Chi Weiran had awakened in the middle of the night only to find that his older brother was not soundly asleep on the second bed beside him. Frantically getting out of bed, he adorned his usual training robes quickly and made his way out of the room.

He desperately searched the hallways and different sections of the disciples' quarters hall, however his efforts were in vain. Deciding that his older brother must have ventured outside, he began to scour the areas around the disciple hall.

Eventually, he stumbled across the stone bridge connecting most of the halls. Catching his breath for a moment with his hands perched on his knees, he was surprised to find Chi Cheng.
