Prologue: Encountering the Daoists of the Otherworld (part 3)

As soon as he finished saying that, the youth then utilized one of his ability as a higher-order Demon; the Evil-Eyes of Hypno-submission.

The Evil-eyes of hypno-submission was a psyche-attack that enslaves the individual receiving the effects as long as the attacker had casted his eyes on the other party's eyes for only a fraction of a second.

The youth had intended to utilize this great ability of his to enslave people from the otherworld to improve his future plans for espionage.

That way, things may become easier in the long run as long as he had a companion he can trust like a loyal slave when he socializes with the people of the otherworld.

Even though the youth was still inside the barrier, it didn't block any of his abilities when he made his move on Wu Hong.

Wu Hong's body froze the moment the Evil-eyes of hypno-submission took effect. However, Wu Hong immediately retaliated. He let out a loud roar into the night sky as he understood that his mind was about to be controlled.

In a fraction of a second, he used his Qi along with his sheer will-power the moment he was about to be enslave by the evil-eyes. Thus, blocking the effects.

The youth detected this and knew that his evil-eyes was being blocked. But he did not panic. With his long experiences, he knew many ways to deal with this situation.

In another fraction of a second, the youth took a piece of his consciousness and turned it into a wisp of mind with his mental energy. He sent that wisp of mind directly into Wu Hong's mind after diving through the middle of his forehead.

The wisp of mind encountered some obstacles as it tries to invade but since Wu Hong's will-power was solely focusing on blocking the effects of the evil-eyes, he didn't detect that there was a wisp of mind invading and there was no further trouble after passing through the obstacles with ease.

With the wisp of mind directly invading into Wu Hong's mind, a small world burning in scorching flames was open within. Once the wisp finally entered, it looked around and saw Wu Hong's Mindscape and was extremely baffled by it.

The youth had seen many types of people's mindscapes. There were even many unique distinctions especially comparing the mindscape of a human's and a demon's.

But it was all the same. The mindscape would be a calm pond that would ripple endlessly from time to time with the consciousness of the person floating on its surface.

However, Wu Hong's mindscape was burning in flames as if it was a pond of gasoline that got lit up.

Floating above that pond of flames were four eye-dazzling orbs align symmetrically in a square formation.

Observing with great interest, the wisp discovers that these four eye-dazzling orbs were the virtual essences of Wu Hong's entire being; the consciousness, the body, the spirit and the soul.

One of the orbs that exuded vigorous mental energy was Wu Hong's consciousness. It was sky-blue in color with two strings of auras both black and white, wriggling and squirming about within it.

Immediately detecting Wu Hong's consciousness, the wisp did not bother observing further and rushed to suppress Wu Hong's consciousness.

"Woosh!" The wisp of mind sent a wave of its mental energy filled powerful, malicious, demonic intentions to suppress Wu Hong's consciousness.

Wu Hong, who was busy blocking the effects of the evil eyes, suddenly realizes something amiss but was too late as the powerful, malicious, demonic intentions already came to completely overwhelmed him.

He felt like he was facing one of the mythical monsters who brought disasters and terrors towards the world inside his head.

The monster gazed down at his tiny self and grinned with his saber-long fangs. Its malicious, demonic intentions that it exuded made it powerfully clear that it wanted to chew him alive.

Instantly filled with terror, Wu Hong's mind could not summon the will power to retaliate. Immediately unblocking the effects of the Evil-eyes of Hypno-submission.

With the effects of the Evil-eyes, Wu Hong's mind was suddenly clouded. His eyes lost focus as it glinted crimson light and his expression became extremely solemn.

Wu Hong then looked at the youth in front of him and immediately bowed. He then asked. "Your wish, my Liege?"

Seeing Wu Hong bow so subserviently to the youth, brother Che was greatly shocked.

With great concern, he asked Wu Hong. "Hey, what's wrong with you all of the sudden?"

Brother Chen did saw but didn't know why Wu Hong was suddenly roaring to the sky. He didn't even know that Wu Hong's mind was being controlled by the effects of the evil-eyes. Thus, he was full of questions to why he suddenly bowed to the youth like a servant meeting his master.

But Wu Hong did not reply. He just kept his head low as he waits for the youth's order.

His silence only scared brother Chen even more. He looked at the youth, seemingly wanting to know what he did.

Not taking a glance at the anxious brother Chen, the youth said.

"You didn't saw what I did. I guess that can't be helped. Hence, I'll tell you this, I hypnotized him into submission using my ability. Thus, he is my slave for the moment."

"You... your slave?! You enslaved him? How?!" Brother Chen was greatly alarmed. Realizing this straight away, he became even more wary towards the youth.

"Not telling." The youth responded with a shrug. He shifted his attention from him to Wu Hong. "Go put a thick barrier like that around that girl over there."

Wu Hong nodded silently and faced towards the girl. He then raised both hands in incantation and erected a thick barrier around the girl.

Seeing Wu Hong following the youth's order without hesitation, brother Chen was instantly terrified.

The technique the youth use to hypnotized was undetectable, quick and effective, that the receiver had no time to retaliate. It could not be help that brother Chen was terrified.

But not only was he frightened, he was also furious. How could a person of this world, who was supposed to become their slave, enslaved them instead?!

He bellowed in anger. "You lowly wretch! Release him at once! Someone filthy as you have no right to enslave us!"

"Have no right to enslave you? You know, no one wants to hear that from you." The youth laugh coldly. He then faced brother Chen behind him and said with a composed face. "You people of the otherworld had dared to invade this world with no intentions to negotiate in peace and even had the malicious intentions to enslave this world's locals to forge bizarre items...

