Jealousy

Servants were summoned to the present world through the Holy Grail War's summoning ritual from the Throne of Heroes.

Their existence was rooted in the Holy Grail, and their energy source was magical energy. This meant they didn't need food or sleep to replenish nutrients and adjust their bodies. As long as they had sufficient magical energy, they could engage in high-intensity activities twenty-four hours a day.

Of course, there were some special cases.

For instance, when the Master's magical energy was too low, a Servant could replenish their magical energy through sleep and eating, but this method was highly inefficient compared to normal magical energy supply.

As a Ruler, Jeanne's magical energy was directly supplied by the Greater Grail, so there was no risk of magical energy shortage.

Unfortunately, she did not descend in a normal way like other Servants but rather manifested by inhabiting a young girl named Laeticia. This led to several flaws in her own existence.

Not eating made her hungry and not sleeping made her tired. Although she could ignore these needs, Laeticia's body couldn't endure it. Once reaching the limit, her body would force Jeanne to offline.

Since landing at the Henry Coanda Airport, two full days and nights had passed. Jeanne hadn't taken a drop of water, a grain of rice, nor closed her eyes for even a moment. For a girl of merely fourteen to fifteen years old, enduring until now was quite impressive.

Originally, Jeanne had planned to leave the Fortress of Millennia‎‎ and immediately find a church to rest. Unfortunately, due to the homunculus incident, her schedule was once again delayed.

Now, unable to hold on any longer, especially with Arkhan by her side, someone who brought her great comfort, she simply collapsed.

"So, this is the reason you brought her back, eh?" Nidhogg raised an eyebrow, looking at the peacefully sleeping Jeanne on the bed, then turned to Arkhan.

"I can't just toss her out, can I?" Arkhan shrugged his shoulders helplessly.

Nidhogg, momentarily speechless, gave a slight snort, crossed her arms, and walked to the balcony.

Arkhan followed her, wrapping his arms around her slender waist from behind, his mouth gently approaching her delicate ear.

"What's wrong? Is my Nid jealous?"

"What do you think?" Nidhogg rolled her eyes. "That woman has been staring at you the whole time. It's obvious she's interested in you."

'Probably because of the 'Savior'...'

Arkhan pondered silently, but a wicked thought suddenly crossed his mind. He leaned in close to Nidhogg's ear and whispered.

"You once said, 'I'm the king, so, it's okay to have a few more', remember?"

Upon hearing that, Nidhogg's expression became awkward, twisting and turning. She turned around abruptly, staring at Arkhan wide-eyed.

"You're not doing this because that girl's face looks exactly like Lily and Morgan, rig—"

*Thud!*

Before she could finish, however, Arkhan impatiently flicked her forehead.

"Do you think I'm that kind of person?"

"I was just joking..." Nidhogg pouted and mumbled while holding her forehead.

Seeing this, Arkhan's eye twitched slightly. He really didn't know what experiences she had gone through in human society over the years, making her start to act cute.

He was honestly speechless.

The once fearsome, arrogant, and ignorant black dragon was gradually becoming more and more feminine and cute.

With this thought in mind, Arkhan's gaze involuntarily fell on Nidhogg's cold and fair face, then slid downward, passing over her delicate collarbone, her towering and soft chest, and her slender and graceful thighs.

Gradually, something seemed to be burning in his eyes, growing hotter and fiercer.

As Arkhan's closest companion, Nidhogg naturally sensed his changes right away. Her black eyes betrayed a hint of panic; after a solid seven hours of their passionate activity, she still hadn't fully recovered. If another night followed, she genuinely doubted her endurance.

However, before she could speak, Arkhan abruptly kissed her lips.

*Chu~*

His agile tongue, like a serpent, forcefully parted her lips, greedily seeking her essence.

Nidhogg's body instantly went limp. Her breath grew heavier, her eyes more hazy, and her mind clouded as if she were floating on clouds.

'Oh well, what a troublesome husband...' Nidhogg sighed inwardly, ceasing resistance. Her arms naturally encircled Arkhan's neck, skillfully responding to his advances.

Just as the two were about to ignite their passions, an unfamiliar aura suddenly swept through. They snapped out of their daze, their gazes sharp, directed toward the source of the disturbance.

Beneath the cool moonlight, a towering figure stood on the rooftop's peak, emanating a wild, beast-like aura. Only his eyes remained calm, like a tranquil lake deep within a jungle.

As Arkhan's summoned being, Nidhogg naturally received some information about the Holy Grail War. Coupled with his explanation, she instantly knew the identity of the newcomer.

Archer of Black, the legendary Greek hero, Heracles.

Sensing the formidable aura emanating from Heracles, Nidhogg couldn't help but feel cautious. Though not well-versed in Greek mythology, she instinctively recognized the potential danger emanating from him, akin to the feeling she got from Thor.

Encounters in the dead of night, with the wind howling, were rarely for good purposes. Strangely, Heracles's demeanor was peaceful, devoid of any killing intent or combat readiness, leaving Nidhogg puzzled about his intentions.

A hand suddenly rested on her shoulder, and she immediately turned her head to see Arkhan smiling at her.

"He's here for me. You go inside and rest; I'll be back soon."

Hearing that, Nidhogg furrowed her brows, glancing at the silent figure of Heracles, then back at her husband. After a moment of silence, she finally nodded.

"Be careful. Call me if anything happens, okay?"

As Arkhan's summoned being, she could instantly teleport to him within a certain range.

"Don't worry. You know I'm not someone who could be easily dealt with." Arkhan grinned with confidence. Even without Nidhogg around and facing Heracles alone, it was hard to say who would come out on top.

With that, he leaped toward the fortress's rooftop, with Heracles silently trailing behind.

The two figures, one after the other, quickly vanished from Nidhogg's sight.
