When Gou Feng finally buried Fei Nian's body, it was late in the afternoon. He was in the middle of nowhere, deep in the woods. The wind's whistling and the quiet rustling of fallen leaves echoed in his pointy ears. Due to the hot sunlight, his brow glistened with sweat.

After arriving in the woods, he stripped down to his undershirts before digging a hole large enough for Fei Nian's body. As he held the shovel with his calloused hands, his muscled arms and stomach packed with abs were on display, looking so hot and sexy as fuck.

The wind brushed against the top of his head, causing the strands of his hair to sway slightly. He was now sitting under the tree and resting, his gaze fixed on the spot where Fei Nian was buried. He shook his head and looked down at both of his hands. His face and eyes were blank. His thoughts were incomprehensible.

Before burying Fei Nian, he severed her four limbs and placed them in a black plastic bag. Her head and limbless body were also found in the other bag. Both the Wolf Pact and the Vampire Clan follow the same rules; if one is killed by the other, both clans will do what Gou Feng did to Fei Nian. That means Fei Nian's separated body, wrapped in two plastic bags, is buried deep in the ground.

He stood up and dusted his pants before putting on his upper clothes, which had been lying on a small rock nearby. Before departing, he cast a glance at Fei Nian's grave and bowed slightly, then began walking away with the shovel in his left hand. Fei Nian's body will rot quickly, and maggots will devour her flesh.

Because Gou Feng parked his car on the side of the road, he'd have to walk a little further before reaching the road. The grave he dug grew larger and larger until it vanished. He abruptly came to a halt on his path, his breath heavy as he panted incessantly. He felt as if he was drowning because the air was suffocating him.

When the scene around him went black, he closed his eyes tightly and opened them again. He sighed in relief. Everything was back to normal, but his breathing was still labored. He finally calmed down after a moment; he didn't know why, but his gaze just dropped to the ground. He noticed red ants marching with food on their backs. Gou Feng's eyes became sad as he recalled something. When he was a kid, this was a part of his memory.

Flashback..

"Ge! I saw an ant earlier! They were so strong despite their small size! I adore them so much! I wish I could become strong too, like them, when I grow up like you! " The 7-year old little Gou Feng happily exclaimed. His eyes were shining bright like stars.

He just entered their house, then entered someone's room and ran to his Gege, who was busy doing his homework and started blabbering. Head down and hands busy scribbling on the white sheets of paper. He was surrounded by big and thick books. With his head downwards and the big books around him, Gou Feng couldn't see his face properly.

"A-Feng, did you go into the woods again? Didn't I tell you already that it was dangerous? What if you meet a wild animal or get lost? How should we find you? " Gou Feng's eyes turned sad when he heard his father's gentle yet worried voice.

He stood up and crouching down in front of little Gou Feng. He put both his delicate hands on Gou Feng's shoulders and sadly smiled at him. His Gege's delicate fingers lifted and lightly brushed his chubby cheeks. He didn't even know he was already crying.

"Don't cry. Gege is sorry. It's just that I'm really worried about you. What if you get lost? Mom and Dad are working. Its just you and me. Aunt isn't here. How can I find you alone? " His Gege softly scolded him, making little Gou Feng cry even more.

"Then, can you come with me? " little Gou Feng said and looked up at his gege's face. He wore his cute puppy eyes, making his grandmother smile and nod his head.

"Mn. Okay, I'll go with you after I finish my homework, okay? " Little Gou Feng smiled and nodded his head happily. He walked over to the bed behind his gege with a wide smile on his face and sat down to wait, swaying both of his small legs.

After his Gege finished his homework, as he promised to little Gou Feng, they went to the woods to find ants to follow and sometimes play or run around. They didn't know that would be the last time they'd see each other's wide smiles.

Then time flew past like a lightning and thunderstorm. On August 24, Gou Feng's birthday came. It should have been the most beautiful day for him, but instead, it became the most tragic moment of his life. He lost his mom, he lost his dad. Now there really is him and his Gege.

They were in the car, on their way to their home, when the car behind them bumped into them, making their car crash into the tree. The bumper didn't help and just drove off at the fastest speed. There was nothing they could do.

It was in the middle of the night, and the street was quiet. After they crashed into the tree, he woke up from his sleep and so did his gege. They stared at both of their parents in front of them, only to see the bloody and heartbreaking scene before their eyes.

They were stunned for a moment. It was little Gou Feng who was the first to cry. He was about to go over to his mom, but his grandmother hugged him tightly and tried to stop him. Their parents are dead. Now there is only him and his gege. Little Gou Feng struggled in his gege's arms. He did not even notice that his Gege was already crying silently.

"A-Feng! There is no time! The car will blow up in a minute! Let's go! Please! Let's just go! " His gege keeps shouting and begging him, but it seems like little Gou Feng can't hear anything and continues to struggle in his gege's arms. Finally, his gege managed to drag him outside. After they stepped a little further from the car, the car blew up with a boom, with not even a single bone left. They watched their parents get swallowed by the fire and disappear before their innocent eyes.

"No! M-Mom! Dad! No! no! "little Gou Feng keeps shouting. He attempted to run over the fire. Luckily, his gege caught his hands and stopped him once more.

"A-Feng! Please! A-Feng is gone! Stop it! They won't be coming back! Please! S-stop it.. Please.. " The voice behind him got smaller and lower until he only heard a sniffle.

This time, he didn't struggle anymore and let his gege engulf him in a very tight hug. He felt his shoulder getting wet. That's where he noticed that his brother was crying too. It broke his heart even more. He fell on his knees and so did the person behind him.

After they calmed down, they just sat on the ground side by side. Staring at the flame that is higher than them. Their quiet sniffles, choked sobs, tearstained faces and wet red eyes reflected the scene in front of them. Moments later, his gege told him to wait there and not move. His gege would walk away to look for help, so A-feng listened and just sat there obediently.

But, his gege didn't come back. Gou Feng didn't know what to do. He wanted to go where his brother went, but what if his brother was just late? What if his gege came back and found Gou Feng wasn't there? He'll be worried. So Gou Feng just sat there until he couldn't take it anymore and went to the place where his brother went. He took a glance at the scene before walking down the dark and quiet street.

He'd been walking for hours now, but little Gou Feng did not find a shadow of his brother.

He sat down on the roadside and cried uncontrollably. He had lost his parents and now he couldn't find his brother either. What was he going to do?

"M-mom, Dad, Ge"

What should I do? I'm all alone '

Suddenly, a car parked in front of him, scaring him. And that's where he was rescued by Hei Bao. Then it became one of the wolf pacts. He did not know what happened to his brother, so he stopped looking. He believed that one day, fate would reunite them again.
