The War God's Clash

Fuyuki, Japan,

Shinto District (Ruins),

"Ah, do you smell that?"

"....?"

"Of course you don't, you'd need a brain for it."

"How does smelling even relate to the brain?"

"I rest my case."

Roman inhaled audibly, staring down at the ruined district with a small calm smile. He was having mixed feelings about the fact that all of this was both directly and indirectly his own personal handiwork.

"So, Master, what do you plan on doing for.... your grand announcement?" Nagao Kagetora couldn't help but stare at his back, intrigued, she knew full well he wasn't evil... She might have cut him down right here if he was so it was mildly entertaining to see him make things harder for himself for entertainment... At the same time, it was confusing because he surely understood it was useless.

"Mhm, magic." Roman Trambelio cleared his throat, pointing a finger at one of the still standing skyscrapers as the magical energy in the air swirled all around, coalescing near him before being sapped, disappearing as if it had never even been there.

"...That did nothing."

"Too impatient."

He slowly moved the pointed finger horizontally across the building, of course it never made any contact and any contact made never would have done anything anyway... Or so it would be if it was anyone other than Roman.

An immensely powerful came crashing from the side, slicing the entire skyscraper in two instantaneously and blowing out walls, supports, furniture, anything inside an entire floor. With a massive boom and the sounds of ripping metal, the upper half began to fall over soon crashing into and through the building right next to it.

One skyscraper crashed into another and two massive architectural marvels came tumbling down to the ground below.

Falling apart with massive booms and chunks of walls and beams falling down before, ripping up the already ruined roads and pavements, even causing explosions thanks to the few vehicles still present there.

Thankfully, the entire district had been pretty much abandoned so no life was lost.....probably.

"Your prowess is indeed awe-inducing." Kagetora lightly clapped her hands, observing the chaos ensuing down below. The whole thing seemed as if it were a natural phenomenon rather than a product of magic, but perhaps that was what made it magic in the first place, "However, I can not sit silent while innocents die."

Roman deadpanned at the Lancer's words, "The truth?"

"..." Kagetora remained silent, unable to come up with a reasonable explanation.. The 'truth' was that she couldn't care less, why did they get sad over people dying in the first place?

"I'm curious, what happened to the master you were assigned?" Roman glanced at the white haired woman from the corner of his eye, tapping his cane against the ground, just in case, he'd be a fool to trust a servant he didn't know of in detail..

"I tore off his limbs and ripped out his heart."

"...."

Roman turned around, narrowing his gaze, even he couldn't let that level of brutality go....

Noticing the strange air, Kagetora laughed, patting her master's shoulder in a jovial manner, "I was joking." Before putting on a more serious look, "He was..... unable to handle the truth before him and I managed to render our contract useless." She'd just made him waste the command seals on random, benign and meaningless things, knocked him unconscious and left on her search for a better one.

"So you made him waste his Command Seals?"

"....Yes." Kagetora found herself pleasantly surprised with his conjecture.

"Gut one." Roman nodded in approval, this was a good catch. Though, also necessary thanks to the presence of two people that would remain otherwise unmatched, Oda Nobunaga and Gilgamesh. The best possible course of action was to make the two go for one another.

Roman rubbed his chin in thought, staring at the grey cloudy sky as the wind brushed past his hair, making it sway ever so slightly... For a moment, the scene seemed peaceful... Only for a moment though, "Do you.... hear that?" Roman looked around, searching for the source of the booms that had begun to echo throughout the area...

Kagetora manifested one of her lances, the flaming one to be precise and, "Master, move." Pushed her Master out of harm's way, pulling back her arm and throwing the lance at something behind him.

The weapon instantly broke the sound barrier and a massive crash resounded soon after, brilliant flames spiralling to the sky in a beautiful show of raw destructive power.

"It didn't hit, did it?" Roman mused with a barely bothered expression, resting both hands on his cane, his gut told him the lance never made contact.

"It was dodged, at the last moment... This servant's speed borders my own.. no, perhaps beyond. Incredible!" A maniacal grin seemed to form across the Lancer's face, only for a moment though.

"A Rider it is." The Sixth Magician concluded, raising his cane slightly. Kagetora was an abnormality when it came to speed thanks to her Divinity so his conclusion wasn't founded on nothing..., "This day is going rather well." He smiled widely, just one display of destruction and they had a servant headed their way.

"Lancer, go wild."

"Gallop forth, Hoshoutsukige!" Summoning her stallion, the War God of Echigo jumped on just as the beast began to run, needing nothing to step on and running through air as if it were standing on solid ground. Releasing a supersonic boom of her own, Kagetora vanished from sight and not a second later, metal clashed with metal, releasing clangs that seemed to echo throughout the district.

"I have to say, Bounded Fields are convenient." Roman calmly dusted off his coat, seemingly unscathed after the explosion of sound he took at point blank.. Why? Well, as he'd said, bounded fields were convenient... A mobile bounded field erected around his own body that separated him from the space around him rendering natural and conventional attacks null.

"Warrior who share my homeland, name yourself!" Kagetora relished the chance for battle and thanked her Master for granting it as she slashed down a golden nodachi (Longer, less curved katana essentially), leaving a trail of shining magical energy..

The attack was dodged though and only her instincts allowed her to react fast enough to block the swing coming from her right.

"Good!" The War God of Echigo praised her opponent with a hearty smile, joyous that he or she had a speed that left their figure barely comprehensible.

"Let us battle!" She shouted, blocking a blow from the other side that shook her entire arm. Her smile only widened when another slash came from the right just as she blocked the one from the right... This one however, was completely blocked off by one of her lances, a lance that had golden lightning dancing about it's tip.

Another sonic boom resounded, glass windows shattered on one of the surrounding skyscrapers making Kagetora realise that her opponent had used the building as a platform for lunging.

Reacting quickly, she let go of her lance and summoned a katana instead, holding both blades to the front in an x just as metal slid past the crux of both weapons, releasing bright, searing sparks.

The attack however, was completely stopped in it's tracks.

Now that what was a thrust to her neck was thoroughly blocked, her 'opponent' was halted long enough for 'her' figure to be completely visible.

A girl that looked to be in her teens scantily clad in some strange mockery of what Kagetora would call a Samurai's armour with long black hair that had been tied up to the side. The sheath of her massive blade seemed to be something similar to a raccoon's tail..

"Are you a pervert?" Kagetora tilted her head, staring at the enemy Rider with empty eyes.

"What kind of question is that?" The girl backed away, latching onto the side of a skyscraper, perhaps deciding to finally talk before resuming her assault again.

"Lancer, Nagao Kagetora, I am your enemy." The War God of Echigo pulled on her stallion's reins, spinning her lance around for a bit before pointing it at the unnamed servant.

"I was of the belief revealing our names was a disadvantage." The presumed Rider Class servant looked around a bit, "But considering the state of things, I don't think it holds true any longer." She closed her eyes, nodding to herself for a moment, "Rider, Ushiwakamaru, may the better warrior succeed."

Unknown to the two servants fighting, perhaps even to Roman, his message had gotten across more than clear... The consequences of the message however, perhaps weren't what he expected, or maybe they were? One thing was certain however, pure conflict wasn't the only thing coming.

Standing near the edge of the roof, Roman Trambelio released a sigh, "I guess there'd be some against me killing every servant other than my own."

I'm pausing updates for a bit . Due to certain personal circumstances, I had to pause posting on my patreon for a few days and it's behind what it should be. I'll try to refill it and come back as soon as possible and no this isn't a hiatus or a break. It shouldn't take more than a day or two at most but do try to understand, I do owe them that much.
