Fantasy Travel

I woke up surrounded by water, with a clear night sky. It was beautiful and relaxing. I was floating around for what seemed like about an hour before I got up. There was a flash of light before I was in a modern office. The office was a decent size and had a good amount of light in it, with a desk in the middle of the room. There was a giant glass window behind the desk; there was nothing behind the window except a beautiful night sky full of stars. I saw a filing cabinet on the desk's left side and a door to the desk's right side. There behind the desk sat a man. He was average looking and seemed to be focused on writing something down. He looked up at me for a brief moment before saying.

"Darius Ranger, age 26, died from a car crash."

"hmm, excuse me, sir? but where am I."

"You are dead. I have a job of sorting out the souls that come through here"

"Okay? so what now?" I asked him. I was curious if I could get reincarnated; that would be cool. I mean, who doesn't want to be reincarnated in their favorite world and be fucking Overpowered. I have read a lot of novels; this is going to be awesome. Villains out there, be warned I am about to whip some ass.

"well, let's see," he says while going through some paperwork on his desk.

"hmm... yes.. you have a positive karma of about 300, about average not bad," he says to me.

"What can I do with that?"

"Honestly, not much. You can go to heaven, which is the standard for people with 100 positive karma, or you can choose a world you want to be reborn into. If you choose this option, you will get no special powers and won't have any previous memories. Basically, you become an actual person in that world."

"Okay...is there anything else I can do?"

"Well, you can draw a ball from the basket over there on the left side of the office."

I looked over to see a basket full of what looked like lottery balls. The basket was about 2 feet in height and stood on a filing cabinet.

"It looks like no one uses that; why?"

"Well...here is the thing about withdrawing a ball. It is completely random. You could end up in the worst part of hell or end up in the best part of heaven, or end up in a world as a bug or a king. It is all about luck with that one."

"hmmm...So I can go to heaven, go to a different world or let fate decide..right?"

"yup, it's all up for you to choose."

I thought about it for a few minutes. Heaven is cool, but I want to go on an adventure. I want to see a different world and do cool shit. I might be 26 years old, but my life was kind of boring. If I choose the world I go in; then I will be another person in that world. It's not bad; I want my memories. The last option is pretty cool, scary, but cool. I was always the one to let fate and luck choose, so why not.

"I want to try and draw, please."

He looked at me for a brief moment before sighing.

"Okay...but if you get a shit place, don't cry to me about it."

"Got it," I said to him. I went closer to the basket, and man, I was nervous, scared, and excited. Reaching into the basket, I pulled out a blue ball with the number 10 on it.

"Okay, give it here, please," he said to me.

I gave the ball to him, with my heart racing a million miles per hour. That ball was going to decide a lot for me, and I was scared. Did I make the right choice, did I choose wrong, what if I get hell or worse get into a dangerous world as a low-rank person? The more I thought, the more I started to panic. I never was good with luck....shit...what was I thinking. I was going to try and change my mind before he said

"Oh...looks like you lucked out, my friend. You got a few random worlds, You get a wish, and you get to pick your appearance, but the sad part is you cant choose your background."

"What Random world did I get," I said to him. I was still kind of nervous. I mean, what if I got a shit world or something. I don't want to end up in "My little pony universe".....I don't want to think about that. I would probably kill myself.

"Looks like the first world is...the Wizard universe."

"Wizard universe, what's that?" I asked him. I was a lot happier now. I felt like a weight was lifted from my shoulders—no ponies for this guy.

"I think you guys call it the harry potter universe. I don't know why, though. The man doesn't own that universe, but whatever."

"So. I am going to the harry potter universe. I am okay with that, but I wish I could have gotten something better, though."

'Man, harry potter...FUCK...I wasn't that big of a fan and don't know shit about it. My wife was a huge fan of the series, and a week ago, she wanted to watch a marathon with me, but I just had to say No. DAMNIT, note to self all nerd things need to be done with the most importance.

"Okay, I have a couple of questions for you. One what is going to be your appearance, two what is your wish."

"I want to look like sora from kingdom hearts, and I want all the Beyonder power from Lord of the mysteries, with no side effects," I said to him with a face full of confidence.

He looked at me while narrowing his eyes and said "No! I can't do that."

"What....why," I ask him in confusion.

"you said I could decide what I want; what the fuck, bro?"

"Look, that is too much power. Also, I can't let you have that appearance as well."

"WHAT THE FUCK, DUDE, YOU SAID I GET TO PICK. I EVEN DID THE FUCKING LOTTERY BALL," I ask him

"Look...there are certain rules that need to be followed, okay. You cant be more powerful than the strongest person in that universe. You cant change fate too much either, and you cant take the appearance of a smaller universe into a bigger one."

deadpan face "So I cant be stronger than Voldemort or harry potter or Dumbledore

"Yes"

Deadpan face " and I cant have the appearance of sora."

"Yes, that is correct."

**Breathe in** **Breathe out**

"WHAT THE FUCK. What kind of fucking god are you, you piece of shit...I want to be fucking Overpowered damn. There are literally hundreds, and I mean hundreds of situations like this happening in the novels I have read.....fucking...make...me...OP...please..."

"Sigh...look one, I am not a god or a piece of shit...and two, there are gods that have a higher standing than me in those universes for a simple reason that is to keep balance. If we started letting souls do whatever they wanted, it would be chaos. Imagine if someone came into your previous world and had the power to control electricity and decided to kill half the world."

"Fine..."

"Thank you, now for your appearance, you can pick some of the features from the Wizard Universe. For your wish, the only thing I can do is give you the knowledge of the ingredients needed for up to the 8th sequence."

"Only the 8th and I am not born with it....fuck man."

"Look, you should be grateful for what I am giving you. If you want to be born with beyonder powers then you would either need to be inhuman or have some ritual done to you."

"Okay..for appearance, make me look above average in appearance...I don't want to be crazy sexy, but also not ugly. For the Beyonder, powers is that with or without side effects."

"Depends. If you pick only 4, then no side effects more than that and you either have side effects or not human."

"Okay...I want Visionary, Moon, Twilight Giant, and White Tower pathway."

"Good choice, next question. Do you want to be born with these powers or have to get the ingredients and make the potion yourself?"

"I thought you said that I am born with it bad things will happen to me, and maybe I won't be human."

"That is corrected, but I can make you not human but still be able to have a fairly normal life as a non-human."

"No, I am good; I don't want to be anything but a human."

"Okay, and everything is done. Just pass through that door to the right."

"Thank you."

"You are welcome."

"Oh I almost forgot about the most important rule" He said to me with a smile on his face

"What rule I asked him" I was kind of curious about it

"DO NOT…I repeat do not change fate too much, and do not try to get more than what I give you."

"Okay…" I said while walking away

I went to the right side of the office and opened the door. I could see blindly light when I opened it. I was going to take a step but realized something. I don't want to be reborn as a baby; I should ask bef-

**PUSH*

"FUCK YOU" Were the only words I could say before I was pushed into the light.

A/N: for those who don't know beyonders and sequences are from a book called "Lord of the Mysteries," I won't go much in-depth with it. There are 9 stages in each sequence, with 22 sequences in total. Some sequences are connected example: The fool, Door, and Error sequences are connected. If someone that had the Darkness sequence tried to switch to the Fool, there would be problems. Not going to explain further than that. Just know that switching a sequence that isn't part of your group is bad. The side effects of going up the sequence are personality changes, madness, and becoming a monster. Our MC can only get the 8th sequence, which is pretty low and will not have any side effects. If you want more information on the book "Lord of the Mysteries" ask, and I will explain it better.
