4 Chapter 04: A Much Needed Discussion

North of Lyon, a duo of men could be seen running toward La Charite
"Aren't we far enough ?" asked Siegfried while turning his head to look at me to try to pry something out of the Quincy's mask
Friedrich looked at him while still running, pondering something for a second before responding
"No, we can't be sure if animalistic woman could follow our scent" Friedrich already witnessed the keen senses of the woman before and he wasn't to try his luck with these strange being
"We can talk while running" proposed the Quincy
At this question the dragon slayer nodded and we resumed running, Friedrich took the lead with Siegfried two meters behind.
"So, why is the famous dragon slayer Siegfried in France ?" asked Friedrich
"I was summoned here to defeat my old enemy, the evil dragon Fafnir, killing the false saint is just something that I made personal after witnessed all the carnage that she brings" Siegfried explained
"I see, so you were dead and something summoned you to defeat Fafnir ? It seems what summoned you picked you because of your legend of slaying the dragon, so do you think there could be someone that could have been summoned to defeat the false saint ?" The Quincy asked with non dissimuled eagerness
"Yes, I was surely not the only one to be summoned, perhaps someone with an affinity to killing saints or holy figures could have been summoned too" Siegfried replied
"So, who are you ? You're obviously not someone that was summoned here by the counterforce, you're not even a Heroic Spirit but you have such strength while still being a human, that's extremely impressive" Siegfried inquired while still running behind the Quincy
The Quincy pondered for a moment looking at the sky while running
"My name is Friedrich Braun, I am a Stern Ritter, I was dispatched in France in response to the appearance of these beast" the Quincy lied, while he think that Siegfried seems to be trustworthy at first glance, he is not totally sure and he will not disclose anything in relation to the Silbern or something that will endanger his brothers.
"Star Knight ?" Siegfried said, letting the words roll on his tongue for a while "I've never heard of this knight order before" Siegfried finally added after a while
" We're an order specialized in the elimination of dangerous beasts. I was trained since I was a little child to attain this level of mastery of our arts" Friedrich said, reminiscing about the past for a moment.
"I see, an order specializing in the hunt of beasts, wonderful" muttered Siegfried " Us Heroic Spirit, are people that left a mark in the History of Humanity, a lot of us left legends like mine, we are called in time of need to protect earth"
"The magecraft of your order is quite potent, I've never seen anything like that before" Siegfried added with a wondering voice.
"Our order has been extremely secretive, you've surely never seen one of us out in the open like now" Friedrick replied back to the dragonslayer "We should up the pace a bit to arrive to La Charite before dawn" added the Quincy
Siegfried nodded and in a burst of mana he accelerated beyond Friedrich in an instant
"At this pace will you not be tired soon ?" inquired the Quincy, for as long as there is reishi in the atmosphere a Quincy cannot run out of energy because he will unconsciously absorb the reishi inside his body to replenish his reserves.
"Haha, no that's good, I won't get tired that easily" chuckled the dragon slayer before explaining "I have a skill that allows me to restore my condition at my peak"
Friedrich nodded at this revelation, the mask hiding his shocked expression
'Wouldn't that make him practically unkillable if he plays his card right?' Frierich wondered before accelerating to match the pace of the slayer.
The rest of the travel to La Charite was made in silence and after around thirty minutes, the village was finally in sight
"I'm picking up three servants' signatures in the city and a strange human signature" Friedrich informed the dragon slayer
"Let's first approach them nicely and maybe we could discuss with them" proposed the Siegfried
"The town is not on fire yet, so they may actually be sane people," acquiesced the Quincy with a nod.
The duo then decelerates and start walking to arrives in La Charite
In La Charité
"Ritsuka-san, we're picking up a Saber-class servant signal and a strange presence accompanying it, prepare for battle if things go south" said Dr.Romani Archaman, the acting director of Chaldea since the bombing of the organization.
"But first try to be amiable, Ritsuka, a good first impression is always important ! " encouraged the woman that appeared on the screen
"Yes Da Vinci-sama !" responded Mash Kyrielight, Mash is a young woman with short lilac hair, lavender eyes and fair skin. She is clad in a skin-tight black and purple armor, the armor resembles an extremely short mini-dress. She wields a large cross-shaped shield with inscription on it.
"Thanks, Mash!" exclaimed Da Vinci, appearing on screen."How would our Master do without you around?".
Da Vinci is like seeing the Mona Lisa coming to life, while being a male during his life, Da Vinci in his life as a Heroic Spirit became the representation of the perfect beauty that he painted during his life.
"Huh, mon Maître," recommended the tall and muscular man. "I would recommend doing what Lady Da Vinci is saying. Antagonizing a group of Servants while we don't know how many Servants the Witch has gathered yet would be disastrous, after all, and we don't even know if these people are with the false saint."
"Don't worry, Master," he continued. "If they're hostile, my cannons will tear them apart, protecting you and the little saintess."
"I truly hope that our upcoming visitors will be bearers of goodwill. I don't want to spill blood while the false me is doing all kinds of atrocities around France," said the last figure. She was a woman who bore an uncanny resemblance to the witch that was burning Lyon, but this time there wasn't any malice leaking from her, just pure benevolence. Her hair was a more brilliant blond than the witch's, and she wore a far more colorful dress than her counterpart.
"Okay," clapped Ritsuka with his hands. "Let's go greet our visitors!" he exclaimed
After that, the group made his way to the entrance from which the visitors will be coming, the Heroic Spirits prepared for all eventualities.
Outside of La Charite :
"It seems that they're coming to greet us directly, I don't sense any malice from them" said Fredrich, observing the group with his heightened senses.
"Let's go then ! "said Siegfried urged his travel companion.
The Stern Ritter looked at him but said nothing and continued to advance toward the city.

How was it ? Doing dialogues is not my forte but I tried and made researches to try to bring as much life into my characters.
