Chapter 12 - Meeting Bell again

For the remainder of the day, Adam sorted out how he could use Gabriel's abilities and after that was resting, the majority of the time was resting though.

Even though his body had changed to be stronger, his mind still needed rest because of the events that happened today. The sudden appearance of a foreign memory also drained his mind due to the strong feelings contained within it. The memory about the books and the man has strong emotions of determination, respect, excitement, gluttony, and a bit of fear.

His mind is too spent that the moment he closed his eyes, he immediately fall asleep.

The next day, Adam woke up with a greeting from Gabriel inside his mind.

[Good morning, Father. What plans do you have for today?] she inquired.

Adam groggily lift his body and leaned his back to Fred, his action stirring the baby animals that rested on his body to wake as well, involuntarily making small noises, resulting in the wake of the rest of the animals.

Adam noticed this and a wry smile appeared on his face, albeit faint that you couldn't even see it from afar. He still hasn't got used to his new body, it wasn't like how he transformed into Heroic Spirits a.k.a. Servants to which he immediately got accustomed to it as if it were his from the start.

This body's height, power, flexibility, and features were extremely different from his previous body or previous transformations, although he only managed to transform into 3 different Servants, Arthur having the highest power output, Cú having the most flexibility and being the tallest, and Gilgamesh having the most good-looking features. This new body composition is further improved than all of them combined.

His now ash-colored hair that flows freely, reaching his nape. His eyes reminiscent of the blue sky and flowing like waters, contained within is unparalleled calmness, indifference, and determination. Although for the time being, he still need to work on his expressions. His body that was sculptured by God, literally, depicts the pinnacle of men, his features that would make even the Gods fall in love. And his temperament that of a King, born to rule, not oppress, can make even the most rebellious person follow him.

Most of the changes in his body are similar to that of his previous life as Kasugano Adam, minus the temperament, but he still needs time to properly get used to it.

He stretched his body and heard some bones pop, or rather, all his bones pop with a single movement. He groaned reflexively but he did not feel any pain and ended it with a long sigh.

He looked at his clothes, which was too small for him now, and decided to change into a more comfortable pair. His body itches a lot due to the clothes, probably because Adam is used to being naked, so he searched the Treasury of Babylon for some baggy or form-fitting clothes, but he only found some old-style clothes and expensive armors which were not suitable for the current situation. He dragged all the cloth-types and defensive-types to an empty section of the Treasury using his mind to control the shelves, after that, he separated them to a more concise category and after searching a few more times, he found a relatively suitable armor made from some flexible metal, it almost looks like ordinary clothes if not for their metallic sheen.

He grabbed the pair of blue armor and put them on, strangely enough, their texture didn't contain the usual grit of metals, and are surprisingly soft, the long-sleeved shirt clinged to his body and adjusted it's size to cover his broad and tall body, his muscles visible from the outside, and his pants did the same, showing his overly toned leg muscles.

He also found a pair of black boots that go together with the armor-clothes.

Exiting the Treasury, he asked Gabriel what type of material his current out fit is made of.

[The pair of armors are made from a mixture of dragon scales and the horn of a legendary beast, it was deemed useless by the maker because it proved to be unable to block even a normal sword slash. If you infuse mana into it and let the mana linger inside, the armor would grow stronger and stronger the more mana you put into it, the purer the mana the stronger it gets.]

[The boots are made from mithirl-orichalcum alloy layered with adamantium. The mithirl-orichalcum alloy absorbs mana and increases the users agility, but because Gilgamesh's mana was mixed with divinity, the boots threatened to break, thus the adamantium layer.]

...

'...I am not even surprised, of course it wouldn't be ordinary, otherwise Gilgamesh wouldn't have kept it in his Treasury.'

He sighed and bid farewell to the animals, they scattered back into the forest leaving Adam alone under Fred, the tree.

Adam stared at Fred and could somehow feel it's emotions, he couldn't bear to leave it here for when he enters the city and Fred could tell that Adam also needs to leave one day. So Adam put his hand on Fred's trunk and infused him a mana mixed with his aura, with this, Fred would grow into a big tree, encompassing the whole forest and helping the land become more prosperous.

Little did Adam know, that because of his aura, this little tree would evolve into a very big tree, World Tree, and be named Yggdrasil by the people.

But that's a story for another time.

Adam walked towards the lake he always used since he came to this world.

He knelt by the side and scooped up a handful of water and splashed it to his face, he rubbed his face a couple of times before rinsing the water off it and looking at his reflection.

"It looks different from when I saw it in anime. He, no, I look more handsome." he spoke to himself.