"And now when your people gets enslaved, you then say that I have no right? No right my arse, this is Karma!" The youth mocked him.

"'Don't do unto others if you don't want them to do unto you.' A very simple rule which you guys did not keep regards with. And now that this has happened, what are you going to do about it?" The youth then shrugged his hands on his back and turned away.

Brother Chen was left stifling in rage. He gazed at the youth with rage-filled eyes as if he wanted to tear him apart. He really wanted to kill him right away. But he was still quite wary of him as he had seen his ability to enslave people without warning.

What if he gets enslaved next?

What other abilities does this youth possess?

Is he really that powerful?

One question popped after another as brother Chen frustrates over this but when he thought about how negligent this youth was for letting them call for an elder's aide, he suddenly felt gleeful. His lips curve to a wicked smile as he looked at the youth.

"Don't so delighted now, an elder is coming to crush you, vile spawn!"

"Elder?" The youth tilted his head in wonder. "Yes, the old fogeys that brought you along were indeed powerful. But they're only level 120 to 130 at most. I'll be able to handle them if they come knocking."

"Handle them?" Brother Chen coldly laughed. "Even with that ability to enslave won't work on the elders whose cultivation level surpassed far above us. Someone like you is only an ant for them to step on! This is your final warning, Vile spawn! Release brother Wu from your evil art and surrender now! Then maybe you'll survive for another day!"

"You talk too much." The youth frowned in displeasure. "Hong Wu, slap him."

(PA'sC: The youth calls Hong Wu by his first name. Which is informal to some traditions but is legit to other traditions... I guess.)

Wu Hong heard his command and faced brother Chen who's staring right back at him in shock. Without a word, Wu Hong unleashes his cultivation aura and dashed forth. Appearing before brother Chen's front.

Brother Chen panicked. He wanted to defend but Wu Hong was too fast and unexpected.

And then, a crisp sound of a face getting slapped echoed throughout the barren lands. Brother Chen's body was sent flying by that slap and crashed to the boulders nearby like a ragdoll.

"Puff!... You..." Brother Chen face was swelling with red handprint on his cheek. He was soiled in dust and dirt as he coughed out blood. He then looked at the youth as if he was looking at a monster.

At this point, he truly didn't care if the youth was stronger than him. He was so furious at this very moment. If he doesn't tear him apart right now, then he won't ever call himself human.

Meanwhile, the youth was silently amazed at the other party's resilient durability.

'To remain conscious after being sent flying like that.' The youth though t to himself. 'Not to mention that you crashed head first towards a big boulder and yet, you could still look at me with such ferociousness... are you still even human?'

"You... you'll pay for this!" Brother Chen bellowed furiously. He stood up and he raised his hands in incantations. Following which, numerous longswords made of intense flames were summoned to float beside him. Brother Chen then pointed his finger at the youth and sent those longswords in a beeline right before the youth's position.

The youth didn't have to say anything. Immediately detecting that he was being attacked, Wu Hong intercepted him with his own flaming longswords. With a point of a finger, those swords were sent flying to clash each one of brother Chen's flaming longswords.

When all the flaming longswords clashed with each other, they made a loud deafening bang every time it did. Eventually, all the flaming longswords vanished into thin air; this made brother Chen furious.

"Brother Wu, return to your senses at once! The enemy is right behind you!" Brother Chen called out loudly.

"It's futile." Without looking at him, the youth shook his head. "I had already suppressed his consciousness so he's not waking up anytime soon. And also, my ability won't deactivate until the time limit has passed or if I choose to deactivate it myself. Thus, he'll be playing with you a bit longer."

Still not looking at him, the youth flicks his fingers and simply said. "Deal with him."

Wu Hong then responded to him with his hands raised in incantation. Following which, numerous flaming longswords, spears and daggers all appeared to float around him. After which, he pointed his finger at brother Chen. Sending all those flaming weapons to attack him.

Every bit of brother Chen's hair stood on end. He was stricken with fear as he realized that Wu Hong was not holding back at all.

Every single one of those flaming weapons were capable of burning him alive if he didn't take defensive measures. Yet, he was being tackled by a plethora of them!

Brother Chen realized he couldn't hold back at this point. He summoned numerous flaming daggers to intercept them like how Wu Hong did before. However, some flaming weapons manage to pass through his defense.

Thus, he immediately raised his hands again and erected a thick barrier before him. But alas, the barrier broke down as the flaming weapons clash to explode on its surface.

Brother Chen was sent flying once more. Crashing to the ground like a ragdoll, he receives more damages to his body. As soon as he stopped rolling, he looked at the youth and Wu Hong stiffly with his bloody, swollen face. His grave countenance was filled instantly with terror.

Meanwhile, the youth was calmly staring at the night sky above with his hands behind his back. His expression betrayed expectations and his eyes shone with augury.

"Almost here, eh? You kept me waiting."

From the time when the two men had attempted to call for an elder to the time right now, all those moments happened under less than a minute.

Under less than a minute, the youth had enough time to fabricate plans as he absorbed every information he had deduce for the past few moments.

Now that someone he was expecting was about to appear, it was time to initiate the next phase of his plan.

After five seconds had passed. The elder who the two men had been waiting for, had finally appeared.

He appeared floating above the night sky where the youth had stared five seconds before and saw the badly beaten brother Chen, looking at him like he met his savior.

"What's going on here? Why did you two broke a distress orb?" The elder squinted his eyes as he spoke.
