7 Fickleness

The tranquil, balmy wind made the hectic day a little more alive meshed with an extra of frustration as no one knows why the sun is so indignant.

The clock struck noon, parents were panicking with a wrinkled face and sweaty shirts striving their best to reach on time fulfilling the crazy Monday duties, to pick their infants.

Hot, dazzling sunlight start reflecting through the small glass window with tiny faded colour paper hearts on it, in a room full of clutter.

A peachy smell wavered around the house except that one room which felt vacant, strangled and a lot quiet than before. It was now locked for forever till Jin-Ae dare to look back and embrace the change and the fact that life goes on.

Jin-Ae sat down groaning loud enough to tell that she was weak and frustrated.

Muffin, Bichon Frise a cheerful small white dog woofed at Jin-Ae to get her attention. She grinned at him and peered at the mess she made.

"If Dad looked at this mess, he would have gallop behind me with specula." She took another tired sigh and sided the packed bags to the right side of the bed.

Muffin creaked at her, showing his cute glossy black puppy eyes to tell her that he wants cuddles.

The black round eyes with his fluffy white-coated tail wiggling here and there in excitement made Jin-Ae chuckle as she petted his neck to reassure him that they'll go to sleep soon.

She huddled all the dark empty shiny coffee cups she had while doing work, stupidly thinking of it as a possibility to get drunk, from the side table and went to the kitchen putting away all of them in the sink, whilst Muffin followed her.

She came back to her glamorous yet so philosophical room, which must be an ideology with it's a meaningful notion, theory and a lot of thoughts that swam in her mind, from the time she gained consciousness.

Her room felt so distinct, at the same time it was the most significant part of the house.

Muffled brown sheets with pale white curtains, romantic yet sad poems affixed on a greyish brown wall with caramel black frames. Scratches behind the door that she never tries to fix as a matte green blanket is placed for the Muffin.

A closet, full of murky brown, intense red, navy blues pants, blazers, polo, turtlenecks and baggy sweatshirts. Green plants on her shelves with old and fresh novels, singing complicated facts and cold sentimental pickup lines drenched with life sermons.

Dim lustrous fairy lights on the wall covering a huge crescent white moon painted with metallic chocolate brown and white colour. Some small polaroids glued on the side of the full-size mirror.

Her dad always used to sat down in her room and tried to comprehend her thoughts when she's gone.

Jin-Ae adjusted the well-wisher when her sight caught something. A baby pink shirt hid behind the drawer.

"That's not mine", she thought as she made her eyes small to remember.

She bent down and unravel the shirt as it was tangled with a screw.

"Oh, dad's t-shirt." She recognised it as soon as she saw a SpongeBob on it.

In no time, her eyes became glossy.

"I miss him." She whimpered like a baby with that baby pink shirt that still smelt like her dad, in her hands till she fell asleep.

3 days before the flight,

Jin- Ae and Taehyung were having a movie marathon together at her home.

Popcorns excitedly jumped out as heat poked them with a giggly smile.

"Ahh, it's ready", Jin-Ae bounced up and down as she reached the oven to switch it off.

Muffin was dozing off in her room on his blanket as he felt that he won't be getting her attention anymore.

She hopped again but now to the dining table singing her favourite song, spring day, not to miss anything.

"Dark chocolates, done"

"Ranch pizza, donee"

"Ice coffee, done"

"Cheddar cheese fries, done"

"And oh, the jellies, donee", Jin-Ae shouted out loud that the sleeping eagle on her balcony and Muffin got scared.

"I'm all ready for the movie night, now I just need to change into comfy night suit." she jogged towards her room as she spoke to herself.

Jin-Ae took out pink-brown nightwear with cute teddy bears on it and changed into it.

She looked into the mirror.

The nightwear was explaining her curves very well, she looked sexy but a cute naive girl who's overly thrilled in love but then, unfortunately, she got a short flashback of her in the pearl dress she was wearing, sent her back to the night she relinquished everything.

The happiness skidded off as it'd never existed.

Sadly, the depression showed up again weeks ago.

Minor waves of sadness with no appetite, irregular sleeping patterns with sudden procrastination and no motivation.

Undiagnosed Jin-Ae started to look for the muffin to ease her mind, realising that he's sleeping.

A small, fragile spiral of beep hit her and took her back to reality.

"Taehyung's here," she thought as she saw his car from her secret window.

Her heart whumped loudly as she began to play with her hair ends, twirling it in circles.

She wanted to confess the butterflies, the time she distresses for him, the number of times she peeks at her phone for his text only but she was frightened to lose him.

The toxic idea of guys confessing first was stopping her and what if he said no. She'll renounce someone who she looks up to a lot.

"Hey! What's up?" Taehyung said as he entered the house with some tacos packed in a box.

Taehyung had the keys as she gave him for emergencies and for when she'll left. He proposed that he'll take care of the house, Jin-Ae couldn't help but be happy as she was anxious about her dad's belongings to be ruined or robbed.

Jin-Ae's eyes scanned him from his frizzed hair to his brown shoes with heart eyes.

A 'Woah' left her mouth but thus, she zipped it.

He was looking handsome more like a chestnut as he dressed brown, more casual with a little spice of formal strokes.

His hair and eyes were giving off the shade of dark roasted beans in dim yellowish light, he had a smirky smile on his face while the curvy strands of his hair were all over his forehead.

He looked slim and exhausted, even so, the way his clothes hung on him gave away the muscles beneath a strong and an elegant look; God! He looked so sexy.

Jin-Ae could see Taehyung act cold and arrogant branched out into all his plays but he was a lot different in front of her.

He was more soft laced with a giggly vibe. He was a good listener, has heart of gold, little emotional blended with intelligence, mature emotions and calmness but most of the time, he kept quiet, nevertheless not like the painful shyness, noting everything with a fierce, dusk stare.

He snapped in front of her face as Jin-Ae gulped her breath.

She looked down and then, looked up which was possibly the wrong thing she did at that time.

Her eyes locked with him as if he was waving a gun at her, she couldn't stop gazing into his deep honey eyes.

He blinked several times and cleared his throat to get her attention.

"Ahh, nothing! You bought tacos?" Jin-Ae asked with her brows furrowed as she came out of her in-love daydreams.

"What movies we are watching today?" Taehyung asked Jin-Ae as he cleaned a tear on her face with his delicate, strong thumb.

"Did you cry? Do you still cry? You lied to me?"

He solicited Jin-Ae who acted surprised and fascinated to see tacos, whereas she was hiding her wounds that would never heal, however for as how everyone knows she'll get used to it.

She shook her head in no to let the uncertainty calm down in between them.

Taehyung stared at her for a while, he then deliberately went near the kitchen while tiptoeing to make it as quiet as possible as he can.

He made a phone call.

"Everything's ready?"

"Yeah, I'm here."

"I want everything to be perfect, a single mistake can ruin everything. She has no idea what's coming her way, haha."

He laughed evilly and disconnected the phone call.
