1 Chapter One

"Alright, here is the prescription. Just take them once a day before you sleep until the bottle is done. You should feel better by then. If there are still some problems, just come back and see me. We can figure something else out, alright?" A middle aged man sat smilingly on a metal chair. His skin was a light bronze and a rough, black beard grew from his face. His coal hair was long enough to be tied into a man bun. He had thin, jet black earrings hanging from his ears.

An old couple sat in front of him, looking a little frail, yet smiles covered their faces. "Thank you, Dr. Yunus." They got up from their seats, but before they left, the old woman decided to ask something. "Dr. Yunus, are you by chance single? I have a niece who is in her late twenties yet to be married. I can help…"

Dr. Yunus smiled but shook his head. "I'm sorry, but I have a wife."

"That's alright then." The old woman smiled regretfully and then left with her husband. Left in the room was Dr. Yunus. He had a small smile on his face as he shook his head. He picked up a booklet and wrote a few notes down.

'The next patient should be here in fifteen minutes.' He thought as he completed a few notes and stuffed the file into a cabinet, locking it right after. "Meera!" He called out.

A young woman in her mid twenties rushed into the room. She was a pretty girl with long brown hair. "Dr. Yunus, you called?" She walked over in her professional clothes. She had a pair of glasses on her face, giving her an air of intelligence.

"Tell me my schedule." He said while grabbing an apple from the top of his table and taking a large bite. "I have a surgery today, right?"

The girl quickly pulled out her phone and nodded. "Yes, you have a small surgery today at eight. Before that, you still have two more patients who will meet you. You will have a walk-in time for around an hour between the last patient and the surgery. After that, your schedule is free for today." She explained patiently.

He nodded his head while taking a small bite from his apple. "Busy." He said a single word before waving her out of the room. Meera took the signal and walked out. "Can you order some food for me? I forgot to bring some. Just order the usual." Before she stepped out of the room, he said his last words as he was getting ready for his next patient.

Not too long after, his patient, a young boy, walked in with his mother. Aarush gave him the typical look over and prescribed a few things. The final patients received similar treatment. "Dr. Yunus, the walk-in time will begin in ten minutes. Your food is here, so you can eat now." Walking into the room, Meera brought him a small bag and handed it over. With a smile she then walked back out. Aarush quickly began to eat the food. There wasn't much, but it was filling. After he was done, he cleaned up the area and washed his hands. The patients he would see during the walk-in varied. Sometimes lots of people came and he would be extremely busy, and other times, no one would come, and he would be extremely bored. This time, the day was like the latter. Only three patients came in to see him. Two of them were there for stomach aches, and one was there for nausea and alike. After he was done, he walked out of the room with a sigh. "Dr. Yunus. You can head over to the hospital now, I will clear up the clinic." Meera stood up and said with a smile.

Nodding his head, he grabbed a jumble of keys. "Meera, your husband is coming to pick you up, right?"

She nodded her head. "Yes, he should be here soon."

"Good." Aarush smiled and then walked out of the clinic. He walked towards a bike and turned it on, driving away.

He drove slowly and soon came to a stop at a sign. "Why the fuck are you being so persistent? Why the fuck can't you just marry him!?" He heard a growl so he looked to the left. He saw that inside of a car were a couple of people. Their window was slightly opened from the right side, the woman's side. She was looking outside, while the man on her left seemed to be angrily yelling at her. Aarush raised an eyebrow at this woman. She was stunning. Even he felt a little breathless at her beauty. "I don't want to look after a burden like you! You better fucking marry him or else!"

Aarush frowned a little. From his angle, he could see tears filling the woman's eyes. She seemed young, maybe in her late twenties at most, yet something peculiar about her was that her eyes seemed very heavy, as if she hadn't slept for days. Aarush couldn't help but curse the man. 'Who the hell is he to tell her who she can and can't marry?' He couldn't get up and say anything because he didn't want to interfere in a private conversation, plus they drove off before he could even react properly. Soon, he also drove off, praying that the woman would be alright. He didn't know why, but he had good will towards her.

Arriving at the hospital, he quickly marked himself in, and began to quickly change into his scrubs and other clothes. "Dr. Yunus, what's wrong?" As he walked towards the surgery room with a frown, an older doctor, male, ran over. Whenever Aarush showed annoyance or even a bit of anger, everyone who worked with him would suffer. It was terrible for the nurses and the residents. At the same time, they didn't want to let Aarush go because of his incredible skills. If not for his persistence in only doing surgeries, they would have made him into their permanent doctor in the emergency room.

"Nothing. Some people are just fucking low lives." He spoke with anger and entered the surgery room, not explaining anything more. His team followed right after. Everyone gathered around the patient. "Alright, this surgery will take us at least three hours to complete. It is normal, but stay on your feet. Don't make a single mistake." With his little talk, he began. Normally, he would be encouraging, but when his mood was bad, he wouldn't encourage the other residents and doctors at all. Aarush then looked at the patient, who was already unconscious and put under the care of the anethesist. He nodded at the team and soon began.
