14 First Demon Hunt: Luring The Anomaly/Assailant (3)

Eleanor was actually on the other side of the door waiting patiently. When the young female hunter walked out the bedroom, she was stunned by the young one's new appearance.

"Oh my!" Eleanor exclaimed shockingly. "Young Miss that dress fits you perfectly. I was a bit worry honestly, but you're actually a lot curvier than some of our young ladies."

Artemis blushed a little. "I have been told that. When I'm in my hunter gear, I usually wrap my chest down tightly, so that I don't get stare at by the guys in my village."

"Why? Do you not like your body or do you not like the attention?" Eleanor asked a bit puzzled by the young girl's words.

"The attention. I don't like being the center of attention. I have a feminine body, but a masculine way of thinking. My looks attract men and, yet they seem to be turn off by my strong personality," she said honestly.

She did not like that type of attention. Even some of her fellow hunters would get scolded by the elder hunters (overprotective uncles) and her overprotective brother, every time they stared at her instead of focusing on the training regime.

With her short explanation Eleanor was able to gasped her intention, so she respond in agreement, "I see. Most men do like a pretty and delicate type of lady." The young woman was now making a weird expression. She was conflicted on whether she should ask the question that she been holding in since she saw Artemis.

Of course, Artemis noticed her change in expression and asked politely, "Mrs. Eleanor is there something the matter?"

Eleanor sighed, then looked the young lady with concern. "Well...it's just that based on my observation your personality seems too calm to pass as a delicate village girl. Are you sure you'll be able to manage? I'm a bit nervous about your plan to swap places with one of our village ladies. I feel uneasy using you as a scapegoat just to identify our enemy."

Artemis look at the women before her and felt a warm feeling surging within her. This woman had a personality just like her mother. Mrs. Eleanor clearly has a loving heart as she cared so much about the safe of a complete stranger.

The young female hunter's face displays a heavenly smile, while listening to what the older woman said. "Thank you for caring about my safety. I really appreciate your honest opinion. I suggested the swap idea, because I'll be able to handle the situation better than any of the females within your village. Honestly it will not be too hard for me to act my part. I have complete confident in my abilities."

"Alright. Due be careful though my dear," Eleanor said with a smile as she grabbed the young girl hands.

Artemis nodded her head in response.

After their short conversation the two women returned back to the meeting room, where all the men were still waiting. Upon returning, Bruce felt as if his whole body was paralyzed, when he saw the young Miss's appearance. He has not seen the young Miss wearing a dress in such a long time. For a minute he just sat there staring at her, as if he was looking at a stranger. Her beauty shined more brightly adorned in the dress. Upon second thought, he had an urged to tell her to switch back into her hunter attire. No man was worthy enough to see this appearance of the young Miss. Though, with get efforts, he remained silent and prioritize the mission over his personal feelings.

"Young Miss, you look beautiful and our village stone looks lovely around your neck. Don't you think Sir?" the villager elder cheerfully exclaimed, then he turned his attention towards older hunter.

The older hunter nodded in agreement as he looked at the young lady with a soft expression. "Yes. Our young Miss is a rare beauty indeed. I'm sure she'll be able to successfully lure in our assailant."

Eleanor released a soft chuckle, while Artemis was trying to avoid direct eye contact with everyone. A compliment of any kind was a pleasure to hear, but in these types of situations, she found it difficult responding to the compliments from the opposite sex. Such praises would always render her speechless.

The heroic father, Nate noticed the young female hunter was a little embarrassed from the others' comment and felt that he should intercede. "Now that Miss Artemis is dressed, we should head out then," he suggested in a calm, yet swift manner.

"Elder Wade…. we will do our best to discover who is behind these abductions. Try to get plenty of rest. Even though you have killed one of their own, I'm sure they will return sooner or later," explained the older hunter before he stood up from his seated position.

"Alright, Sir. I'll put my full truth in you and the young Miss," the village elder said solemnly.

Once the older hunter was finished talking, the heroic father stood up and bowed towards the village elder, than precede to leave the meeting room. The two hunters bowed as well as a sign of respect, and then followed behind Nate.

After they were outside the home of the village elder, the trio headed straight to the lumberjack's home. The lumberjack's home was a ten minute walk from the village elder's cabin, which gave Bruce a chance to converse a little bit with the only person that had seen the mysterious anomaly up close.

While the two older men were immersed in a conversation, Artemis was walking on the left side of the older hunter observing the scenery of the village. It was the mid of spring and many of the trees were in full bloom. The surrounding trees were completely cover in pinkish flowers, that she had never seen before. A cluster of them together made such a beautiful sight.

She immediately thought of her mother Trinity, wishing that her mother could see this breathtaking view as well. Second later she expelled a heavy sigh, while thinking of her mother. Even though she missed her mother's presence, she must stay focus on her current mission. She was determined to help not only the villagers, but as well as the demon hunters. With every mission, she could help others like how the hunters had save her. She could also repay the hunters' kindness, by lessening the numbers of uncompleted missions.

After a bit of thinking and taking in the scenery, a small cabin finally came into her line of sight. As the party of three walked closer a young woman, in a knee length blue dress, appeared to be standing in front of the cabin. The young woman had a creamy white complexion, and, although her roots were a light brown, the rest of her hair was blonde with waves that reached down to her hips.

The old villager immediate recognized the young female and walked up to the wooden gate to converse with the young lady. "Libbey, good afternoon! Where can we find your father?" he asked politely.

At that moment, the young lady was actually busy watering some of the flowers in her garden, when she heard a familiar voice calling out to her. She turned around with a cheerful smile on her face.

With her body facing forward, the trio was now able to see her bright green eyes and beautiful freckles, which visually completed her lovely appearance.

"Good evening Mr. Nate. My father is behind the house I believe. Would you like for me to inform him of your arrival?" the young lady inquired softly.

Nate nodded his head slightly in agreement. "Yes, that would be great. I actually would like to discuss something with you and your father," the old villager informed patiently.

"Okay…. Give me a minute," the young lady said before sitting her watering pail on the ground. She turned to head to the back of her house, but then quickly turned back to face the old villager. "You know what…...Why don't you follow me to the back of the house. It would be easier that way," the young lady suggested with a bright smile.

"Alright. I hope you don't mind if these two tag along. They are guests invited by the village elder," responded Nate as he pointed to the two people, whom were currently standing behind him.

"That's fine. Any guest of the village elder is without a doubt welcome. Please follow me," the young lady gestured with a smiled.

The trio followed suit behind the young lady to the back of her lovely home. Behind the little cabin was a pile of cut wood almost as tall as the average person. The father in question, however, was nowhere to be find, which was what the young lady expected.

After noticing her father was nowhere in sight, the young lady continued walking further behind the cabin and into the woods. After a few steps away from the little cabin, a man finally came into their line of sight.
