73 Return to DxD

Back in Fuyuki, Natalia was now facing Kiritsugu who had a despondent expression in his face, as if having lost all hope and finally broken completely.

"Look at how you ended up . . ." She said while looking up and smoking a cigarette.

She lost any bit of hatred she had for Kiritsugu, looking at him like he was now. But this was something he had done to himself.

"N-Natalia . . . I . . ." Kiritsugu started but didn't say anything.

Seeing his pathetic self that, in her mind, wasn't even worth killing, Natalia just left him to suffer and, a few days later, Kiritsugu ended his own life, finally unable to bear the burden of all he did throughout his life.

This choice of his honestly surprised Jun as even when everything ended badly after Fate/Zero, Kiritsugu still lived out the rest of his short life.

'I guess I underestimated what saving Shirou after that disaster meant for him . . .' Jun thought after hearing the report that mentioned Kiritsugu's suicide.

Irisviel was shocked as well, crying for her former husband but she had to be strong for her daughter so she pushed those feeling aside and focused on her.

As for Jun, he decided to go back to DxD and continued his self development there for now.

He asked who wanted to go with him but, much to his shock, none of them decided to do so. Instead, they made a very diligent decision.

They would stay in the Akashic Tower and continue to train. Should Jun need them, he could summon them at any time. They made this decision as a group due to Jun's power having surpassed them now by too large of a margin.

For them who wanted to walk by his side and help him in his future endeavours, this was truly unacceptable and so, now that they had a vessel that could grow from training without limit, they decided to try and catch up by doing this.

Noticing their train of thought, Jun re added the Klironomia to his list of things to accomplish, now more urgent as it would do great in enhancing each of them and improving the fruits of their training.

'Still, to think that even Semiramis would take this route, she did "recruit" all the homunculi as her servants to please her though, I guess that helped with putting her in the mood for effort. She's not the type to like being dominated so she probably feels her own power to be lacking like the others.'

Speaking of the Homunculi, Jun graciously used Aurea Poculum to fix their defects and give them an eternal life span which was actually pretty easy as they were naturally eternal so long as their defects from their creation were removed.

After all, a perfect homunculus is essentially a man-made artificial extension of nature that, external factors aside, will not die for as long as the planet is healthy and has mana left.

While pondering on the women's decision, Jun activated the Akashic Gate and traveled back to DxD, settling in on his Kuoh residence before deciding to start making some moves. He told the girls he'd be back one week later so he still had that week.

He had made a serious amount of money quite easily thanks to his golden rule skill so he set about buying the unused buildings and land around his place so he could rebuild them into a veritable palace like mansion who'd double as a fortress.

He also used his Daemonic Apocrypha to calculate some good investments and put some money into them so as to increase his fortune.

Jun then deployed city wide bounded fields as he had done in Fuyuki and, since no faction was currently holding this town, he got away with it quite easily.

The mansion was them built with his original workshop becoming the core and a huge compound was set up. A bounded field guided people away from the area and stopped others from noticing the changes.

Multiple workshops for all kinds of disciplines, golem manufacturing facilities and automata building ones, etc. Jun wanted a standing army.

With all of this set up and his week about to end, Jun returned to his other house to greet the boys and girls.

"Jun! You're back!" Valia was the one he met first.

"I kinda miss the times you cutely called me Ju-san." Jun teased as he hugged her and kissed her lips making her furiously blush.

"Ju-san . . ." She called in a whisper before Cleria showed herself. Apparently she had decided to come here and introduce herself right when Jun decided to leave.

The Devil Servant immediately jumped on him and they both fell into a jealousy inducing deep kiss. The others which came soon after came to see this jealousy inducing scene for the girls who were seeing their boyfriend being kissed and for the guys who could only envy Jun's luck with women.

Jun greeted every single one of them, and kissed his much missed girlfriends. Nothing much had changed as he was technically only gone for a week so while they all terribly missed him, for them, he was truly not gone for long but they were still more proactive in seeking his affection.

This was Cleria's doing as she had shared with copious details, her relationship with Jun which made the other girls want to do more to guarantee and place in his heart. There was not time to fight amongst themselves, they had to make sure to leave their mark on Jun's heart before new arrivals took their own place.

Jun remodeled that home as well although not to the same degree, focusing on upgrading the bounded fields rather than physical expansion of which he did nothing.

After that, he decided to return to Kuoh to keep working on his own things, he decided to make strengthening elixirs for the DxD girls and boys as well since they could greatly benefit from them, focused on boosting their physical parameters without any sort of special effect since they were still quite normal when compared to what Jun was used to.

After that, he would focus on building his new creations with the materials from his own body and the treasure stored in his Aurea Poculum.

First was the materials harvested from his previous body but unfortunately, even though he had the vision, he lacked the means, time and resources to accomplish it. It was to be the way of recovering the draconic powers he lost and grow even further while attaining an even greater potential but . . .

Even for the current him, such a thing would take countless calculation and many resources which he currently lacked, not to mention he needed to build up his vessel. While it was limitless in potential, it required actual training to let it grow after all.

His vessel as already made and expanded to the limit to handle his current self, adding more would be either useless or suicidal so he needed training, the masochistic and utterly despair inducing kind and Jun knew where to get it but he would leave that for later.

For now, his job was to build the core of the Tower of Babel. After pouring countless resources from his Aurea Poculum, refining them until only the purest of essences was left behind, Jun shaped them with Phantasmal Origin around Aurea Poculum ANd PEccatum Aurum which were basically one and the same.

The end result was a golden two pronged lache with a handle between the to halves. Each half resembled many of the artistic depictions of the Tower of Babel but its form was sleeker and shaper to work better as a weapon.

With this, the offensive form of Aurea Poculum, named Peccatum Aurum, turned from a golden sword into a two pronged golden lance. with much greater powers and special abilities.

Since the requirements for the Tower of Babel were very stringing though, Jun had toons upon tons of leftover materials along with a lot more unused ones. While he was saving the best of the best for his project to regain his draconic powers, he still and much treasure left.

These materials would now be used to reconstruct Domina Coronam.

Its form would be two fold, a item for Jun to wear that would serve as the control for a mobile fortress city which would be Domina Coronam's true form. The control item, would be the Ten Rings of Solomon, mixed with a couple of other stuff but they would be the basis.

With that decided, it was time to get to work.
