2 Chapter 2: Thomas doesn't understand why she isn't popular.

Alice was very happy as she walked with her older brother, but soon her eyes lit up with complications. "Brother?"

"Mm?" Thomas looked at her.

"I mean…" She hesitated a little, before letting out a sigh that seemed to contain a lot of sad emotion, "Don't care what others say, even if you got dumped by Jeniffer because you hurt your knee, and you can't play basketball anymore, yet you have a lot of good points, sports was just one of them."

Thomas was silent. He remembered that. Despite having the memories of the former owner of the body, he could not remember everything in small details, only when he sought to know, he would know, until then, he only wanted to know about his family, as the ex-girlfriend of the body ... Well, he doesn't care one bit. In the previous life, he lived without ever dating, he can't miss something he never had.

While the feelings that the former owner of the body had for this Jennifer person, was something futile for him, since he was very good looking now, and was confident that he could get a new girlfriend if he wanted.

Noticing that Thomas had gone quiet, Alice bit her lip, thinking she had stepped on mined land, but then she saw the smile she loved so much that she hadn't seen it for a while.

Thomas continued to smile, with incredible charisma, he said to her: "Alice, I understand, although you're exaggerating a bit since I'm not that good at studies, I won't care about her anymore, don't worry, I know what to do."

"Good!" Alice was happy, even applauded, because she felt he was being sincere. She added: "But brother, you were not good at school before because you were into sports, I believe that if you try hard, you can get good grades and make up for a lost time."

"Maybe at least I promise to make an effort." Thomas smiled at her.

"It is enough." Alice smiled, but soon she became serious: "Brother, I love you so much, you know that yes? I wish from the bottom of my heart that you would get over it, and don't care about unimportant others. Just know that you have at least me who loves you very much and would do anything for you, okay?"

Thomas stopped walking. It's not that he hadn't received the love in his previous life, but not on this level, not so sincerely. He felt his heart beat faster. "Thanks." He smiled at her.

Alice's perception was high, she noticed how her words affected her brother positively and smiled. Her smile came from the depths of her heart.

"We're here..." Alice didn't seem to want the time she was spending with her brother to end, but it was inevitable, they were almost late, there was no way she could act childish and walk slower just because she wanted to spend more time with Thomas.

"I see." Thomas smiled at her: "It's been a while since I came to school, I'm going, see you at recess?"

"Yes Yes!" Alice mentally scolded herself for getting so agitated and pretended to cough and act more mature: "I'll come to your office, wait for me, okay?"

"I'll." Thomas nodded.

After saying goodbye to Alice, Thomas felt a little uneasy. He received a lot of looks he wasn't used to, some even from girlish lust. That would be impossible for him.

'So weird…' It wasn't like he disliked it, he just wasn't used to it. Even some girls winked at him.

Of course, not everyone was like that, some didn't even care about him, mainly because the 'only' good thing about him was that he was good at sports, but now…well, he was just a pretty face.

Despite saying it was just a pretty face, the number of girls who wanted to be with him just because they were pretty, was quite a lot. However, they wanted a casual affair, something to satisfy their ego. Being with someone as beautiful as him was satisfying, but dating...

Thomas entered the school, he was remembering as he walked, he instinctively knew he needed to go to the second floor. Going up the stairs, he realized that so far, no one had come to talk to him.

It was strange, considering he was so good at the sport, Thomas believed he would be popular.

Gradually, flashes of memories arrived. It was then that he discovered the reason.

Just as he imagined, he was popular, but after he got injured and couldn't play sports anymore, the kids who were jealous of him for sports made people isolate him little by little.

"Thomas." He turned around and saw a slightly chubby girl calling out to him.

Searching through his memories, Thomas was able to recognize her. Her name is Fabiana. After many turned away from him, Thomas became friends with her.

However, the previous Thomas was an asshole, in his opinion, as he was embarrassed to be seen around her.

It was even possible to see this, seeing the look of regret on Fabiana's face when she realized that she ended up calling for him. But, it was such a surprise to see him at school, that she couldn't contain herself and ended up calling his name without meaning to.

"Good morning, Fabiana." Though he couldn't change the past, Thomas wouldn't act as the body's former owner did. He smiled a little at her as he greeted her.

Fabiana almost stopped breathing, it was as if she had unlearned, she thought until he would ignore her, or even curse her, among all the scenarios she imagined, none of them was Thomas greeting her with a friendly smile.

"I, I..."

Thomas laughed a little and approached her. "Take a deep breath, this now inhales. Better?"

"Yes good morning?" She still looked confused.

"Good morning~" Thomas hissed and added, "Don't be surprised, I've changed, you don't need to find me hiding to talk to me, okay?"

"... Serious?" She still didn't believe it. Honestly, friendship with Thomas was something she never dreamed would happen, even when Thomas got injured and stopped playing sports, he was still popular with girls, although many were intimidated by his ex before they could approach him, Thomas stopped going to school.

Fabiana still had his account, sometimes spoke on WhatsApp, but it wasn't often.

In fact, Fabiana was not ugly. With long curly black hair, she had honey-colored eyes, full lips, and a small nose. Because of her being a little over 200 pounds, many thought she had big breasts just because she was chubby, while she had wide hips, 170 cm tall.

"Why would I lie to you?" Thomas arched his left eyebrow as he asked.

"I, I don't know... Is everything really okay?" Fabiana felt the need to confirm a second time.

"... You do not trust me?" Thomas pretends to be sad.

"No, that's not it, it's just that..." Fabiana panicked trying to explain.

The way she panicked made Thomas smile, it was very cute, which made him not understand why she wasn't popular with the boys, I mean, even though she was overweight, she was very cute, she had a voice nice, quite sociable... Honestly, it was hard to understand, in any case, Thomas had fun talking to her.

But, the conversation would have to continue at another time, the bell had rung.

"It's a shame, we'll have to keep talking later," Thomas told her.

Fabiana just nodded. She wasn't thinking straight, this was too sudden for her.
