"Is this really necessary?" said Raiden as he looked at the league members under him, specifically the six members who are accused of committing crimes on Rimbor. He was sitting on a rock; their current location was the beach outside Mount Justice.

"We have to clear out our names and clear the Justice League's name," spoke Batman, responding to Raiden's question. He was bidding farewell to his allies, the Bat Family. Wonder Woman did the same as she said her goodbyes to Cassie (Wonder Girl). Hawkman insisted on following his wife, Hawkwoman. Superman said goodbyes to Connor, whilst Martian Manhunter did the same to Megan.

"You know that this is what the Light wants, right? We have unidentified aliens on Earth who are allying with the Justice League's biggest nemesis. Yet, one of the most important members of the League are going to space," said Raiden. The one to reply was Superman, who said, "Some of us have a reputation to uphold. The people cannot think their saviors are wanted criminals."

"*Sigh* As long as you keep the people safe, why would they care about your reputation? Well, it doesn't matter. It's not like you'll listen anyway," said Raiden before he turned his head to Green Lantern John and added, "John, tell the Guardians to make sure it goes smoothly, or it's over for the Lantern Corps."

'I'm pushing it with this Guardian blackmail, but it needs to happen. I doubt I'm powerful enough to face the Light and some alien invasion on my own. I must grow stronger,' thought Raiden.

"No need. The Guardians have already sent Hal and Guy ahead to make sure everything goes smoothly," spoke John. Raiden felt somewhat relieved as he said, "That's good to hear."

"Raiden, may I speak with you in private?" spoke Batman. Hearing that, Raiden jumped from the rock he had been sitting on and walked towards Batman. "With those guys here, I doubt this will be private," said Raiden as his eyes turned to the superpowered Leaguers.

"The privacy was just to get your attention. I don't mind them hearing," said Batman. "So, what is it?" asked Raiden.

"Stay with the team," said Batman. Raiden was about to laugh in his face, but Batman cut him off, saying, "Temporarily."

"I'm aware that your mission today was supposed to be your last as a member. And I understand your decision. However, I must ask you to continue working with us, not as a member of the Team, but as a member of the Justice League," Raiden narrowed his eyes before he said, "I refuse to work with the team where my friends are, and you think I'll come to the League?"

"Yes, as a replacement, to us six. Analyzing your abilities against Guy, I believe that you are much stronger than before. As such, I'm entrusting Earth to you," spoke Batman. Raiden opened his eyes wide for a second before saying, "You seem confident. What makes you think I'll do it? You're asking me to act as Earth's guard dog while the owners are gone."

"No, I'm asking you to be Earth's guard dog while the other dogs are gone. There's no one in the world capable of doing it like you. I have faith in you. I may have grievances with your methods, but I trust you to do the right thing, Raiden. I saw what you did in Cape Town and on Malina. You caused a lot of damage, but you didn't kill them. I believe in you," said Batman, to which Raiden said, "If you think I've changed my opinion on killing, then you're wrong. I just simply judged that they didn't deserve it. The only thing that changed was my criteria for killing.

"As for your favor, I will do it. But I won't be taking missions for the League. I'll be available for any emergency, but I need a break. I haven't had a month to myself, man," hearing Raiden, Batman nodded and said, "I understand. The world is big; the Light and the new aliens aren't the only threats on Earth."

"Yeah, yeah, got it. You owe me for this though," said Raiden, to which Batman walked away, saying, "I don't owe you anything. You would have done this regardless. I simply nudged you. After all, you are a hero."

Looking at Batman walk away and hop on John's Plane Construct, Raiden said, "Mr. Know-it-all bastard just used that conversation to prove to Superman that I'm not a threat. Tsk, whatever." Nightwing walked beside Raiden and put his hand on his shoulder as he said, "Wanna go grab a bite? In-N-Out or Wendy's?"

"You bastard, I've just returned from a four-year-long ass journey, and you want to take me to some dumb US junk food place," said Raiden, to which Nightwing laughed and said, "Come on, nothing's better than fast food after not eating it for months. Oh, and I'll introduce you to Batgirl and Robin as well."

