14 Untangled Knots

Viscosity seems to form in the air around her.

It's suddenly impossible to breathe because, for whatever reasons, she feared this moment.

But, now it was here and she has to untangle the knots that were tied long ago.

She has to give him her sincere thoughts.

She loved him but a whole lifetime with him terrified her. What girl not fear such a dilemma, a fear that stems and augment due to society and further distress her into what-ifs.

What if he doesn't accept your kids after the wedding? What if this impacts your kids in any way?

"Please. Jin-Ae tells me, about when you're ready to talk about this. I've waited for five years. I've missed you, craved you, cried for you, and dreamt of us together." Taehyung took his heart out in hopes of an answer. An answer that concludes the whole life of an unordinary fairy tale.

Jin-Ae glazed at him with blank spaces, sonnets and romantic haikus that were trapped in her chest fighting to be discovered and bombard the vocals anytime soon.

He squeezes his hands together between Jin-Ae's and glares at her with so much love and morality.

Some moments, where we aspire them to stay, pause because we never want to let go of them, but moments like these are the heart stem of our lives, they just pass away like that, without us having a desire for them to pause. But then, when we look back, these are the ones that matter the most.

Jin-Ae's heart twisted with every beat as she gazed at him with pain and love in her eyes.

She felt like she wouldn't be able to breathe if she didn't look into his eyes.

Jin-Ae quickly peeked at him and then looked away.

His eyes were now, lanced into her soul, exploring every wound and bruise she hid from him.

His words filled her insides with grief, anguish, and guilt. He has loved her with all his heart, made sure she was okay when she had no one beside her in this world.

He phoned her every night, send people to check on her, and help her with the stuff when she was pregnant.

Even though it's not his job. Regardless, he expressed his willingness to accept them, he showed devotion, care and sincerity to them and kept setting an illustration for them as to what it's like to have a Dad.

Suddenly, a big uproar from a ride, bought them back to the certainty, to the moment which they both loitered greatly.

Jin-Ae took a deep breath, huddled her courage and then, cupped his face with her cold, delicate hands.

She looked into his dark brown, glossy eyes.

"Tae, you know, it's been a long time now and I finally gathered up my fragile pieces so then, I can come and visit my Dad." He nodded knowing that the remorse in her heart had never been appeased.

She hadn't come back for five years. She was too vulnerable.

He kept looking into her eyes, so she clenched his hand with a tighter grip ensuring him that she was about to answer him, what he seeks to hear.

His heart thudded as if it would spurt anytime.

"About us, here are our promise rings right? The promise rings are a heartfelt and lovely symbol of lasting love and commitment. So we are supposed to get married someday right? and we will." Jin-Ae smiled at him and smooched his tears on the cheeks.

"But I don't want to whisk this. I know we are together for a long time now but I want Joonie and Min-ah to accept you. I can't bear the pain if this impacts them in any way. Are you getting me Tae?"

Taehyung gave her an assuring look. She was so alleviated that he's okay with it and understands her.

"I know, it must be very overwhelming, suffering alone, not being able to do anything and acting like you're okay.", Jin-Ae took a deep gust as she almost choked on her breath.

"I know it must be very hard. Still, know that I see you Taehyung I see you! I admire and appreciate you for.. for what you're, for the man inside you, for the crybaby that squeaks at night on his pillows. I admire you for what you were and what you are right now! It'll end soon."

Taehyung had no words to concede her, he let his guard down and wept as he continued to caress Jin-Ae's cheeks.

"This... this feels like a dream come true. I don't want to stop looking at you, I want to hear your deep husky voice all the time. My feelings are now stronger and fuller for you. It's way too much for me. You make me think that I might throw up anytime now"

Taehyung startled as his eyeballs started shaking.

He gulped down the lump in his throat with questions in his eyes.

"I'm joking idiot! I'm not PREGNANT. Not again. Oh My God." Jin-Ae wailed as she took a subtle sigh and punched him on his warm, athletic bicep cutely.

They both were grinning gazing at each other, eyes glinting like never before.

Jin-Ae missed it, as she thought, she hasn't seen Taehyung smile this big. From a long time.

Jin-Ae was so emerged in adoring him and his gorgeousness when some thought clicked her.

