1 Part One

It was an early morning and I woke up to the sun shinning in my face. I said "ugh once again another day of school. Why can't school be over already".

I got out of bed, took a shower and got dressed. I hopped into my 1967 Chevy Impala and went to mcdonalds. I got myself a caramel frappe and a breakfast sandwich. I ate my breakfast sandwich and drank some of my frappe when I then realized the time.

I threw out my garbage, went back to my car and drove to school. I got out of the car and grabbed my stuff and my frappe. I went into the school and went to my class which was gym. I went into the locker room,finished my frappe and got changed in to my gym clothes. I got out of the locker room and Ms.Jackson,my gym teacher, said that we will be playing flag football with the guys.

"Oh great" I said to my friend Anaisa. "We are going to be playing flag football with most of the football team" and she replies "yea,but we can still kick their butts" and then we did our best friends hand shake.

When we entered the gym, the guys were already there and they were all staring at me. Let's just say I'm the bad girl of the school,but also the nerdiest. They treated me like I was a peace of ass.

All of them except two people. One of them was my best friend Brendan and the other one was a guy named Devon Heart. He's concidered the bad boy of the school,but really isn't a bad boy,only when he needs to, and also the football captain and all the girls are always over him except me.

My mom knows his mom very well and he is also my next door neighbors so I was forced to hang out with him most of the time, but we eventually became good friends.

Anyways as we were walking pass them, one of the football players named Kevin was following me trying to grab my butt, but before he could I turned around fast, grabbed his hand and twisted it. I looked into his eyes and said "don't you ever try that again or else I'll make sure you lose this hand and never play football again. You hear?" and he nodded quickly as he was in pain and I let go.

Brendan came up next to me and gave me a high five and said "nice work Nikky" and I said "thank you" as we walked to the bleachers.

Ms. Jackson and Mr.Daley, boys gym teacher and football coach, started to talk to the class. "Okay class today we will be doing flag football and originally we were going to do boys vs girls but instead we decided to trade two girls with two boys and we have already chosen the teams. The girls that will be going to the boys team will be Nikky and Anaisa and they will be switching with Kevin and Jorge".

We both walked over to the boys side and Kevin and Jorge walked to the girls side. We were ready to play.

We went onto our sides and huddled up. Devon started telling everybody what to do except for me and Anaisa, then they looked at us and asked "Devon, what are we gonna do with them?" and he said "they will just go far and watch us play".

Then they broke off and I said "hold up what now" as Anaisa was trying to hold me back and took me to the far end of the field.

We literally stood their for nearly half the period. Then we huddled up again and Devon said "guys we are down by two we need to get our head in the game" and I said "maybe if you pass us the damn ball we wouldn't be in the situation" and he said "not now Nikky" and completely ignored me and started to talk to Brendan and then we broke off.

I went to Brendan and said "you pass us the ball and we could get you those points" and he said "I know.I got you, get a little bit closer and I'll throw it to one of you" and we said "ok" and we did as we were told.

Everybody was close to the other end zone and we were half way in the gym waiting. Then the other team started. Devon caught the ball from the other team and he threw the ball to Brendan and he was surrounded, but then he threw the ball to me.

The other team started to run to me and I ran towards them then quickly tossed it to Anaisa and I dodged everybody. Then she threw it in the air.

I caught it as I was in mid air,from jumping over one of the other teams players, and landed at the end zone. We made a touchdown. I threw the ball to the ground and Anaisa and Brendan ran to me and we all said "that's how it's done son" and gave eachother high fives. The rest of the football team and Mr.Daley stared at us in a wow moment.

Then Ms.Jackson blew her whistle and ordered the girls to get changed. Anaisa and I walked to the locker room and changed back into our clothes.

When we got changed the bell rang and we had to go to class. Anaisa and I separated and I walked to my study hall.

I waved hi to Mr.Rice, which is my band teacher as well, and sat down where I always sat which was in the back corner and I popped in my headphones and looked at my band music.

Then Devon and most of the football team walked in and sat down and just stared at me. Including Devon who sat next to me.

I looked at them and said "what are you looking at?" with some attitude and Devon then said "when did you start doing football?" And I said"dude we have been playing football together since we were 4. Remember? So don't act surprised" and as he was about to say something the phone rang.

Mr.Rice answered the phone and then hung up. "Nikky and for the people who are in football, Mr.Daley would like to speak with you in his office" Mr.Rice said. I was confused of what was going on. I gathered my stuff and walked out with the football players and went to Mr.Daley's office.

As we entered, I see Anaisa, Brendan and a couple of other football players. I went to Anaisa and Brendan and asked "do you know what's going on?"and they shrugged their shoulders.

Then Mr.Daley started to talk."Okay people the reason I called you down is to tell you guys something and also ask these girls something.I have already made up my mind about this so don't get upset" then he turned to me and continued "I wanted to ask you girls a very important question. Would you girls like to join the football team?" and we both said "What!!?" then the football team said What!!?".

"You want us to join your team" I said and he nodded and I looked at Anaisa and she shrugged. "I think we need some time to think about this" I said.

Then Jorge says "coach are you serious you want girls on the team. They are puny and other teams won't take us seriously. I mean come on no offense, but it's a horrible idea".

I had an angry face and I looked at Anaisa, who was also kind of angry, and she nodded and I looked at coach and said "you know what we'll do it." Then I looked at Jorge and continued "and if you have a problem with us being on the team then I suggest you quit right now".
