7 07. Quests.
This was when Sue, Zach's Aunt, was sought after. Rumors about how adept she was at healing people with similar disease had spread across several cities and the moment Mr Wellington heard about her, he didn't waste a second in contacting her.
In the end, Sue cured the baroness and Mr Wellington rewarded her with the mansion after he did some background check on her.
He heard about the rumours of Sue raising eight children on her own in a small decrepit building.
He also found out that she was born to one of the influential families in the Central continent who were known for their aptitude in healing magic, but due to some unexpected turn of events, she was kicked out of the family.
However, this was a story for another time.
Pushing those thoughts aside, Zach decided to take a seat on his bed as he pondered about a few things.
The system noticed that Zach was deep in thought so she asked.
[Anything on your mind?]
"Yeah."
"I'm trying to make a list of the things that need changing."
[Is improving your relationship with the girls among them?]
"Yeah, but I want to take it slow."
[I agree. That should be a lot better and easier to do than having to try and please everyone at once.]
"True."
"Then it is decided. I'll focus on improving Aurora and Luna's favourable impression of me before anyone else's."

"You're right. Although I might have a basic knowledge of this world, I must try to understand the diverse history and culture of the different races in this world."

Zach nodded in understanding and added. "I'm also interested in building my own strength and making a bunch of portraits as well."

Zach remained silent for a while as he recounted all he had to do in his mind.

Reading through the list of quests he had to complete, Zach's weak body trembled and his butt landed on the ground.
"Ten quests?" Zach's eyes widened in disbelief.
"A time limit of five days?"
"Are you trying to kill me?!"

"How am I supposed to finish ten quests within five days?"

Listening to the system's words, Zach calmed down a bit. He knew the system was right and it wouldn't hurt to work hard and give it his all.
After all, a life without risks was not worth living at all.
"There's no use crying over spilt milk," Zach reminded himself as he stood up from the floor. He knew every second he spent in his room mattered and there was no point in lamenting over the system's quests.
After all, it was only trying to help him protect those he cared about.
Zach skimmed through the number of quests in front of him to pick out the one that needed immediate attention.
"I'll start with this one," Zach made up his mind.
Of all the quests listed before him, Zach knew that finding out more about the world was of the utmost importance than the others.
Just because he read the novel, it didn't mean that he knew a lot about the world, so to ensure that he had a general knowledge of the world, Zach decided to study it first.
