7 Love and redemption 1.

Alicia slowly walks downstairs to meet Damien who was standing beside the cushion chair in the living room.

" I know the reason why you are here Damien but let me tell you that I am never going to go back to that office." Alicia strictly said and gave a deep sigh. " You were not there when Edwin insulted and blasphemed my character.I am sure if you were also there,you would advise me not to speak to Edwin ever again." Alicia added.

" I know you have deeply hurt Alicia and your anger is justified.In Fact i don't even pressure you to come back.I just want to tell you to be strong and not to let Edwins words bother you too much.Always be happy." Damien said with a smile.

Mrs. Jones walked up to Damien and gave him a hug.Alicia and Bethany looked surprised. " Thank you so much for supporting my daughter, young man." She said to him and made him sit on the chair and drink tea.

Alicia sits on the chair across Damien " I don't even know what to say.How do I even begin to thank you for your pure and endless support?``

" You don't have to thank me.You are my friend so why should i not support you? Friends are always meant to help each other right? Damien said while drinking tea.

" I am telling you young man,if you were interested in marrying my daughter then i would have gladly given her to you." She said and laughed. 

" Mom!" Alicia protested.They all laugh heartedly. " He is actually in love with you Alicia.You are really the luckiest girl on earth" Bethany thought to herself.

After a while Damien bids everyone goodbye. Bethany also bids Alicia and Mrs. Jones goodbye and goes outside with Damien.

" Why didn't you tell Alicia you love her? '' Bethany asked Damien outside.

" It is true that I love Alicia a lot but the fact still remains that she doesnt love me back. Love can't be forced Bethany.It has to happen at will.If Alicia is happy then i am happy.That is also a kind of love." Damien said and smiled. " Where is your house let me drop you off? '' he offered.

" No thanks,my house is just 10 steps away from here.Goodnight." Bethany says and leaves while Damien also drives off.

The next morning,Alicia got up early to make breakfast.This surprised Mrs. Jones because Alicia never wakes up early to make breakfast.

" Wow,today must be a very beautiful day.You made breakfast? Are you sure you are okay my dear?" Mrs. Jones asked.

" Of Course i am fine,don't ask too many questions and just sit for breakfast." Alicia said putting two plates of samosas on the dining table.After the table was set,she and her mother began to eat.

" Hmmm.It's really tasty.I thought we would be eating a burnt food this morning." Mrs. Jones teased.

" Mom! Come on, I cook really good food, okay?" Alicia said and continued eating.

" Yes,yes...you really cook good food.And that is why you added four tablespoons of salt to a rice of two people." Mrs. Jones said and burst into laughter.

" That is enough now,you seem to find great joy in annoying me.Let us eat now." Alicia said and they continued to eat.

At the fashion X company,people began to gossip as they noticed Alicia hasn't come to the office for a few day." She must have been fired" A lady said. Some found great joy in Alicia leaving while some don't.

Edwin walks in the office and notices people gossiping and goes to confront them. " So have you all finished your work for today?Don't you think this is a debate organization where you will be asked if you are for or against? This is an office for goodness sake.You all should be ashamed of speaking ill of a fellow employee like you.If i find out anyone is gossiping about Alicia again, then that person will be fired. Understood?" He said and angrily left.

After a while, Damien is shocked to see that Edwin is not in his office. " Where could he have gone now? '' he muttered and went to oversee the fashion runway.

Alicia and mrs. Jones are watching their favourite tv series when they hear someone ringing the doorbell.

" Who could that be? Go and check Alicia." She said and continued watching tv.

Alicia goes to open the door and is shocked by who she finds standing outside.

" Who is Alicia? Who? Mrs. Jones asked but got no reply. She became worried and also went to find out who was there.
