Chapter 3 - Gilgamesh (2)

(Standard PoV)

Somewhere inside a dense forest, sounds of explosions could be heard but no intense vibrations that indicates any sign of explosions.

When someone approach the location they would see a young man with silky golden hair. His face is described as handsome, and his eyes, crimson like blood, are visibly not those of a human and give off a mysterious radiance that makes people wither. He has a "perfect, Golden-proportioned body" described as emanating majesty that makes the water surrounding him calm as they came close.

He is currently naked inside a lake but only his upper-half is visible due to the reflection of the sunlight on the water. Behind him is ten golden portals that continuously shoots out a variety of weapons ranging from sharp weapons like swords, spears, daggers and axes to blunt weapons such as staffs hammers, maces and bludgeons.

While the weapons are shooting out at extreme speeds none of them make contact to the ground or trees because they disappear even before they hit. A few moments later, the portals disappears and the young man exits the lake revealing his perfect body but it only lasted a moment before a set of golden armor appears on his body. He normally has his hair standing up like blazing flame and wore golden armor that makes a heavy first impression but right now his hair flows down as opposed of spiking upwards, and the upper-half of his armor has been removed, with the exception for the right glove. Removing his armor exposes the red tattoos that he bears. In addition, he now wears a golden necklace.

As some of the readers have already know this is Gilgamesh.

Gilgamesh walks to a set of knight's clothes and armor laying beside the lake and touched it, putting it in a separate space in his Treasury.

After making sure that his clothes as King Arthur is in a separate shelf he began pondering his discoveries about Gate of Babylon. Right now he can only extract normal weapons and Noble Phantasms ranging from rank E~D, it is enough to survive this forest but he is still not satisfied to say the least. He can't even summon <Enkidu> right now so he is feeling displeased. He doesn't know why but he relates it to Gilgamesh's nature of being arrogant.

While he was pondering his body is unconsciously walking towards the tree he slept at last night but in the middle of his walk his instinct suddenly flared and he broke out of his pondering and looked at a bush where his instinct is reacting.

"Who's there?" he asked pompously.

The bush started to move and comes out of it is a young teenager with shoulder-lenght white hair and red eyes, if he compared to an animal he would be described as a rabbit. He is considered cute based on Gilgamesh's standard but unfortunately or fortunately he doesn't swing that way.

Though even before the youth can answer Gilgamesh's eyes widened because he knows who this person is. But seeing it in 2D and in person is completely different.

So he asked, "Who are you?" with a slight condescending tone.

The young teenager slightly paled and struggled to make words while he shivered, "Umm... m-my name is B-Bell Cranel, sir. I'm s-sorry for sneaking up on y-you!" he said and bowed at the end of his sentence.

Gilgamesh felt amused because he described it as sneaking but for him it was like hiding in plain sight but he didn't voice it out as he knew about this young teenager's personality. He was surprised because if Bell Cranel is here then that means he is his world but he can't make sure yet, he needed more clues to verify that he is in the world he assumed.

"Bell Cranel, was it? What are you doing in this forest? It is full of vicious creatures that can hurt you." Gilgamesh said feigning ignorance about knowing him.

"Ah! I live here with my grandfather and my house is just nearby so I don't need to worry about monsters approaching me." Bell said, losing his stuttering but still quite nervous.

"I see. Then you better get back as soon as possible. Even though you are safe right now doesn't mean that monsters won't appear he-"

Before he could finish his sentence he suddenly jumped towards Bell and dragged him to the side, avoiding the claws of a wolf-type monster that walks on it's hind legs.

"Stay back, kid." Gilgamesh said as he pulled out Excalibur like he did when he was Arthur, not realizing what he did he dashed to the wolf monsters bosom and slashed diagonally from bottom-left to upper-right.

Surprisingly, the wolf monster leaped back and only received a shallow cut on it's stomach.

"Tch, an agility type, huh." Gilgamesh clicked his tongue before using Mana Burst to approach the wolf monster much faster but this time he appeared behind the wolf monster and slashed at its throat.

The wolf, not noticing Gilgamesh has appeared behind it, got its head separated from its torso.

Gilgamesh breathed a sigh and relaxed his body and swiped Excalibur to remove the blood on it.

He looked at Excalibur for a moment before his eyes went wide and mouth agape. He unsummoned Excalibur and it disappeared just like it did when he was Arthur and not like the other weapons and noble phantasms in Gate of Babylon.

While all of this happening, Bell has been staring at Gilgamesh with shinning eyes full of awe and admiration.

'Wow! He looks super cool, is he a hero like those in the books grandpa Zeus used to read me?' he thought to himself believing that Gilgamesh is a hero the same as the ones he know from books.

Bell approached Gilgamesh and asked in excitement, "Are you a hero! Wow! I wanna be like you too. Can I one day be a hero that saves the girls? How can I be a hero?" he barrage Gilgamesh with questions.

Gilgamesh broke from his stupor and stared at Bell, "Hold up kid. I'll answer your questions one by one. First off, I'm no-" he pause before remembering what Gilgamesh and Arthur is, "Yes, I am sort of a Hero. A Heroic Spirit to be exact. Second, if you work hard enough to achieve your dream, nothing can stop you. Lastly, work hard, train hard and don't give up. Persevere until the end but remember to never overextend yourself because that will only lead to a backlash on your body." he said trying to remember the words of those shounen protagonists he read once.

Bell, not knowing that Gilgamesh only stole those lines, admired Gilgamesh more and a fire lit up inside of him, "Yes! I'm going to start it right now. Thank you!" he said before dashing away to what Gilgamesh assumed to be the direction of his House.

Gilgamesh smiled wryly before heat gathered on his face as embarrassment hit him.

He slapped his face to compose himself before continuing to walk to the tree he slept last night.