"Raiden, this is Barbara, Barbara Gordon. I believe you have already met before when she was acting as Batgirl," said Dick as he introduced Barbara to Raiden. She was in her normal civilian outfit. He then turned to the new Robin and said, "This is Tim, Tim Drake. You also met him when he successfully destroyed the Krolotean Base."

"Indeed, I've met both of them, but I have to say, I'm surprised that they're okay with this. I remember when you were hiding your identity from me. Too bad for you, I used my Assassin servants to stalk you," said Raiden as he pretended that he didn't know it before stalking him with Assassin.

"Yes, I remember, you made 'dick' jokes for three days after that," said Dick as he remembered the terrible jokes by Raiden.

"Anyways, I guess we're so you could ask me about what Batman wanted?" said Raiden as he dug in. He was eating a nice burger; the taste melted in his mouth as his eyes almost watered before saying, "It tastes awful, but damn it does it taste like home."

"Told you it will be good, and by the way, Batman trusts me. I know what he wanted to tell you; I just want to hear it from you," said Dick, to which Raiden raised an eyebrow, saying, "Seriously?"

"Okay, I don't know, enlighten me," said Dick. Raiden finished the burger before he said, "He wants me to be Earth's guard dog." Hearing that, Nightwing opened his eyes as he said, "Will you do it!?"

Barbara and Tim looked confused as they asked respectfully, "What does that mean, Dick? 'Guard Dog'?"

Before Dick could respond, Raiden said, "It means Papa Bat wants me to act as the League's substitute Superman while the real Superman is busy clearing his name." He then turned to Dick and said, "I'll be taking a month break, so only call me for emergencies that you and the League can't handle. I at least deserve a break."

"That means you'll do it! That

's amazing!" said Dick. This made Barbara and Tim even more surprised as they've never seen Dick act that way due to another person's help.

"Not to be rude, but can you handle such a task? Superman is Earth's strongest hero," asked Barbara. Raiden simply smiled as he said, "Trust me, I can handle a lot more than you can think of. As for the other comment, I'm closer to him than he might think."

With Raiden's confident declaration, Tim and Barbara started to question him about himself, so he and Dick started telling the two of them about some of their missions together. In the end, Tim and Barbara grew to respect Raiden, well, Barbara not as much when she heard this.

"So yeah, I'm now dating both of them at the same time, and they've agreed to it," said Raiden as he answered Dick's curiosity as to how he managed to get two girls. "You sly bastard, I'd say congrats and I'm jealous, but I'm not. You kinda look like an asshole now," said Dick, to which Barbara added, "That's worse than an asshole. You! Raven waited four years for you. Do you know how selfish it is to just come back with another woman?"

Raiden looked at the ceiling as he thought, 'Guess I should expect a similar reaction from Artemis, Megan, Zatanna, and Rocket?' before he said, "I'm aware more than anyone about how selfish I am. I have done something that socially isn't acceptable, but nonetheless, I don't care about others' opinions. As long as the girls are okay with it, then I am. I will treat them better than anyone else can."

He then turned to Dick and said, "Also, how can you call me an asshole? How many girls have you messed with without ever getting in a serious relationship?" to which Dick raised his hand and said, "Well, it's different when it comes to me, cause I didn't date two at the same time."

"Now that you reminded me, I have to go home. I have two girls that are waiting for me. As for you, you have a Bat report to make or something. Tsk, why did you even bring that up? The youngsters are going to think badly of me," said Raiden as he left the restaurant.

(A/N: People who are gonna say that he's The league's "slave" and bla bla, you gotta understand, He's a hero, working with them doesn't mean he's their "Slave" Earth is in it's lowest points at this part of the story, if he doesn't cooperate and help the league, than it's going to be in a bad spot, so do understand, that he isn't a "Slave" i thought we established that when he beat a lantern in front of them and was willing to go against superman just because)
