"What do you mean not exist?" The only other boy besides Julius, Ritsuka Fujimaru, was puzzled by what had happened so quickly in his life.

Like a good charlatan from a Mysteries pathway, Julius wasted no time in coming up with the bullshit that sounded convincing enough that no one would suspect.

"It is related to my magecraft. According to my assumptions, since I can travel between dimensions the World tries to avoid paradoxes similar to me finding myself." He blatantly lied. "Fate works strangely, and it was probably already written that I could get this ability, so I only exist in a single timeline."

Of course, the reality was that he didn't exist in other timelines because he came from a completely different universe.

"I still don't understand how something like traveling through dimensions can be magecraft and not True Magic." Olga Marie commented, as she had returned to her bad mood from before seeing Rin.

Julius shrugged. "Second Magic can do something similar, albeit in a much more versatile way. I haven't gotten to Root after all."

Rin sighed. "Anyway, is it possible that you know where exactly we are?"

This time it was Mash who answered.

"We have named this timeline as Singularity F, although it is not entirely correct to call it a timeline." She explained. "Basically we need to destroy this Singularity since it can cause disturbances and fluctuations in time which spread out through history like a wave, creating smaller Singularities to emerge at other points in time. For this, we need to recover the Holy Grail that strengthens this timeline. "

"I see, so the first thing we have to do is locate this Grail." Julius scratched his chin. "Do you have any idea where to start?"

"We'll start by setting up a summoning circle and having Fujimaru summon a Servant, he'll help us while we investigate." Olga Marie then looked at Mash. "We will use your Noble Phantasm as a catalyst."

Both Ritsuka and Mash nodded in agreement.

Then, the white-haired girl created a large magic circle that would serve to summon a heroic spirit.

"This is the same as the summoning experiment chamber in Chaldea." Mash commented.

Suddenly, all of them heard a voice that seemed to come out of nowhere.

"Hello? Hello?" Said the voice of a young man. "Okay, the connection is back! Good job, you secured the connection. Now we can communicate again, and even send rations."

Olga Marie seemed to get more enraged than she already was, listening to this man. "Huh? Why are you running the show, Romani? What about Leff? Where's Leff? Put Leff on!"

Rin looked at the girl unsure because of her strange obsession with this man named Leff. Julius, on the other hand, knew why she was acting like that.

"Waaaaaahhh!" Romani screamed in fright. "D-Director, you're alive? And you're unharmed?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" The girl followed up with her verbal onslaught. "Where's Leff? What's the head medic doing in charge?"

The doctor sighed sadly. "Don't ask me why. I'm fully aware that I'm not cut out for this job."

Then his voice became more serious.

"But there's nobody else, Olga Marie. Currently, the surviving full-time staff of Chaldea is less than twenty people, including me." He explained. "The reason I'm in charge of operations is because there's no one ranked higher than me who survived."

"What the hell happened in this Chaldea you speak of?" Rin seemed shocked at how there seemed to have been an accident that wiped out a lot of probably talented people.

Romani was surprised to hear her voice. "Huh? Who spoke? Is there anyone else there with you?"

"What do you mean, can't you feel the magical energy from them?" Olga Marie questioned.

"No, it's like there's no one by your side right now..." Romani wondered what he had done wrong in his life to have such a day.

"Oh, I forgot to turn off [Disruption]." Julius had been keeping the ability activated for himself and Rin since he didn't want them to be detected by someone like Leff Leinur. 'Hm, I hadn't noticed until now, but it seems that my body has adapted to using mana, I guess this is a demonstration that I will become less and less human if I continue advancing in the Sequences.'

"Ah, now they've come up on the radar." Romani confirmed that there were, in fact, two new presences that had appeared out of nowhere. 'One of the two is a monster, I'd think he's a Servant instead of a magus.'

However, he knew better than to leave Chaldea's Director unanswered.

"Dr. Leff was supervising from the Command Room. There's no way he could survive that blast." At Romani's words, Olga Marie's eyes widened in horror.

"No way, Leff..." She felt tears coming to her eyes so she quickly decided to change the subject. "No, forget that, you said less than 20 survivors. What about the Master candidates?"

"All in critical condition. We might be able to save a few, but all of them might be..."

She raised her voice. "Don't be ridiculous! Cryopreserve them immediately! Think about reviving them later. Just don't let them die!"

"I forgot coffins had those functions! I'll get on it right away!" The connection was cut an instant later.

'From here the real problems will begin.' Julius thought and looked at Rin. 'I'd rather not get involved in something so dangerous, but right now it seems like we don't have a choice. At the very least, I'll make sure no one dies until we figure out how to get back to our world.'
