2 Chapter 1 What a gloomy day

It's half past six in the evening, people in black leaving the cemetery all looking gloomy. At the other side of the field were women comforting each other wearing black too.

Starr,who looked like her world was coming to an end as her face looked all gloomy and her eyes red like she cried a drum full of tears.After so much walking she decided to sit down under the shade,she didn't realize when she went into the world of thoughts. Her foster father Mr Joshua who was like her father figure passed away.Slowly she started remembering how he took her to school when she was younger and the counselling he gave her.She remembered those times he was scared of her leaving them to go to college because he did not want her to mix with bad friends.They were so close,she never knew that he was not her real father till their neighbours started telling her and she asked him but he denied it but on his sick bed he told her the truth.

Starr's father passed away when her mother was 90 days pregnant for her.Her mum died when she was 3 months old.Mr and Mrs Joshua Eugene who were her neighbours took her in as they were close to her parents.

The news came as a shock as she did not have any reason to doubt that they were her real parents.She wanted to hate them for not telling her but still she loved them.Mr Joshua was a sickler and also an impotent man,so they did not have a child.When Starr's parents died,they took her in and treated her as their own.
