Helping the man up to a recovery position, Lu Fengyi quickly checked for breathing and a pulse before sighing.

Lu Fengyi opened his eyes, startled at the sudden notification from the system. Gasping, as he realised that Zhang Xuan's body was now covered in a layer of glowing, gold energy, Lu Fengyi quickly withdrew his hand and stepped back.

[ Good thing you stopped. I didn't think that you would want to spend your own authorial energy on a character. Although you did end up giving Zhang Xuan a little buff, it isn't major, so you don't have to worry ]

Right after the system spoke, the familiar interface flashed before Lu Fengyi, displaying three options which were decorated with pictures that explained their function.

Thinking quietly to himself, Lu Fengyi thought for moments before selecting the third option. While helping Zhang Xuan increase his cultivation realm was good, it was more important to influence the entire world as a whole instead of simply aiding the main character. With his appearance within the novel and the degree to which he had permeated into the story, it was not safe to say that Zhang Xuan would follow the story, possibly deviating to a future in which Zhang Xuan did not progress as far as he did.

Curious to one of the details about the choice he had made, Lu Fengyi asked, 'What does it mean by ( Note : This change is permanent )? Aren't all choices permanent? Or maybe the first choice only lasts several days or something like that?'

"It's like this, I may have accidentally caused you to fall unconscious, however I have made proper amendments to the situation and you have been duly compensated." Lu Fengyi replied.
