"They're here," said Batman as a Zeta tube opened, revealing Adam, Beast Boy, Megan, and Connor, done with their mission. Adam revealed that he and his Ranian friend had managed to create a Zeta tube barrier, locking Aliens from invading Earth through that. It was Megan who showed everyone what had happened in Rimbor, the planet that the missing leaguers went to; the leaguers went on a sixteen-hour rampage. 

"I don't remember any of this," said Wonder Woman, clearly shocked and saddened by her actions. Raiden put his hand on her shoulder as he comforted her and said, "It's not your fault; it was Savage's fault. Don't blame yourself."

"We'll deal with that later, Megan. I have something I want to show you. Come with me," said Batman. Megan nodded and said, "Yes," but before the two left, Raiden said, "I need to tell you something as well." Batman nodded and said, "Come with us then, you too, Connor."

Batman led the trio to an interrogation room, where Martian Manhunter had been interrogating one of the Krolotean Generals.

"We're trying to extract information about their base. This is the Krolotean that was captured by Gamma Squad. Your uncle has been interrogating him for days without progress, simply achieving," said Batman. Raiden spoke up as he said, "I might have a solution for that." But Megan, in an attempt to impress Batman, used her psychic abilities on the Krolotean, saying, "The Kroloteans have an emergency rendezvous point and have standing orders in case of discovery to evacuate there. The base is inside a volcano on Melina Island."

"Megan! What have you done?" said Raiden as he looked at the Krolotean drool on himself, his mind completely blank. "You just fried his brain!"

"I had to do what's necessary to extract the information out of him. First, it was Connor, and now you two?" said Megan, angered a bit by Raiden's reaction. Connor had been pestering her about using her ability to extract information for months now, and she didn't think Raiden would take his side.

"I don't care about the damn Krolotean's health; I care about the information! Tell me, Megan, who is the competitor to the Kroloteans?" Everyone was confused by Raiden's question, to which Raiden showed them his belt that had a circular item. "This device translates any language to the user's preference, Citadel tech. When I took down the Kroloteans in Cape Town, one of them mentioned that they were exposed by a competitor."

"I was going to use this device to translate their language and make them tell me about the competitor, but it's impossible now." Hearing that, Megan realized her mistake and said, "I'm sorry I didn't realize that you had planned to do this."

"*Sigh* I guess it's fine. Just make sure to capture one of them on Malina Island. That way, we can interrogate one of them," said Raiden, to which Megan nodded.

"You didn't tell me about such a device. If you have more, I'll buy it as well," said Batman, referring to the fact that Raiden had sold him many devices he stole from the pirate in space. "Sorry, I can't sell you this, as I have only three of them, one for each of my companions. However, I'm willing to lend it to you for a short period of time. Maybe you can replicate the technology," said Raiden.

Melina Island

…

"Remember, this is a recon mission. We need to figure out the Kroloteans' plans before we strike them down," said Batman.

"Approaching Drop Zone Beta," said Nightwing, as the team went into stealth mode. Aquaman and Lagoon Boy jumped from the ship to the ocean. The Martian duo of uncle and niece phased through the ship. The Bat family (Batman, Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl) and Raiden were dropped off by the ship.

"Throne of Heroes, Bond 10 Selection. Hundred Faces Hassan."

Picking his servant, Raiden's body transformed into that of a shadowy figure, cloaked with a dark hood and holding two knives in hand.

"My Master, The Army of Shadows is under your command," Raiden sneaked inside the volcano containing the Krolotean Base as he started to scout the area.

"Raiden to Squad, I have visual on the Kroloteans. They're somehow in a hurry, but… Black Manta is with them. He's helping them for some reason," Raiden started to get close to the ship, but before he got close enough, Black Manta suddenly started blasting his laser in the water, and his troops started shooting at Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing.

"We've been exposed," said Nightwing on the comms. Raiden started his attack, helping the team. He dropped down on two Manta soldiers, drop-kicking one of them before taking the other out from under. He then jumped on another group, surprising them too. One tried to shoot him, but he only found smoke as Raiden emerged from behind him, almost snapping his neck. 'I suppose I shouldn't kill them; I have no clue if they're truly evil or forced to be this way. Then again, I also don't want trouble with the league this early into my return to Earth.'

"WAK WAK WAHHH" screamed one of the Kroloteans as they started to board their spider Mechs. 'Unlike last time, there's tens of them here,' thought Raiden as he continued to beat the hell out of Manta's men. He then jumped towards the Mechs and maneuvered towards the pod. He managed to take out the Krolotean, but he was hit with another Mech's legs and sent flying. "Tsk, damn it, I'll need backup at this point. We are all as one, and one as all. A shadow with a hundred variations… Go, Zabaniya!"

Hundreds of cloaked figures emerged all around the volcano. Some were large, some were slim, some were females, and some were males. An army of assassins.

"You, you, and you, go recon the underground," said Raiden to one of his clones as he went back to battle.

