33 Evolving as Godzilla in a Fantasy World

Before you say anything, yes I'm aware of the novel "Reborn as Godzilla in Another World", but the only thing that's similar is the fact that the protagonist will become Godzilla. I'm going in a completely different direction. In the rewritten version, the Author gets rid of the system that the MC had, but mine requires a system. It needs it because this is going to be a story of evolution.

What I'm proposing is something similar to Let's Aim to Be the Strongest, the LN that starts with the protagonist as a Dragon egg. I want the growth for the MC to be fulfilling for the reader, I want him to earn everything he gets. So, in the next sections I'll be describing what I'd want to see in this novel. First off, let's talk about the MC himself, and how he'll be growing with the aid of the system.

Obviously, we have to talk about who he is as a person. Most likely an avid fan of Kaiju movies, his personal favorites are Godzilla, King Ghidorah, and Anguirus (You can change one or both, but Godzilla must remain). He dies and is reborn into an egg, specifically that of a Godzillasaurus. Fully hatched, he is then made aware of the existence of the system bound to him. This system displays all the current abilities he has, as well as his health, energy and level.

Leveling is what we'll be using as a throttle for gaining strength. We don't want him to grow too fast, so we make the experience required high, but we also don't want to make progression to slow to a halt, so we'll have either strong enemies or hordes of weaklings for grinding. He'll start off as a baby Godzillasaurus and after some levels he'll become an adult and reach a cap. This is where we add in a new mechanic, Evolution.

Evolution will begin with mutating into Godzilla, but since there is no atomic weaponry or atomic power of any kind on world, it'll have to be through a different method. So, we'll add in a choice, by either buying an A-bomb or H-bomb from the system, or finding a source of ultra-dense energy in the world to use. Using the bombs will be quick and a guaranteed success, but if he manages to find a usable energy source, he'll save points and he might be able to gain extra abilities. Once the MC successfully becomes Godzilla, the next choices for evolution are Space Godzilla or Super Godzilla. Both have special requirements, Space Godzilla being something like killing thousands of crystalline monsters, Super Godzilla requiring King Ghidorah's cells and a large amount of energy. They also would need a certain level to be achieved.

Next up, I'll be talking about the Atomic Breath, and what I'd like to see happen with it. Once the MC becomes Godzilla, he'll gain a Level 0 version of the Breath. This is the original Godzilla's Atomic Breath, depicted as a cloud of radioactive vapor. As he uses this attack, it will gain its own exp, slowly evolving into the beam that we all know. After maxing out, it becomes the Spiral Heat Ray, which can then be evolved into Red Spiral Heat Ray through absorption of a powerful fire-attributed monster's soul.

I'll talk a little bit about world building, as it will help describe the MC's place on the food chain. Starting off, we have the strength rating of the various monsters that inhabit the world: From the bottom we have F, which is where things like slimes and goblins rank. E is where most of your medium sized carnivorous animals are. D is where large predators like bears live. C is a qualitative leap from D, where the terror of monsters truly begins, as they cannot be hurt by iron or steel weapons, Godzillasaurus belongs to this category. B is another jump, where only mystical materials can draw blood. A is where base Godzilla reigns. S is said to be where Gods and most Demons begin to make their claims. SS is where the true horrors sleep. SSS is home to the unknown, these creatures and beings seldom make appearances. Finally X, where not even the All-Mighty Creator can help you.

Before you make any comments, I believe A is where the MC belongs right after evolving into Godzilla, not to mention he'd be at the very top of A. I truly believe that eventually he could make his way to SSS or even X.

Let's talk a little about the system. The system should only be allowed to sell things required for evolution. No potions or pills, and definitely no extra abilities, he has to earn those through either experimentation or absorption of mutagenic energy. Healing and energy recovery will only happen through his natural regeneration and resting, or if he can absorb energy from a source.

Next up, I'll mention some possible Races to also populate the world. Humans obviously, Dwarves, Elves, Fairies, Demi-humans, and Halflings. Of course there's many other possible choices, I'm just making a few suggestions.

Now, I need to talk about what the MC will look like. This is a difficult topic, since there's a lot of media to choose from. If I had to make a decision, I'd have to say something along the lines of a combination of the Heisei and Millenium Godzilla, with their more dinosaur-like arms and movement, it also helps that the Kaiju was more realistic as well. I would definitely would go with a combination of those two, though if you desire you can add components of other versions of Godzilla too. Like the gills from the Legendary Pictures Godzilla, which would give a good explanation of his amphibious nature. He should start off at roughly 80 meters and weigh 50,000 metric tons when he evolves into Godzilla. He'll gain height as he levels and evolves into more powerful forms, possibly becoming larger than Godzilla Earth at some point.
