Chapter 44

Right now we're sitting in a barbecue restaurant. To my right is Arcueid, Across from her is Altrouge and across from me is Asagami Fujino.

This happened because after I realised who she was, where I am, as well as what's going to happen. I decided to get involved.

First I stopped her and brought her with us. We are currently sitting in the restaurant, waiting for our food.

"First, nice to meet you. Now do you have any idea why I brought you with us"

In a voice I can barely hear she mumbled back .

"No"

"I see. First, that must be a lot of pain your in"

At that she almost jumps from her seat, looking at me in shock.

"How, did you, know"

"I know a lot of things. First the cause of your pain is appendicitis. because if it, your in constant pain. Second, you posess a very powerful set of mystic eyes. The mystic eyes of distortion. Among mystic eyes they are among the most powerful and destructive, allowing their wielder to distort and bend anything they can see"

"I see"

"No,w first I'm going to fix your appendicitis"

As I say that I snap my fingers.

"Done. Now as for your mystic eyes, I can offer you two choices. First, I can tell that measures were taken to seal all of your ability's. So I'm offering to re-seal them, however with my seal, you won't loose you senses, so you can still feel things. Or second, I can place restraints on you. You will still possess all of your magic and mystic eyes, however their power will be greatly reduced"

Hearing my words, she looks down, thinking about my offer.

While waiting our food arrives, which we immediately start cooking. I have to say, seeing Fou using his paws to work the tongs and cook his own meat is absolutely adorable. Fujino, seeing us eating, also puts some meat on to cook. After our meat is cooked we all eat it.

"Damn, this is delicious, I'm doing this again"

"Yeah, this is delicious"

"Told you it was good Altrouge, what do you think Arcueid"

"This is very good. It's my first time eating this, the fact that we cook it is quite interesting"

"Foufou"

While we eat our food, Fujino finally talks.

"What did you mean when you said restraints"

Hearing her, I try to figure out the best way to explain it.

"Look out side, do you see that bridge"

At that everyone of us look out to the giant bridge. The very same bridge that she wrecks in the anime.

"Right now, if you used your mystic eyes at 100% on that bridge, what do you think would happen"

Hearing my question, she once again looks down, thinking. After about a minute she finally looks up and responds.

"Maybe, a few, beams, will fall out"

Hearing her answer I almost laugh.

"No. Those mystic eyes are among the most destructive mystic eyes in the world. Even when wielded by someone as inexperienced as you. They are simply that powerful. At your current level, if you were to use them on that bridge at max power. That bridge would be destroyed. It would collapse into pieces. Basically beyond repair, It would take months maybe years to fix. Now do you understand how dangerous those eyes, no you are, Why your magic was sealed"

"Then why"

"What"

"Why don't you seal my power again, or kill me. If I'm that dangerous, then why don't you"

"Because your also a victim. You were born with power. Power you can't control, power you don't understand. My offer it to let you ether forget this ever happened, and go back to how things were. Or, learn to use this power you were born with, to understand it, slowly"

"If I chose the restraints, what would happen"

"I would set up several layers of restraints our you. Once you have mastered your power at each level the restraint will release on their own. By the time all restraints are off you will be able to freely control you power. The biggest difference by then will be, if your max now is destroying the bridge. After you would be able to destroy this whole city. Having said that, I will have you sign a geas. If you ever, say, go berserk and stark randomly killing people, destroying stuff, you know, just become a total sociopath. You power will be completely sealed. No exception"

"So what do you choose"

With no answer, we all sit in silence, eating this delicious food. After an hour, two serves each and desert we all leave the restaurant. As we leave Fujino finally gives her response.

"Please place the restraints"

"Very well"

'Snap'

With that the restraints are in place, at her current level, she can at most barley destroy ba car, but she will only get stronger from here. I also make the geas scroll, which I pass to her.

"Sigh that with your blood"

Without question she signs the geas with her blood.

After finishing everything off we honour seperate ways. About half way back to the hotel, Altrouge asks my why.

"Why did you help her, what do you get out of it"

"Nothing"

"I get nothing out of it. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not a magus, I don't do things only for benefits. She needed help, I could help her so I did. It's as simple as that. It doesn't affect me negatively I'm any way so why not"

It seems both vampires are shocked by my words. Not surprising, considering in the moonlit world, no, in the world in general. People don't do thing without getting something for it. There's always a motive and some form of compensation.

We finally get back to the hotel. After returning to the room, I get out the paper with the number I need to call. As I'm about bro call I look at the time, 10:00. While I can guarantee she will pick up, I'll just leave it till morning

Sitting on the couch inturn on the tv, the first thing to show up is ironically a vampire movie. Looking to the two camp next to me I ask something that's been bothering me for a while.

"I'm curious about something. Whats the difference between true ancestors and dead apostle's. Also how can you walk in the sun without being affected"

At my question, Arcueid and Altrouge look to each other before back to me. After a bit of thinking Arcueid finally gets ready to speak up.

"The first difference is that, while we may be similar, in that we can drink blood and theoretically live forever, that where the main similarly ends"

"What do you mean"

"Well for starters, unlike dead apostle's who if they don't consume enough blood dissapeaer, unless killed we will never die"
