5 Chapter 4

Resting in bed after my first magecraft lesson, I go over everything that happened. My origins, my elements, that mysterious energy and finally, what I saw at the end of my origin/element test. I know what that was, the real question is how did I not realise sooner, no it doesn't matter it would not have made a difference. When I arrived in this world before I got this body, I saw it, among the Kaleidoscope of colours the dark void that tried to suck me in.

The Root, Akasha, the beginning and the end, regardless of what you call it, it doesn't change what it is, and the significances of contacting the root, all mages know what that means and what it represents. True magic. A power that can only be described as a miracle, a power that defies logic, a feat considered impossible by the masses, but achievable through the power of a miracle. This miraculous power is exactly what I obtained when I entered this world when I encountered the root.

As for the power I obtained, it revolves around illusions, to be exact the domain for this power is the interchanging of illusions and reality, and changing them as I wish as well as blurring the line between what's real and what's illusion.

In a nutshell it's the reality stone from Marvel, awesome, yes, powerfull, definitely, am I immediately going to start changing the world to how I want, no, why, three reasons, one, Gaia and Alaya, two, the counterforce and three, just cause I have the power to do it doesn't mean I can, the best way I can explain it is like getting a new skill in an RPG. a level one skill isn't gonna do incredible things no matter how powerful.

An example is a lever one fire skill can create a flame equil to a candle and so on. Now this doesn't mean their on the same lever, that's a low level skill while this is a high quality one, the difference is astronomical but the concept is similar. while this power is incredible it will take a long time till I can master it. Take Aoko Aozaki when she saved Soujuurou, she had to take ten years of his time to move herself ten years forward gaining that ten years of experience to save him, by moving the five minute period that he dies far of into the far, far future, having said that if she wasn't careful she could have caused the heat death of the universe. See it took ten years of training to pull of that feat.

At present what I can do with it is essentially the Izanagi and Izanami from Naruto and the thing Thanos did with the reality stone in the Avengers. At my current level I need to create a domain in the area I'm doing it in to do it easier, kind of like a reality marble, I can to it without the domain but a lot harder, like comparing 25+25 to 25×25 so yeah, I can do it but you know what they say master the basics and go from there, afterall I'd rather not accidentally cause the heat death of the universe cause I tried to do something beyond my lever and screwed up. Testing my current power I changed my room a bit, my approximate 2x2 plane room is now approximately 5x5, snowing, and feels like a warm summer day, how, cause magic, literally. From my basic test I have got a basic idea of what I can do, I can't create or destroy anything however I am capable of changing the form of matter however I what, from energy to matter and matter to energy, I cannot create life but I can alter it however I want. How do I know this we'll my body currently looks like a teenager, yep I altered my age, not only that, if my missing body part and larger breasts are anything to go by, it's not just inorganic matter that I can alter but organic matter as well. After restoring everything back to normal, I decide to test the other thing I noticed, when I passed mana through my magic circuits I felt another energy different from mana. Feeling for that energy, I easily find it and send it through my circuits and the results are immediate, the world around me slows down, no it's the opposite, it's not the world slowing down, it's me speeding up. Speed force, that's what that energy is, however unlike the flash there's no lightning, or lights, instead it's more like a cloak of shadows around my body, not only that it feels like I have left the world, like I'm still here but not, I wonder what it is, looking at the time it's almost midnight, so doing what any kid with super powers does, I immediately go to test them. Sneaking out of the house I look for a good place to start, looking at the garden I decide to just run from here. Getting into a good starting position I start up my circuits and start flowing speed force, just like before everything starts slowing down, then, I run. Through the door, down the street, past the bridge, pumping more and more speed force I get faster and faster, I have already left Fuyuki and it hasn't even been ten seconds yes. After enjoying the feeling of running so fast for a while I eventually stop, looking back I expect to see the damage caused by the sonic boom, but instead of shattered windows and torn up concrete everything's fine, even my clothes look fine. This makes no sense, I was easily breaking the sound barrier there has to have been a sonic boom, but nothing, this makes no sense. Wait, that feeling, when I activated the speed force I felt like something was shifting, maybe something really was shifting, and that something was me. The best answer I can come up with is that I have partially moved onto a different texture of reality, maybe some kind of speed texture that nullifys the side effects, but wait I got this speed force outside the the fateverse, so maybe it's not some planetary texture, but a universal texture or even a multiverse texture. It would explain how a speedster can easily break the sound barrier without causing a sonic boom and destroying stuff all the time. however I haven't completely left the current texture, it's more like I partially shifted, which protects from wind pressure, this is all just theory right now and I would have to research into it more, but the logic is sound.

To explain what textures of reality are, the textures are layers of reality which wrap around the planet's surface, the current textures are the 'present world' that is bound by the laws of physics in which humans currently live and the Reverse Side of the World beneath it which runs off mystery, we're magical creatures, phantasmal beast and gods have gone to as they are beings which rely on mystery to survive. Another feature of textures is that they a held to the world by linchpin's that keep the textures bound to the planet, an example is the tower that stands at the world's end Rhongomyniad, which keeps the outer texture of the world the 'present world' affixed to the world. Fun fact my magic allows me the blur the line between reality and illusions, changing reality as I wish through illusions, well the present world can be considered reality and the reverse side can be considered illusion, meaning when I master my magic a bit I can swap the reverse side and the present world at will.

Ending my experiment for the day, I run back home, thank God I remember the way, sort of, well I got back eventually, went back to my room to go to sleep, and prepare for tomorrow, now I just have to decide weather to tell Kiritsugu about my speed and magic or not. Who am I kidding, I have to tell him, he could probably give me good ideas, plus it would be a pain to hide it from him if we live together, now I just need to come up with a story to tell him to explain them. Oh well that's tomorrow me's problem, good night.
