The Beginning

Slowly I opened my eyes, all I see was a pitch black space without anything else. I didn't panic in this situation as I began to do some checking while few scenario appeared in my mind.

I started to looking down, I was surprised that I could see my legs, there's not even light in this place, how could I see my legs. Looking at my clothes it seem I'm wearing a casual white shirt and a gray pants with a black boots.

'Huh weird... I remembered that I'm getting shot in the heart for unknown reason.. Right now there's not even trace of blood... am I really died?' My suspicious grew stronger, but I maintained my calmness. Then I started to do some checking. Firstly I began to pinch my cheeks, I felt pain in that moment.

"Physical body?.. how?" I frowned, then I tried to stomp the 'darkness' beneath me. I didn't even feel pain or anything moreover the place where my feet stop were at the same height as before. I tried to lay down after that. Again, I didn't feel anything and I was stopped at the same height, I began to stand as I came into conclusion.

"Flat ground?... But Newton's Third Law doesn't apply here... Afterlife.. No... I didn't see any other being here... moreover I didn't think souls use a physical body in the Afterlife-" I clicked my tongue as I get my answer.

"Void..." As the word left my mouth, I could felt my body part 'dissipate' at rapid rate started from my legs and my hands. Looking around my body for a second, I see that all of them was still intact. I didn't feel any pain as I keep calm facing this situation.

'I think every process is painful...but to think when I will disappeared completely.. I didn't feel pained or anything.' I thought as I was closing my eyes.

I waited as time passed, but my 'thought' was still intact, I felt weird in that moment. Then I tried to opened my eyes, the scene in front of me was a ruined modern city. I remembered this place or rather familiar with this place.

"This..." Without wasting any time I started to run to a certain direction as I thinking few scenario in my head.

After a few minutes, I arrived at my destination. In this place there is a girl with a long black hair and a fair skin wearing a white one piece that covered with blood. Her head was facing down while sitting down on the ground, there's a peculiar sword that stabbing her back yet she didn't scream or asking for help as if she was accepting her fate.

Not far from her, there's a five burned gigantic humanoid body that beyond recognition. Weapons were laying on the ground as blood flowing in every direction.

Seeing this scene again I bit my lips as I run toward the girl. My loud footstep making her raising her head. There's a small smile in her face as she started to regained a light in her black eyes. I arrived in front of her not long after that.

"Reli-"

Stab-

"Za..." I stopped as I was looking at her right hand that held a sword hilt that stabbed directly into my stomach. I didn't change my expression because at that time I came into my conclusion. Ignoring the pain as I bit my lips to suppress it, I started to looking at her face again, there's a beautiful smile formed in her face. At that time, I started to smile but my heart says otherwise, it was painful seeing her again as I remembered that day. Then I said to her.

"Thanks.... even though you are not 'her'... I'm glad.. that... I was able to seeing that expression again...." She widened her eyes in that moment. I sit in front of her as I started hugging her, then I continuing my word.

"Even thought every aspect of yours are similar like 'her'... you are not 'her'..."

She didn't reply it immediately nor pushed me. I was waiting patiently.

"How...." After a few second she replied.

"I think you're also aware about it..... that day... Her 'Root' disappeared along with her soul.... Even 'Time' won't be able to 'Rewind' it.... because what's gone is gone....." I said to her, everytime I think about it, my heart ached. She immediately pushed me away.

"How do you know about that!?" She was shocked as she grip my shoulder tightly.

"I see... based on your expression it seem everything I said before was true.... Thanks you again... My last doubt was gone..." I said as the pain in my heart increasing.

'I can't met her again..'

"You just guess it?... for a human to think that far.... " she mumbled, I just gave her a small smile. Then as if she was remembering something she suddenly said.

"You passed 'The First' Reo Sinclair... good luck for the next..." after that my vision was blackened again.
