"It's not a missile. No need to be scared of it." Alex tucked the card inside his trembling grip and aimed a small chuckle at him. "It's a Zedd credit card, with a spending limit up to 50,000 dollars. I am taking your bicycle in exchange for this card." 

"Wh-What?" He freaked out with his exclamation and rolled his eyes wider in awe, almost choking on his breath. "5-50 thousand dollars?"

"Yes. I guess it should be enough to take care of your mother's medical expenses till you get stabilized in your new job. If not, then Mr. Myung will help you further in the future. Keep the brooch safe with you." His voice resonated very amicably.

That guy appeared completely motionless for a few minutes, gawking at Alex as if he was a spiritual creature! Standing all numb, holding those two cards and the metal brooch, he seemed immensely troubled.

"Hey...mister, are you a conman?" He murmured.