The three Raidens went underground as they slid through a small tunnel. There, they found a shadowy figure. The three attacked him immediately. One of the figures tried to kick it, but it was grabbed by the figure and slammed to the ground. The man was strong. "Interesting? Meat that can clone itself," he then finished it up by attacking the clone in the face as it dissipated in darkness. He turned to the other two, blasting one with some dark laser and then attacking the other with his fists, eliminating all of them.

As Raiden and the team continued to destroy the Kroloteans' Mechs, Superman, Superboy, Wonder Woman, and Wonder Girl came rushing in to help, easing the elimination of the Mechs substantially.

"Enemy is attempting Escape," said Nightwing as he directed everyone to Black Manta and his men escaping. Black Manta hit Aquaman with a laser,

 pushing him away.

"What? Three are dead. Who was that? I didn't even get a good look at him," thought the main Raiden as he finally figured out that he lost three Assassins. 'Rendezvous with me; we're going to the location the other Mes got taken down. Superman and the others can handle it here.' Raiden quickly recalled the assassins, all to the place he lost the other three, sliding down as his army followed. However, when he reached there, he didn't find the shadowy figure, as he had already escaped, leaving Raiden and the Justice League a gift. "A bomb."

Lagoon quickly distracted Black Manta with his raging attack, enough for Aquaman to smash Manta's face and mask off, revealing the face of the man behind the mask, Kaldur.

"I had not believed Nightwing until this moment," spoke Aquaman, as Kaldur screamed back, "You did not want to believe him!"

"None of us wanted to believe this! How could you betray us?" spoke Connor, but he was quickly shut down as Kaldur said, "YOU DARE QUESTION ME! After all of you let Tula Die!"

"Kaldur, that was a mission; Aquagirl knew the risks! No one—" before Nightwing could continue to persuade Kaldur, Lagoon jumped in. "Neptune's beard! Don't talk to this traitor! He's joined forces with our king's greatest enemy!"

"Do you mean the King who hid from the true identity of my father?" said Kaldur, to which Aquaman admitted, "That was my error in judgment, Kalduram! No one else needs to suffer for it."

"All will suffer if Black Manta demands it! Blood is thicker than seawater," Kaldur then released a small rocket from his suit, knowing that Superman would come and block it. He used the smoke to escape through a small tunnel to the underground.

…

Sliding down, Kaldur was about to escape before a knife was pointed at his neck. "Long time no see, old friend," spoke Raiden.

"Raiden, I had heard that you returned," spoke Kaldur, to which Raiden smiled and said, "I'm interested. How did this happen? Why did my team leader become a villain?"

Kaldur formed blades from water and defended himself against the knife as Raiden stepped back. "Relax, I'm not here to fight you, Kaldur."

"You have no idea what I've been through, Raiden! I've lost too much to care about justice and the team," spoke Kaldur. Raiden thought for a second. 'Did I misjudge this? The Raiden I left on the top witnessed his interaction with Aquaman and the team; he seemed too spiteful. I don't know who this Tula is… But is it possible that he truly became evil?'

Before Raiden could continue his train of thought, Nightwing dropped down. "So it's you, old friend," said Kaldur, but the one who answered was Connor who dropped behind him. "No, it's a regular reunion special."

"Fine, you can take me down, or you can save everyone from this bomb. I'm told it's quite impressive," said Kaldur. The one to make the first move was Connor, but he was easily taken down by Kaldur who electrified him.

"You have two minutes." Kaldur then jumped towards his ship, starting his escape. "I could catch up to him… But I'll trust him for now," said Raiden. He then turned to the bomb and said, "This is an alien bomb. I don't know how strong it is, but I might be able to turn into a servant capable of absorbing its impact."

"Let me take it out instead," said Connor, who got up scratching his neck. "No! It might have pressure or motion sensors! All squads, evacuate; we have a bomb."

Raiden's shadows started to dissipate as he joined the Bat family and the others in their escape. The last one to leave was Superman who tried to convince the Kroloteans to leave, but they didn't listen, which led to the island exploding and Superman getting injured.

Aquaman went to bring Superman to the ship. Raiden looked around then said, "Megan? Did you capture any of them?" to which Megan shook her head and said, "No, I wasn't able to, but me and Uncle John managed to blend in as some of them and extracted information from their base."

"I doubt it would have information about their competitor, though. That's the main issue," Raiden started to think before he said, "The main issues… The Main… The Main Man! Lobo!"

Batman looked at Raiden with intrigue as he asked, "Did you figure something out?" to which Raiden nodded and said, "I don't know who the competitor is, but I'm pretty sure of one thing: they must be a global galactic level threat. Lobo was paid to attack one of the Kroloteans. Lobo doesn't take offers where a fight isn't interesting unless the pay is good, and good pay for Lobo is not some cheap change. Lobo demands billions, and the ones that could afford such prices are always the big organizations of the galaxy: the Citadel, Daxam Dominators, Apokalips. Either one of these, or an organization of that level."

"Whoever they are, I have a feeling it's up to you and the team to figure that out," spoke Batman.
