion ]

Lu Fengyi opened his mouth again, about to question the system once more when the system interrupted his impending speech.

[ Please stop asking questions, the best method for you to solve your queries is to dive straight into the online world. I do have other people to serve as well, so if you'll excuse me ]

The interface disappeared along with the blackness, now replaced by a technological burst of colours and images. The images reformed and constructed, materialising a city before Lu Fengyi's eyes. Although the city seemed quite familiar and modern, each of the buildings were plastered with popular internet sites that Lu Fengyi had seen before.

The smaller, would be merchandise shops had numerous unknown sites that seemed obscure or too complex for a normal person to know while towering above the city itself, stood a large, pyramid like structure with a glowing, colourful GOOGLE spelt upon it.

[ Lu Fengyi, hosted by the Fictional Transcension System, directed to the 'Knowledge Expansion' sector ]

A mechanical voice sounded out throughout the space before a powerful suction force dragged Lu Fengyi's consciousness at the speed of light towards a well developed section of the city. There stood several large structures, surrounded by hundreds of smaller shops and several thousands of pedestrians moving in between them.

[ Lu Fengyi, hosted by the Fictional Transcension System, arrived at the 'Knowledge Expansion' sector. Enjoy your stay ]

Lu Fengyi looked around the area and saw the multitude of sites that were displayed upon the shop fronts. Gravity Tales, Royal Road, Wuxiaworld... There were just too many sites that he recognised from his experience of browsing web novels.

Upon looking closely at the passing pedestrians, Lu Fengyi noticed that each of them had a folded letter within their hands and were rushing into the numerous shops at a quick pace. 'Too odd! Is this a dream? Even if it is, my imagination isn't wild enough to dream up such fantastical nonsense!' Lu Fengyi though to himself.

As Lu Fengyi finally reached the end of the road he had been strolling through, he was met with a large intersection, each corner dominated by equally imposing buildings. By now the trademark symbols were gleaming vividly above his head, however the angle in which he viewed the logos disallowed him from differentiating them from each other.

"Young lad! Are you lost?"

Lu Fengyi turned his head towards the direction of the voice and saw a man dressed like a traffic regulator, standing in the middle of the intersection waving towards him. Lu Fengyi jogged quickly over to the traffic regulator before standing straight and replying, "I'm new to this place. Could you give me an explanation as to what I'm supposed to do?"

The traffic regulator pulled out an interface and scrolled quickly down what seemed like a register of names and profiles before stopping at Lu Fengyi's face and skimming through the details. After a short moment, the man nodded twice and began to direct Lu Fengyi, "I see you're new around here. This is the centre of the 'Knowledge Expansion' sector which you can consider your 'lobby' for the recent future. I'm not authorised to tell you what you're meant to do, however I can let you in on some advice. For now, think of a text genre you enjoy."

Lu Fengyi stood still for a while before answering, "My favourite genre should be Eastern Fantasy. After all, I write about eastern fantasy all the time so it'd be weird if it wasn't my favourite."

"Alright, head towards the tower on the right and reception should be able to take you up from there."

Lu Fengyi quickly thanked the traffic regulator before striding into the building that the man had pointed out. He was met with a perfectly polished interior that far outstripped any hotel he had visited before, a pristine crystal sculpture of a large book in the centre of the hall and a wide reception desk, each of the receptionists either waiting attentively or serving a customer.

Lu Fengyi stepped up the the reception desk and the beauty with perfectly curled hair and a doll like face repeated what the traffic regulator had done earlier, pulling out an interface and scrolling through the profiles. "Lu Fengyi, am I right?" the receptionist spoke out.

"Ahh, yes! May I know what I'm supposed to do?"

The receptionist pulled out a list of familiar novel names upon her interface before turning it around and directing a question towards Lu Fengyi, "If you were to be integrated into one of these following worlds, which would you choose?"

Lu Fengyi peered at the interface carefully, scanning through the short list of novel names.

[ Against the Gods ]

[ Martial God Asura ]

[ Library of Heaven's Path ]

[ War Sovereign Soaring the Heavens ]

Lu Fengyi though for a long moment before answering, "I would choose . . ."

The beauty clasped her hands together before forming a magic seal within her hands, "A well selected choice! A subsidiary attendant will be waiting for you on the other side. Have a safe journey!"

The world, for Lu Fengyi, went dark once more.