Jin-Ae wanted to discuss something as it was crucial but then, she shrugged it off.

She wanted to celebrate this moment and didn't want to make Taehyung sad.

She zoned out staring at him when she was dragged back to reality by a loud howl. Taehyung ran while she rushed behind him.

Min-ah was on a ride and she was calling Jin-Ae so she could wave her mom and eventually, her mom would wave her back.

Taehyung and Jin-Ae both cackled so hard at this.

They both almost end up crying happy tears as they were cracking up at how scared they both got and ran like a frightened cat.

She missed him.

Again.

She got lost in her thoughts glaring at him and admiring his giggly side. In a world with a few doubts but a lot of dreams.

Taehyung noticed, paddled slowly towards her, pulled her near, more than needed as the waft got smashed between them.

Jin-Ae got dazed, she then looked up, with her wide-opened hazel eyes, lightly plumed lips as her red blushed cheeks became vibrant.

He presses a kiss against her head tugging her back into verity. This flattered her. "You are my everything, Jin-Ae.

My everything."

The passion and profoundness in his voice trickled through her.

She loved this moment. She coveted this moment to last long.

She looked into his eyes and saw a whole universe, a heaven full of happiness and a happily ever after.

"Tae, Mummy, we're hungry!" Min-ah and Joonie said together. She hurriedly pushed back Taehyung and smiled at the kids shyly.

Taehyung chuckled, high fived the kids and picked them up concealing the awkwardness in the air.

But then, he looked back, grinned mischievously and winked at Jin-Ae.

"What are you up to?" Jin-Ae ran behind them and slopped his back playfully.

He chuckled and said, "Why don't you see it on your own?"

Melody, romantic stares, weird body contacts, usual chirping, giggles and nonchalant unobvious questions.

The car stopped. The moon sauntered out of its gloomy grey curtains confirming the arrival, telling his friend to cheer up and applaud as loud as she could bringing up all the cold, youthful breeze to them so that it could sting their faces retrieving back all the memories.

Taehyung got out and opened the gate for Jin-Ae and the babies.

They both began cackling and hopping up and down dancing around with joy.

While Jin-Ae was surprised, pleased, and sad. All of these emotions, at the same time.

It was Daecheon Beach. The beach where it all started. Jin-Ae and Taehyung, the queasiness and the pregnancy vibes. Taehyung kept staring at her with confusion as she didn't move a bit.

Taehyung then bent, came closer to her and stroked her head as he settled her curtain bangs behind her ear to have a clearer look at her beautiful face.

He took her hand in his and gestured her an assuring look.

Taehyung asked the hireling to walk the children to the destination and that they both will be there after a few minutes.

She couldn't distil anything, anything. She wanted to cry, scream out the tears she kept in for a long time now.

She wanted to sob for the moments she missed him, she wanted to weep for the times where she yearned that he was there. She wanted to whimper for the times when she wanted her dad to see her with her baby bump. She wanted to cry for the moments where she saw the babies move in her belly ALONE.

She wanted to wail for all the times where she wished for someone to be there, next to her.

As if Taehyung scanned all her thoughts, he squatted forward and now his forehead rests gently against hers, he caressed her cheeks with his thumb.

She felt warm, the comfort he was emitting.

"Cry! Let it be. It's okay to feel this way. It's okay not to be okay Jin-Ae. I'm here so nobody could see you crying.

I'm here!

They know you're the strongest and you will be but it's okay to let your guard down once in a while."

After all that he said to her.

Jin-Ae cried, sobbed, hid her face, hugged him tightly, hit him, and screamed a little.

Taehyung stood straight, his hands wrapped in her hair that kept convincing her to be herself. Her to be her.

Several minutes passed as she continued to sob.

Other several minutes passed, she calmed down.

She thus looked up. His eyes were vivid that gave her a faded, worried look. His eyes keep meeting hers and then flicking away like it hurts to look at her.

She chuckled a bit. She began to back off a bit but then, he pulled her more closer to him. She could feel his warm breath falling onto her face.

"I love you", he whispers against her mouth. His lips meet hers.

Her lips remember him, Her body was exhausted and fragile from all the crying and emotional breakdown but,

her lips remembered him...
