9 Persona User in Jojo

So, after my dreadfully short chapter last time, I'll try to give this one some length. I got this idea after watching a video, where both a Stand user and Persona user were involved. Now, during this chapter I'll be addressing some of the issues that would arise by merging these two worlds. First of all, I'll be talking about the acquisition of Personas.

The way the MC would be gaining Personas, would be exclusively through the Velvet Room. Igor would be tracking progress and awarding a form of currency, which would be used to both purchase and fuse different Personas. Now, instead of Social Links empowering Personas, they'd be strengthened with use. By the way, all the Personas would be available for purchase, but the higher rank ones require more of the currency. This way, it's balanced, relatively speaking.

Now, for whether or not the MC would be able to see Stands. Since both Stands and Personas are a manifestation of the user's psychological state and mental strength, it stands to reason that their similar nature would allow a Persona user to see a Stand. So, I don't see that as being a problem, though some may not accept that reasoning. Although, while Personas can break, that won't kill the user like it would with a Stand, so that could be a future plot point.

Next up, would be if Personas can match up to Stands, power-wise. Now, I realize that Stands have wildly fluctuating strength levels, ranging from breaking diamonds apart to being unable to lift a feather, so since Personas have a list of powers that they share from, they'll be right at home. The problem comes in when you take the strongest Stands with powers like stopping time, accelerating time, travelling through universes, and erasing time (I'm sensing a theme), Personas can feel a little under-powered. But, if you remember, there have been Personas that have rivaled and killed literal Gods. So, we're fine in the strength department.

So, what are we going to do about the plot? Which Jojo Part does this take place in? Well, either Part 3 or Part 4 would be preferable. Why? Because King Crimson isn't in either of those, and fuck King Crimson and his power set. Plus those were the two Parts where Stands were still pretty fresh, not to say the other parts have bad Stands. Technically, You could have the MC start in Part 3 and make his way into Part 4.

I think the plot should go something like this. A major fan of both the Persona series and Jojo, dies tragically while stopping a thief. After spending a while in a black void, Philemon appears to him, granting him a chance at life in a new world. The MC is granted a Persona, and as a gift, the ability to freely enter and exit the Velvet Room. Memories sealed and reborn a year after Jotaro Kujo, he goes to the same school and befriends Jojo.

He regains everything when the plot commences, awakening his first Persona as Jojo gains Star Platinum. Now, the MC will not need to use something like the Evoker, he'll call it out purely with his own will, and he definitely won't be changing clothing, though the surprise on Jotaro's face would be nice to see. And the first Persona he buys should be a healing type, for obvious reasons. I mean, if you had the option, wouldn't you save Kakyoin?

I had thought about putting a Stand user in Persona, but after thinking about, I decided that putting a Persona user in Jojo would be better.
