GOH overview

The story takes place in a supernatural world, where normal people are oblivious to the fact of a supernatural world.

At least 600+ years before the start of the G.O.H plot, the monkey king along with the Nine Kings of the Sage Realm went to war with the Heavenly Realm. He eventually fought against the Nine-Tails Guardian but to the monkey kings dismay their fight was interrupted and the king was captured and put into the Eight Trigrams Jail. Although he was imprisoned, he eventually broke out with the help of his army giving him strength. The war lasted for many years but it inevitably ended with the loss of the Sage Realm. Mo - Ri eventually fought against them once again, fighting against Buddha and the Jade Emperor but was captured and upon his return, he acted as an emissary between the gods and the Sage Realm. However, something happened that caused him to disappear and regress into the form of a baby and encase himself in a crystal.

Charyeok:

Charyeok or God Point (GP) literally means the act of borrowing strength from a god, divine beast, or other supernatural entity (such as a spirit). Charyeok is when a mortal makes a contract with a supernatural entity in which the human is able to borrow their power. Upon accessing that god's power, the human is able to channel it and manifest it (through imagination and their emotions) as their own unique ability. Most characters of in G.O.H have reached the level where they can materialize their Charyeok as a distinct, yet connected, living entity that they can control.

Martial arts:

Martial arts are codified systems and traditions of combat practices, which are practised for a variety of reasons: self-defense, competition, physical health and fitness, entertainment, as well as mental, physical, and spiritual development. Some martial artists took this practice to God level.

Gods:

The Gods are the beings who control what mortals do, they are usually far more powerful than humans and tend to have certain powers and ranks.

They have power like-

Invulnerability: The gods are immune to most phenomena. They can endure extreme temperatures, are unaffected by disease, and some can brush off attacks capable of destroying entire planets. Before the breaking of Taboo, they can't be harmed by humans.

Enhanced Physical Abilities: The gods have immense physical power. They can move and react at blistering speeds, can destroy areas of land that dwarf cities with a single punch, and can lift incredibly heavy objects.

Longevity: Gods live for thousands of years, but they are revealed to be mortal still, needing to extend their lives by means of absorbing bio-energy.

Core Element: The very essence and life of a god. For a god to making a pledge on it means they swear on their life.

Classification-

Angels: Lesser beings who serve the gods. They generally act like soldiers and scouts in the Heavenly Armies. Angels are weaker than the other gods, but are still far stronger than humans and many demons. Humans can fight and defeat angels without breaking their taboo.

Nephilim: Powerful minor gods that act as elite soldiers in the Heavenly Armies. Nephilim are usually always accompanied by legions of angels which they seem to command. They have diverse forms, but they often appear as giant, winged, humanoid being dwarfing large cities, and often wield mountain-sized swords which can rip open the planet's crust. They are capable of flight, teleportation, and shooting destructive beams of energy.

Gods: These are the general populous of the gods, containing many deities and beings from mythology and legends. They include beings such as Heracles.

High Gods: As their name implies, these are an upper echelon of gods, who have immense power and authority. They have been shown capable of possessing people. Most of them reside in the First Heavenly Realm, with some exceptions such as Masters of Heavenly Realm that resides within their respective realm. Example of High Gods are Zeus, Odin, and Michael the Archangel.

Heavenly Princes: The Heavenly Princes are the children of the Jade Emperor and are bestowed with vast mystical powers. Their purpose is to exterminate all who oppose their father. They command massive armies of Nephilim. They normally take the appearance of humans, but in their true form appear to be beings of pure elemental energy.

Masters of Heavenly Realm: Rulers of the Heavenly Realm, each commanding their respective sub-realm. It is unknown if this position is above, equal, or below the jade emperor in rank. Example of the current holder of the position is 666:Satan and Garuda. The position can be taken by others by defeating the current masters.

Jade Emperor: The Leader of the Gods

Supreme God: Buddha (Deceased)

Realms-

Heavenly realm: The Heavenly Realm is a tower located inside a planet with its surface covered with toys. It is made up of 10,000 floors built into a planet with each floor progressively harder to conquer than the one before.

The last seven floors are the main sub-realms of the heavenly realm. These seven floors are ruled by what the natives of the tower called are the Owners of the World, better known as Masters of the Heavenly Realms by the Gods. The Gatekeeper guards the entrance to the 7th floor to make sure only those that are worthy make it through. In order to proceed from one floor or realm to the next, the intruder must defeat the ruler.

Sage realm: The Sage Realm is a planet in another dimension that is home to many powerful creatures of legends like minotaurs and dragons. It seems to be divided into various countries, but how it is divided and who rules it is unknown. In the past, the demons challenged the gods of the Heavenly Realm, they were led by the Monkey King, Sun Wukong. They were defeated and somehow Sun Wukong ended up on Earth as an infant encased in a crystal.
