9 Ch 9 : Becoming a Dungeon Master

Ray and the Wolf-pup came out from the portal and arrived in Ray's homeworld.
Ray was glad that the weird thing has been passed, but when he looked at his surrounding, Ray couldn't believe what he sees.
The place that Ray and the Wolf-pup teleported now was not in the cave where Ray's secret hideout is. In fact, the cave had been closed down like it has never been there before, and the two were teleported outside the cave.
There are too many strange things happening here. It will just hurt his brain if he tried to make everything rational.
Since two years ago, when the spiritual awakening started, everything in this world has been turned into shambles. Science stopped to prove anything, and humanity just left there to accept everything there without knowing the reason. They might be able to guess or make some hypothesis, but they know deep down that there were just clueless mortals trying to reach the territory beyond Gods.
Ray patted his dirty clothes and proceeded to stand up. Luckily, his bag which was left behind when he was teleported into that strange plane, was still there. He took a change of clothes inside the bag and brought out two water bottles for him and the Wolf-pup to drink.
"Here, I'll open it up for you."
During the past day, Ray's stamina has been bottomed up by continuous fight, and the Wolf-pup had just awakened from his recent unconscious state. Thus the two really cherished the presence of water.
{ A.N : As an awakener, Ray got some emergency snack bar on his clothes as an emergency, and that is how he replenished his energy after each battle.}
The two were still quenching their thirst when suddenly the articulate voice of a young female appeared once again in Ray's mind.

[ A new mission will be issued.]
[ Place your dungeon core.]
[ As a dungeon master having the dungeon space is a must. Find a suitable location to place your dungeon core.]
[ Rewards: 1-month dungeon protection period.]
[ All the rewards and inventory from the previous mission will be held until the host finished placing the dungeon core.]

*Sigh* A new mission after another. However, Ray didn't really get bothered with this mission.
Why would he get bothered if he actually already had the place of the dungeon on his mind? From the start, there is no better option than this place for Ray to place his dungeon.
' System, I want to place the dungeon core in the previous cave.'
[ DING!!! It was indicated that the host wanted to place the dungeon core in the cave of the beginning. Proceed?Y/N]
' Yes!'
*ZINGGG!!!!!*
A bright light instantly enveloped the cave where Ray's previous hideout was, and when the light has gone out, a dungeon entrance has been generated in front of it.

Damn... Now ray was hesitating whether to just go back to the orphanage or enter the dungeon first.
His body has been exhausted for all that battling in the past day, but he also was pretty curious about what was inside the dungeon. The only problem was, Ray didn't know what mission would wait for him inside.
If it was just a mission like placing the dungeon core, then it would be okay. But if the mission teleported him into another world like before....
*Shivers* Ray got shivered just by imagining that scenario. Repeatably dying and reviving to finish the required task, only a crazed maniac would do that.
With that in mind, Ray had decided to postpone his return to the dungeon and went back to the orphanage first.
' Yes, let's go back first. I'm pretty sure I'm not curious about what's inside. right...'

- Later inside the dungeon -
Ray was standing at the entrance of the dungeon, observing the condition of the room in front of him.
"*Sigh*, after all, I couldn't resist the temptation of visiting the dungeon first. But, it's not my fault, though. Everybody else would also do the same if they were to be faced with this temptation."
The room was a 5x5 room about 3 meters in height. The wall was made of rough rock and decorated with two torches on each side of the wall. A round core was located there in the middle of the room, with a blue glint that makes it seem so mysterious.
[ DING!!! Please place your hand on the dungeon core to register the ownership of the dungeon.]
The articulate voice of a young female appeared once again when Ray entered the dungeon, and now it kept rushing Ray to place his hand on the blue glinted core on the middle of the dungeon.
But Ray didn't rush this time. He chose to take his time slowly observing every corner of the dungeon room before eventually placed his hand on the blue core.
[ DING!!! Energy signature received, Dungeon ownership will be transferred to Ray Sanjaja.]
[ DING!!! The process of transferring the ownership will begin. Please prepare for pain.]
" EH, wait!!!!"
The sudden words of the system startled Ray. He only entered the dungeon because he could not hold back his curiosity, but this system suddenly wanted him to get through all this pain right now?
" OUCH!!!!!"
However, Ray was too late. Before he even could say a word of protest, the painful process has begun, and Ray felt like all around his body was zapped by a high energy voltage.
" OUCH!!!!!"

The painful process took about five minutes before it eventually finished, and Ray proceeded to lump down in the floor.
" Next time tell me something before you begin this process."
