14 Acceptance

Hearing what Haruto said everyone was shocked then quiet especially Messer he wanted to open his mouth to answer back but kept quite the slowly turned around and left. Seeing this Chuck and the other girls comforted him then left while Arad patted his shoulder then left as well.

All that was left in the room was Haruto, Mikumo and unexpectedly Mirage. There was a stifling silence in the room. Mirage finally spoke first "um Haruto you are you and that feeling you have is not you, I just want to let you know that I believe that you are not some monster and also the way you flew back there was gorgeous and I hope to see you fly again" then slowly walked out leaving Haruto and Mikumo alone.

Seeing that Haruto being silent Mikumo walked in front of him and crouched down to reach eye level with him "Haruto I don't think of you as a monster". Haruto's eyes started trembling as his dim eyes started to regain more light. She reached out for his hand and rested it on her cheeks "you are who you are, kind, caring and gentle under that calm exterior this is what I like about you and nothing will change that fact".

His heart was trembling badly as he felt his eyes getting moist and blurry, speaking with slight trembles in his voice " I'm happy really really happy hearing say this mikumo but you said you liked me because I was kind, caring and gentle but would you still like me that I'm only like that when I'm with you if I was with somebody else I wouldn't be as kind I was only like that because I wanted to get close to you, the real me is ugly and hypocritical selfish coward who wouldn't give a damn about others".

Facing his confession she was at first sad then happy "my answer would answer no" said Mikumo resolutely. Haruto felt his heart beating in pain just as he wanted to ask her to leave. She continued "but after meeting you my answer is yes, you said you are only showing your good side to me to get me to like you and you wouldn't have if it were others that shows that if you did not like me would you have been bothered to even show that side at all". Closing her eyes as she rubbed her cheeks against his hands.

"you showed that to me because you like me it means they are not fake, even though we haven't spent much time together but on the night before we went to al shahal was one of the few happiest times I have had in my life in my entire life I have never had anyone care for me and spending time with me" mikumo said sadly.

"When I first met you and found out that you can't remember, all alone and questioning your existence I felt as though I found a kindred spirit. I only remember that my memory starts 3 years ago and that's it. I don't know who I am or where I came from other than singing I have nothing after each battle or after practice I have nothing else to do, my world seems so dull and all my meals are always the same nothing ever changes. Haruto was extremely moved, after experiencing those 6 months of despair and seeing the eyes full of care and love that only one person that he has seen with those eyes, his mother Aiko. he used to think those eyes only belonged to mothers but no he was just wrong those eyes only belong to people who really care about him all those 'family' and 'friends' never cared about him in the first place.

Even though when he first came here seeing all the people in the anime were real especially Mikumo he was overjoyed as he thought was the most beautiful character of them all but meeting in person was different as she is much more beautiful than depicted.

When he didn't see her during his training he felt disappointed but when he found her naked that night he knew he was in his feelings wasn't just cause of her beauty but also her personality and care and with each passing day his feelings for her had grown deeper and deeper.
