23 Part Twenty-Three

We finally got to the bridal botique after nearly an hour in the car. They better be getting me coffee after this. We got out the car and one inside.

We checked in with our appointment and we were right on time. We sat in the hall waiting for someone to come to us. A man came up to us and introduced himself as Charlie Mason. He seemed really nice and he asked for our names.

"HI my name is Nikky and this is my mom Johann, this is my fiance's mom Danielle, my two bridesmaids Tiffany and Alexis, and my maid of honor Anaisa". "Ah Well if you will follow me we can get started" he said.

We followed Charlie to a parlour and he takes me to a dressing room. We sat down and he asked me how me and Devon met. "Um Devon and I met when we were babies. We were neighbors and our parents knew each other so we were one of those people who were forced into friendship,but it didn't matter because eventually we were best friends.We went to school together and graduated from high school and college together with our two other friends" I replied.

"How did you guys become a couple?" He asked. "Well one day Devon, Anaisa,my friend Brendan and I were just hanging out at the mall and I ran to my ex and there was a huge argument between us and I just wanted to get away. I drove to a cliff and I accidently lost my footing and fell into the water and Devon ended up saving me. He took me home stayed with me for a couple of days and I felt better."

"Then a couple of weeks later, during first period when we got back to school I got a text from him that said don't hate me after I do this and he walked up to me and kissed me. He explained that his ex was in the class and he said I was his girlfriend so we agreed to a fake relationship. We were in a fake relationship throughout some of the football season and later on, it turned into something real and well here we are" I replied.

"That was beautiful" he said and then continued "now where will the wedding be at" he asked. "The wedding will be Devon's family's beautiful farm in the country" I said. "And how much are we spending on the dress today" he asked and I replied "under 1000". "Awesome now I will go find you some dresses and you get changed" he said and I said "okay".

Charlie left the room and I got undressed and wrapped myself in a robe and waited. A woman came in with some dresses and introduced herself. "HI Nikky, my name is Ashley and I will be assisting Charlie by helping you into your dresses" she said. "How awesome, now shall we get started?" I asked. "Let's get started" she said.

She took the dresses off the rack and helped me into the dresses. They looked nice,but they weren't THE one so I didn't show it to anyone. Then she gave me a dress that was amazing. It was a satin strapless A-line white wedding dress and it was beautiful. I put on my heels to see how it looked. I looked at myself in the mirror and I didn't look that bad. i really liked it.

Then I received a text on my phone. I looked at my phone and the message was from Devon. It said "the boys wanted to see you so they are waiting in the bridal shop to see you try on the dresses". I had a the biggest smile on my face. "Shall we go show everyone" Ashley asked and I said "yeah let's go".

Ashley helped with the back of the dress and we walked out of the room and walked to the parlour. I saw the guys standing in their own little group and the rest of everybody was on the couch waiting. I walked into the parlour and the boys were the first to see me and waved down the girls to look.

I stood in front of the mirror and everybody just stared. "What do you guys think" I asked and they were still aww mode. "GUYS!!" I yelled and they snapped out of it. "What was the question" everybody asked. I giggled a little and turned to them and said "what do you think?". Brendan didn't say a word and just stood up and walked away.

My expression immediately changed to a little sadness. "Is it that bad" I asked and everybody shook their head rapidly and then all the boys said in unison "you look beautiful" as they were tearing up a little.

Then mom and Devon's mom started crying and my mom said "I can't believe my girl is a woman". I began to cry and then Charlie and Ashley asked "Nikky is this your dress?" And I replied "yes". I was so happy. David then said "your not our little football player no more" and all the guys agreed. "I will always be your little football player guys" I said and I went and hugged all of them.

As this was all happening Brendan was outside video calling Devon. "Hey Devon" he said. "Hey Brendan what's up" he said. "I just saw Nikky in her wedding dress and I don't even know what to say" he answered. "Did she look beautiful?" He asked.

"She looked more beautiful than you can even imagine, It was to the point I was about to cry just seeing her walk in" he said. "She looked that good" he said. "She looked so happy dude I couldn't even speak. You are one lucky man, well I better go back inside I'll talk to you later" he said and hung up. Brendan waited in the car as we were walking out of the shop. We all left and Isa dropped me off at home.