He fell into a daze for a moment before hearing a rustle from the nearby bush which broke him from his stupor, he couldn't help but feel a sense of déjà vu as he turned to look at the source of the noise.

There, he spotted a white-haired kid that looked like he was searching for something until he spotted Adam.

The kid got flustered and bowed to his direction before turning around, attempting to run back, until he heard the other party call his name.

"...Bell?"

The white-haired kid, Bell, froze and turned his head mechanically to Adam.

"...How do you know my name, Umm, sir?" he asked cautiously.

Adam was confused for a few second before remembering that his body changed and he doesn't look like Gilgamesh right now.

"Right, you can't remember, the how about now?" he replied and used [Transfiguration] and turn into Gilgamesh.

His height reduced and his hair changed to blonde, his eyes became blood-red. His clothes changed as well to Proto Gilgamesh, courtesy of Gate of Babylon, with the trademark twin gold swords hanging behind his back.

Bell looked in shock at the transformation happening in front of him, he still remembered the day he met the hero in his dreams, his idol, and his goal. His eyes brighten with stars in them and said in surprise, "Ah! You are that Mister Hero from the other day! But why do you look different earlier?"

Adam scratched his cheek and replied awkwardly, "About that... this... is my transformation. Right, my transformation, a skill of mine."

"Is that so? That is so cool!" Bell reacted innocently.

Adam was starting to feel uncomfortable, both by the kid's enthusiasm and the transformation. He doesn't know why he felt uncomfortable, but it compelled his body to change back, and so he did.

His previous appearance as Adam came back and he asked Bell, "So what are you doing here again, Kid? Where do you live? Come, I'll escort you. You wouldn't want the same thing as last time to happen, right?"

Adam approached Bell and his aura enveloped the boy's body.

Bell felt calm and warm when Adam neared him and he couldn't help but look at Adam affectionallly.

Not that kind of affection, no. It is the affection one would have for a family member.

Bell was hit by a realization and asked Adam, "What should I call you? Or your Appearance earlier?"

"Well, you can call me Gilgamesh with my appearance earlier, but-" before he could finish his words, Bell exclaimed from his side.

"Gilgamesh! As in, the legendary Gilgamesh? The Demi-god Hero King? That Gilgamesh!?" Bell fired question after question due to his excitement.

Adam squinted his eyes with a wry smile on his face as he replied, "Yes, that Gilgamesh. Keep it a secret though. I might get in trouble if anyone else were to know."

Adam concluded from Bell's reaction that the Gilgamesh from this world is also fairly famous and have some fundamental similarities with the Gilgamesh he is.

Adam shook his head and continued his earlier statement, "Anyway, in this form, you can call me Adam, just A-" he is again cut off by Bell's exclamation, which is louder than earlier.

"Adam! You have the same name as the 'Adam' from the history! Grandpa often told me stories about Adam. Are you that Adam?"

Adam sighed from the excessive excitement of the white-haired boy, he patter the boy's head to calm him down and replied after, "I am that same 'Adam', well essentially, at least."

Bell calmed down from Adam's patting, but instantly frenzied at the confirmation, "Wow! I met two legends in one day! Wait, if you're Adam, then does that mean, you are my Ancestor?" he asked innocently.

Adam's eyebrow twitched, but he couldn't refute the kid's words and nodded.

"Oh wow! I get to meet my ancestor! How cool is that!? So you are not only a Hero, but also our Ancestor?" Bell questioned rhetorically to himself.

Adam had to listen to the kid's rambling while still patting his head, it took a moment before Bell calmed down and just hummed while walking towards his house.

The moment Bell's house appeared in sight, Adam felt his intuition warn him about impending danger.

Zeus summoned a lightning and threw it towards Adam at an incredible speed.

Adam quickly leaned to the right as he dodge the lightning bolt by a hair's breath. He looked at Zeus with his calm and indifferent expression, "Uwah! That was close, gramps. What was that for?" he exclaimed and asked Zeus.

The moment he said 'gramps' something tugged his mind as he felt that the way he called Zeus is familiar.

Zeus shook his head and noticed Bell hiding behind Adam with 'his' head peeking out to look at him.

Zeus gained lines on his forehead as he stared at Adam in fury and rage as lightning flickered and thunder sounded around him.

"You... What are you planning to do with my granddaughter!?"

As he threw another lightning bolt, this time bigger, towards Adam who just caught it in his hand.

But Adam seemed to not be paying attention as he process Zeus words.

"Wait, granddaughter!?"

As he did, his usually calm and indifferent face gained a shocked expression as he used his powers as Adam to scan Bell's body.

It turned out that 'he' is actually a 'she'.
