286 Chapter 284: Sunset Manor!

After the meal.

It was a rare occasion when the Suzuki family gathered together and drove towards their destination.

On the winding road, Senichi and Ayako took the lead and arrived in their car, and shortly after, a luxury car arrived.

"We've reached our destination, and this villa is now yours and Ayako's," said Suzuki Tomoko as she got out of the car and looked at the villa.

"So, it's time for you to reveal your hidden trump card," she added.

"Of course," Senichi replied, looking at the villa in front of him. Even though he had mentally prepared himself, his heart was still pounding uncontrollably.

The villa they had arrived at was the legendary residence of the wealthy magnate Renya Karasuma — the Sunset Manor!

That's right.

Senichi had asked Suzuki Shiro to use the connections of their conglomerate to help him purchase the "Sunset Manor."

He was deeply impressed by the villa made entirely of gold and didn't want to miss this opportunity to become rich overnight.

Buying the "Sunset Manor" wasn't as difficult as one might imagine. Before the "Gourmet Detective" bought it, the villa had passed through many hands.

However, once the news about the treasure hidden by the wealthy magnate Renya Karasuma in the "Sunset Manor" reached Shukuzen Ogami, he went bankrupt buying it, and there was no chance to get their hands on it.

Fortunately, it was still early, and the other party hadn't purchased it yet. This was the perfect opportunity.

And coincidentally, Senichi had also entered a "war" with Suzuki Tomoko to be accepted into the Suzuki family as their son-in-law.

So Senichi decided to take advantage of the Suzuki family's connections to make a direct acquisition!

Not only did he secure this villa made entirely of gold, but he also had the opportunity to prevent a case and prove his abilities to make Suzuki Tomoko willingly marry her daughter to him.

Furthermore, with such a large sum of money, Senichi couldn't afford to let various opportunities to make money slip through his fingers.

Starting from now on, establishing a company and making investments in certain fields based on his understanding of the world's development trajectory in advance is essentially inevitable.

Killing four birds with one stone!

And when that time comes, what Senichi mentioned about creating a conglomerate from scratch won't just be empty talk.

"Brother-in-law, why did you bring us here?" Suzuki Sonoko curiously surveyed everything around her. "Could it be that what you asked Dad to do was to buy this villa?"

"That's right, that's exactly it," Senichi nodded. "This is the task I entrusted to Uncle Shiro, and it's also my confidence in convincing Aunt Tomoko to let Ayako marry me."

"Huh? I'm curious about how you plan to work your magic to convince me to give my daughter to you."

Suzuki Tomoko, like her daughter, looked around the environment with great interest. "I was quite curious when you proposed this condition earlier, so please reveal the answer now. How do you plan to persuade me? Is this villa hiding a treasure or something?"

Originally, Suzuki Tomoko's comment was just a joke, but she didn't expect to receive a response from Senichi with an expression of absolute certainty. He nodded and said, "That's right, there is a treasure here, and it's a substantial one."

"A treasure!? Is that for real?!" Sonoko couldn't help but get excited upon hearing Senichi's words, immediately looking around left and right. "Where is it? Where is it?!"

Suzuki Shiro and the others were also taken aback. When they purchased the villa, they had someone inspect it to find out what Senichi was really up to. However, after a thorough investigation, the responsible person didn't find anything. But now Senichi was claiming there was treasure here?

Just as the Suzuki family exchanged puzzled glances and couldn't make heads or tails of the situation, Senichi reached into his car and pulled out... a large hammer~

"Brother-in-law, why did you bring out a big hammer?" Sonoko's mouth gaped as she watched Senichi take out the item from his car, her tone filled with excitement. "Are you going to smash something? Is the treasure hidden there?"

"You should step back a bit, and I'll show you where the treasure is in no time," Senichi said with a smile. As he spoke, he took off his suit jacket, and Ayako helped him with it. Senichi then placed the large hammer upright, rolled up the sleeves of his shirt, and unbuttoned the top two buttons.

Following that, Senichi walked to an open area away from the others. Just as the Suzuki family thought Senichi was about to lead them to the hiding place of the treasure, he unexpectedly picked up the hammer right before their bewildered eyes.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

The hammer produced a tremendous noise as it struck the ground, and it wasn't until this moment that the Suzuki family came to their senses.

"Brother-in-law! Brother-in-law!! Why did you start smashing things randomly in some spot you found?" Sonoko, watching Senichi hammering the ground one blow at a time, shouted in confusion, "Could it be that the treasure is buried under there?"

Senichi smiled at her words but didn't answer Sonoko's question. Instead, he swung the large hammer again, shattering the cracked surface of the ground.

Afterward, Senichi walked over, cleared away the debris, and looked at a hint of gold revealed inside. A faint smile curved on his lips.

He pointed at the ground, signaling everyone to come and see.

"Wow! Is it gold?!" Sonoko looked at the buried gold in astonishment but also expressed some disappointment. "I didn't expect the treasure to be hidden right here in the villa. It feels a bit too casual, doesn't it?"

"Casual? Well, let me answer your earlier question then," Senichi smiled and looked at Sonoko. "The treasure isn't hidden here."

"Huh? But isn't this gold right here?" Sonoko pointed at the gold exposed on the surface of the pit, looking puzzled. "Isn't this gold, or is it some other metal?"

"No, it's gold, but who said the treasure must be hidden here."

Senichi's words left Sonoko bewildered. Wasn't the underground gold the treasure? If not, what could be considered a treasure? Could there be even more valuable items hidden below? For a moment, everyone's thoughts were in turmoil.

Looking at the perplexed expressions of everyone, Senichi pointed down below and smiled at the Suzuki family, "The so-called treasure isn't hidden anywhere. The entire mansion itself is a treasure!"

"What?"

Even the wealthy Suzuki family couldn't help but widen their eyes in surprise.

"The entire mansion is the treasure?" Suzuki Tomoko looked around at the huge villa that resembled a castle, with a sense of incredulity.

"Senichi... Are you saying this whole villa is made entirely of gold?" Ayako looked around, covering her mouth in disbelief.

It's not that they didn't believe what they were seeing; it's just that reality was too unbelievable!
