4 Bioshock

There must be more than a few people who have played these games, and loved them. So, in this chapter, I'd like to propose an idea for a light novel. I know, I've made quite a few ideas solely based on video games, but some games just have great potential for fan-fiction. Sure, there isn't much to go on for either series, as both only had two games. (I know there's Infinite, but I'd like to see one based only on the Rapture from Bioshock 1 and 2)

I'd like for this one to be similar to my inFamous idea in that the protagonist is not aware of the plot. Maybe make his parents some of the first people to live in Rapture, and they are wealthy enough to afford gene tonics and Plasmids. I think once the MC has fully grown, the downfall of the city would begin, and to save his parents he gets them back to the surface, while he remains below. Now, I can see a couple problems with that idea. Mainly, why he doesn't go with them: Well, maybe he feels like he'll never be able to adjust to living on the surface. He could be captured and turned into a Big Daddy, it's up to You.

I'd like to see something akin to development when using Plasmids. Some, like Incinerate and Electro Bolt, have upgrades but I'd rather see it be more of a growth than straight up buying an improved version. It'd have a bit more meaning to the story, and would be a good way of gauging the MC's strength. It's more satisfying to see a character train to gain power over having it be given to them.

You could also make some more inventive Plasmids or uses for already existing ones. Like how you see most ads for Incinerate used as a lighter, you could have bartenders chill drinks using Winter Blast. Get creative, this is a series about genetically-induced superpowers in an underwater city, nothing is completely off-limits.

I can give you an idea for the MC's abilities:Dual Plasmid use. You know how in the cutscenes and in-game you're restricted to using one at a time? Have the protagonist dual-wield. It would be awesome to see him throwing lightning out of one hand and freezing people with the other. Heck, You can make Gene Tonics into a form of cultivation. The sky is the limit with fan-fiction, make it your own.
