It's been a couple hours since Saffron and Destiny left. I'm not sure where they went off to, but I heard the car start.

For the first time in years, it felt like the entire world wasn't mine to carry anymore. Things were getting better, and just as I was ready to accept that, I didn't.

I couldn't.

I can't fixate myself towards a burden-free path if Destiny suddenly decided to walk in another direction.

She was the only one with the strength to knock down all my walls. I am not letting her fall into the same hole I've spent years digging up.

Whatever it is, it's my turn to help her.

"Hey, man," Carter greets, sitting himself down next to me.

"Hey," I greet back.

I get a feeling that they finally know everything.

"Listen, I've known your mom since I was born, doesn't mean I know her any better though. All I'm saying is that anyone with eyes can see that she cared a lot for you."
