1 FAR APART YET TOO CLOSE
CHAPTER ONE(THE MOVE)
My name is Deborah but popularly know as Debby,well I'll not say popularly only my mom,my dad and some of my friends call me that. We live in a medium sized house,two bedrooms,toilets,and a portable kitchen. This house might not seem like a dream house to you but in my hometown having this type of house was the thing,so I was kinda rich we in my hometown.
Before we get into this ball game let me tell you a little about my family background. My mom is a lawyer but due to some certain circumstances she ended up as a social officer in my home town which was a good paying job there,my Dad one the other hand graduated as an engineer but he will always tell me when he got drunk that since the day he stepped out of school he hasn't seen any job and that is why he did not want me to go to school. He wanted to marry me off to a rich family but thanks to the intervention of my mother who is moreso the bread winner of the family I got to go to school and I was just about to enter into college(university).
My father had a drinking problem and will come home drunk and start telling at anything he sees. Suprisenly for us he came back drunk but happy and excited the unexpected joy could show round his face. He bought alot of roasted meat,juice boxes and told my mom that he appreciates her that he thanks her so much for bringing a daughter like me into existence. He said I'm filled with good luck and riches.
My mother took this as a joke and we all laughted and ate without wondering where he got all that money from. The day went by and night came, I had my bath this was a routine to have my bath three times a day.
I closed my eyes to sleep and I saw my self in another world,wearing an expensive ring,my wedding gown was the prettiest in the world and the background was decorated with white roses,and slowly I matched into the arena and I met a man who was wearing a white mask,I held his hand and I said I do to him. As I was about to kiss him I heard my mom's voice echoing from the background.
