Gone Far Away

"You aren't bad. My child isn't evil. My child isn't bad." A woman was seen running very fast with a basket in her hand. She was looking back, afraid that her chasers might catch up with her.

"You are my child, you are not evil," She kept chanting with her eyes never leaving the basket. Her legs were stuck with thorns and figs, however, she didn't seem to care. Her entire attention was on the basket and how to get it to safety.

As soon as she was sure that she has left her chasers far behind, she stopped running and opened the basket. She brought out a very beautiful baby.

"How can you be bad?" Ariel looked at the beautiful child in her arms and a tear escaped her eyes. "How can you be evil?" She cried.

"You're my gift from the moon goddess, how can you bring chaos?"

She held the child close and rained kisses on her. "I will take you to safety, my child. I won't let them find you. No harm will come to you as long as I'm alive."

Ariel kissed the baby's forehead and placed her back in the basket. They were by the seaside. She sauntered towards the side where the tide was low and she placed the basket there.

"Luna, will she be okay?" Ariel's maid servant asked, making Ariel cry.

"I hope so. I just hope my baby stays alive. So that I can find her someday."

Suddenly an idea struck Ariel and she pulled the servant aside. "Juliet, please stay with my child."

"Huh?" Juliet was perplexed. She didn't understand what the Luna was trying to say.

"I want you to stay with her and watch over her. Protect her secretly and be with her."

"What?Juliet asked, wide eyed. "I have nothing of my own, how do I raise a child?"

"I'm not asking you to raise her as your child, Juliet. All I'm saying is that you stay hidden and protect her from the shadows. You will follow her everywhere and find a way to be with her."

"But I am supposed to only serve you, Luna?"

"If you do this, you will be serving me." Ariel affirmed.

Juliet lifted her head to meet Ariel's gaze. "How do you mean, Luna?"

"You will serve my child just like you will serve me."

"But..." Juliet was about to say something.

"Listen to me Juliet, You won't have to yourself or blow your cover. You will just stay hidden and watch whoever picks her up. Then you will follow her and find a way to be with he, to take care of her."

"Oh dear Luna, How can I do this? How can I leave you?" Juliet was at the brink of tears. All her life had been at the blood moon pack, and now she has to leave.

"You will do this, Juliet, it's an order. You will protect my child." Ariel acclaimed.

"As you wish, Luna," Juliet knelt to her mistress.

Ariel pulled her up and joined her palm. "Please Juliet, help me save her. I will never forget your help and maybe someday, I'll repay you."

"I will do as you ask, dear Luna. You don't have to repay me," Juliet bowed.

"Thank you, Juliet" Ariel hugged her appreciatively. "I will forever remember this favor."

After giving a farewell kiss to her child, Ariel ran back, making sure to take a different route, so as to lure her chasers away from the seaside and Juliet.

She ran really fast and soon arrived at the border of the Blood moon pack. She crossed the border and suddenly felt dizzy. Her feet couldn't go any further, she tried to move, but it felt as if her had been glued to the ground. She could neither move her feet or her body. Every effort she made to get up proved abortive. So, she decided to lay there until she gathers enough strength to continue.

However, she suddenly started hearing the voices of her chasers. They were getting close. She made no attempt to move a d just laid there until someone noticed her and the last words she heard was, "There she is!"

Ariel opened her eyes and looked around to find herself back in Lucy's house.

"How did I get here?" She wondered as she looked around. Then, she noticed that Kevin sitting beside her.

"Ariel!" He smiled seeing her away her side since she was brought back to the pack, wounded and unconscious.

Ariel looked away from him and closed her eyes again. She didn't want to see him. She was mad at him.

"I'm sorry Ariel," Kevin apologized.

He took her hands and kissed them but Ariel remained phlegmatic.

"Please, forgive me, Ariel."

Kevin's heart was torn to pieces after giving the order to have his only child killed. He felt as if his soul had left him along with the words.

However, that was a choice he had to made. He is not only a father but also the leader of a pack.

He thought she had left him along with their child when he heard the news of her sudden departure. His was filled with immense joy when she was brought back to him.

"Please don't be mad at me, Ariel" Alpha Kevin begged, but Ariel didn't reply or even look at him.

"Alpha!" A maid rushed in to announce the arrival of the elders, but they barged in before she could announce them to Kevin

"Good day to you, Alpha Kevin and Luna Ariel." The elders greeted.

"To what do I owe this rudeness yiu have displayed? How dare you barge in on me!" Kevin ignored their greetings and yelled.

The elders bowed their heads in shame. They couldn't dare to raise their heads, Especially as they could hear the venom in the Alpha's tone.

"Why have you come here?!" Kevin barked.

The elders remained quiet and couldn't bring themselves to say what they wanted to. They looked at each other for sometime before one of the elders gathered enough courage to speak up.

"We are here to ask the Luna where she hid the abominable child?

Ariel clenched her fist under the sheets and slowly opened her eyes.

"What do you want from my child?"

The elders became surprised seeing the Aura around the Luna. She has suddenly transformed from being meek and sweet to being brash and brazen.

Ariel sat up and shot them a fierce look.

"She has gone, far away from you all. Isn't that what you wanted?"

"But Luna, we were supposed to...." The first elder spoke, only to be cut short by Ariel.

"What? Are you so excited to kill my child? She suddenly let out a mocking laughter. "Well, too bad you won't find her because I took her far away from you all. I took her to a place you will never find her!
