1 New beginnings!!! Or... Not?

Cole Ryusei, an ordinary mortal with an ordinary name on an ordinary planet called Earth, living a very ordinary life. A medium built, 5'10" tall, 160lb man with jet black hair and black coloured eyes and healthy lightly tanned skin.

Although one aspect of his life that he would consider to be unordinary would be his love for almost anything fictional. Weather it be movies, video games, physical novels, webnovels, animes, comics and manga. But of course, he has his preferences, much like everyone else.

It's his sole entertainment in life, his "mental support". Sure, he has family and friends but they are his emotional support. As for his physical needs? Well, he's in denial. He believes that he just hasn't met the "right one". Truth of the matter is he is just not outgoing enough. Never taking the initiative for the multiple opportunities that presented itself.

But enough about the type of person he is. Let's take a look at what he is doing.

7:45pm - Cole's Home -

"Finally home"

"I finally got home. Man it just suddenly rained on the way home. Damn weatherman said it's supposed to be clear tonight. Let go and see what I can make for dinner before my RE marathon."

"Wait.. Shit, I forgot I'm supposed to go shopping for some food. My fridge is empty. Well it's still kind of early so the convenience store is still open. Let's make a quick trip to get dinner and tomorrow I can shop for groceries."

As Cole makes his way to the store around the corner from his apartment he comes across a beautiful blonde goddess. Cole slows down because even though he's a virgin, it doesn't mean he gay. He still like checking out women.

"Woah! Now that's a perfect woman."

As he stares at the blonde crossing the street he sees a vehicle in the corner of his view and realizes it's not stopping for the blonde woman.

"LOOK OUT!" he scream, as he runs with all his might to push her out of the way.

The truck rams into Cole and he gets knocked away from the force. As he lands on ground some 50 feet away, his vision becomes blurred as he tries to get his bearing.

As he tries, he notices that he can't feel a damn thing. Now he vision starts to become darker as he feel his life slipping away.

Sometime later, Cole opens his eyes albeit slowly because of brightness. When he finally adjusted his eyes to the light he realizes he is in a open white space.

He looks around for a bit but sees nothing but white.

"Looking for something?" an unknown voice sounds behind Cole.

"Ahh!" exclaims Cole as he turn around in a fright.

He figuratively shits his pants as he turns around he sees the figure who he heard. It's the woman he 'saved' or so he though.

"Where is this? Did we die and come to heaven? If it is, I guess I failed in saving you. Sorry." Said Cole.

"Fufu~ No this isn't heaven. And no you didn't fail, but you did die because of your heroics."

"So if I'm dead why are you here?

"Why can't I be here? I'm the one who created this space."

"Wait. You created this? But how? And why am I here?"

"To answer on how, I'll just simplify it by saying that I'm a goddess. My name is Minerva. No, I have no relation to any goddess Minerva that you know. And on why your here? Well it's to give you an opportunity in this 'station'. Think of this place like "Central Station" on your world."

"Your a real goddess? Well that explains why your so beautiful. And this is a train station?"

"Thanks for the compliment. While it doesn't actually use trains you can from here, go to other universes."

"Other universes? Like parallel universes?"

"Specifically they are universes based on fictional works from your universe. The human imagination is a powerful thing."

"By fictional work you mean like..."

"Animes, manga, webnovels, video games, and movies, etcetera"

"That's amazing and so AWESOME! So does mean you are giving me a choice to choose a universe I want to be reborn or reincarnate in?"

"While it's true that you will be choosing a universe, you will not be living permanently in one universe. Instead you can think of this as an immersive video game. Kind of like the webnovel "Terror Infinity", which this 'station is based off of, where you will be going to different universes to complete one or more quests."

"Wait.. Terror Infinity!? So this is a death game?"

"Yes and no. While you can die in these universes, if you reach a certain point, you can go back to your original universe to a point just before you saved me to live out you life or you could choose to live a different universe."

"So I win I live, and if I lose I die?"

"Yes, though it's not a true death. Your soul just enters reincarnation without any memories like it supposed to when you first died."

"Well I technically died already so I accept."

"GREAT! Well let's properly introduce ourselves. I'm Minerva. Welcome to my game."

"I'm Cole Ryusei. Thanks for having me."
