12 Nightwalker

"The first round of the tournament is finished, I must say that it was a lot faster than I thought," spoke a voice that sounded like a secretary.

The woman stood next to a wooden desk, piles of paper were stacked and there was a small lamp. Her hair was in a small tie but it couldn't be hung in one place, her golden locks were reflective of the deep autumn sun. Her clothing was simple, a light gray that showed off her curve down to her waist and her chest and a dark black skirt that hung to her knees, tightly clinging to her thigh. She was holding a tablet but it was projecting the screen instead of it taking up the whole space. There sat Professor Vic, replaying a certain scene from the first round, she couldn't help but wonder how so many students just fell. Like flies to a trap, a very silent and dangerous trap.

"Professor, it's the end of the first round. What should we do with the twenty that have gone to the next round?" The secretary reminded Professor Vic. Her voice sounded harmonistic and concern, something that she shouldn't be.

"Give them a day to rest before we have a round-robin style, whoever wins five consecutive matches will advance to the next round," Professor Vic pause the playback as she leaned heavily back on her chair.

She let out an annoyed sigh as she still couldn't figure out what caused almost forty contenders to be wiped out, she could only give up for now.

"Are you tired, darling?" the secretary asked.

"You have no idea Leviathan, I can't figure out..." Professor Vic's sudden thought of something. "Get me every information of the twenty that gone to the next round."

"Yes," the secretary named Leviathan immediately went back to her tablet as she started tapping and scrolling through the list of students that got accepted this year.

"Zane Hawthorne, Aaron Hawthorne, Shen Ye, Ling Tao, Zilla Levy, Nina, Neo, Celestia Night Walker, Ying..."

"A Nightwalker?!" Professor Vic interrupted Leviathan's sentence.

"Yes, apparently there are two Nightwalkers that are currently attending," Leviathan assured Professor Vic's words. "Would you like me to find them?"

Leviathan expected Professor Vic to say yes, however, she didn't. She just shook her head as she leaned back against her chair even more.

"I'll find them myself," Professor Vic said. "Get yourself ready Levy, we're gonna have a little treat tonight."

Celestia arrived back at the main building as she was accompanied by her lovely sister. That is if she doesn't shut her mouth.

"Sis, serious question," Luna's tone was serious and almost alarming. "How did you know how to use Suffering Raze of Illusion?"

"Luna, if you ask another fucking question. I might just kill myself," Celestia was at the point of jumping off a cliff for the amount of noise she already consumed.

"Celestia, I'm being serious," Luna said, stepping in front of Celestia.

Celestia was surprised to be confronted by her sister as she really didn't know why Luna was so interested in how she learned Suffering Raze of Illusion. She could only sigh as she looked deeply into Luna's deep bright red eyes.

"I saw her doing it a couple of times, however, she was more flexible in the way she used it," Celestia explained.

Luna squinted as she didn't believe Celestia's words, she knew that there had to be years for someone like her to be able to use such a technique, even more, to be able to change the laws of it.

"I'm being honest, Luna..."

"Nightwalker."
