4 S E C O N D

Squeaking Gymnasium floor, balls flying back and fourth across the net. The sound of the palm hitting the ball with a loud slap sound. The afternoon varsity practice continuously goes on for the past hour.

"Nice job everyone. Let's keep those receives and spikes going. Preliminaries are coming up and we all need more practice. Let's call it a day," the team captain speaks.

"Right!" The team yells in unison.

Vaughn heads straight to the changing room to take off the sweaty jersey. Freshening up at the same time as the others. Chitchats filled the room as they talk about the upcoming important event as varsities.

"Vaughn, captain's going to treat us for dinner, you coming?" Their vice Captain asks.

"Oka-" but was interrupted by a phone call. "Excuse me,"

Dad....what could he possibly want now?

"What?" An obviously irritated tone came out from Vaughn.

"Since when did they use 'what' in answering phone calls?" The sarcasm from his Dad isn't getting to light up Vaughn's mood as she remembers their conversation last night.

"Listen, I'm on my way home if that's the reason why you called," holding the phone between her ear and shoulder as she fix her things inside her bag.

"Actually, i want you to drop by the warehouse to dis-"

"To discuss something with me...again. If you're just going to repeat what you said yesterday, don't worry i got it all noted in my head," she rolls her eyes in irritation.

She never gets along with her dad when it comes to parenting. But when they talk about their business, their like allies who've been working together for a long time already. The teamwork, and the flow of the plan runs smoothly.

"Just drop by the warehouse," the other end cuts the call. Never letting his daughter respond.

Groaning in frustration, she speaks her agenda to the vice Captain to tell her that she won't be able to go with them for dinner.

"Sure, have fun with your dad," bidding their goodbyes to each other.

Have fun with my dad? Not gonna happen.

WARNING: Strong language contents up ahead.

Not bothering to knock on the warehouse door, instead she kicked it open. It's their property after all.

"What the hell do you need me for that you need to summon me in this stupid place?" Vaughn shouts as she asks the silhouette of her dad not distant away.

"I'm going to need you on my mission," as if on cue the lights was turned on. Just the light in the middle of the room giving light to the tied up man in a chair.

Vaughn has always known that this was her father's duty. She's not surprised that there was another tied up man yet again on that stupid old chair. Vaughn looks at the man then to her dad, and all of the men that works for them.

"What the hell is this?" She points as the man.

"Right, regarding the mission," Luvox changes the topic. "I'm going to need you to assassinate someone. That's what you're good at right?"

Now he needs me?

"Let me just get things straight. Last night, you told me to head straight home every after school. And now, you summoned me to this stupid warehouse, And, AND now you're telling me that you need me in a mission? What is this? Are you bluffing with me?!" Vaughn yells.

The mans working for her dad seems to be enjoying the scene in front of them. A scoff was heard from one of them. Their boss slowly turns around to face them only to give them a death glare.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. I'm currently working on a mission, and I need you to assassinate someone for me. Happy now?" Her Farther fakes a smile.

As a sign of irritation, Vaughn rolls her eyes at her father. "Can you get more specific? " Vaughn squints her eyes, getting into what her father is saying.

"Why don't you ask this Bastard!" Vox kicks the chair making the tied up man fall to the ground, face first.

Vaughn heaves a deep sigh. Dropping her bag on the table where her father is leaning. Approaching the man on the floor, picking him up in a harsh way.

"Speak. Who do you work for?" Leaning in as the man smirks at her.

The man laughs, "You look pretty innocent for a job like this," his hands manage to caress the side of Vaughn's thigh up and down.

"Hey, you're not allowed to touch my daughter, Moron!-"

"Stop beating around the bush, fucker!" pertaining to the tied up man, Vaughn kicks the chair in anger.

"I need you to speak. Now, I'm gonna ask you the same question. Who do you work for?" Vaughn grabs the man's hair to harshly tilt his head to make him look at her.

A smirk was again plastered on the tied up man's face, "Have you no mercy, Mr. Two-faced CEO? I've been here for five days, Just let me go and I'll never tell anyone nor the authorities about this place, or about what you did to me," he looks at Luvox, still with that cocky smirk. "What do ya say?"

As if falling for the tied up man's words, Luvox smiles and approaches him. "Really?" he asks.

"You have my word," the man speaks.

Instead, Luvox chuckles. Not until a fist landed straight on the man's abdomen, "Not gonna happen, Fucker!" fist after fist was met by the man's face.

Vaughn is now the one leaning on the table, "Will you speak now?" with arms crossed, impatient for the whole interrogation.

"Haven't you heard what your father said? 'Not gonna happen" The man air-quoted what her father said, leaving a flaring Luvox and an irritated Vaughn.

She picks up the handgun that was on the table, loading it in the process before she walks to approach the man, "Speak now or this gun will speak for you," She reloads the gun, points it just at the side of the man's shoulder before pulling the trigger.

The loud Gun shot resulted everyone in a flinch except for the one holding it. An odd laugh came erupted from her throat.

"You're a tough one aren't you?" expression shifts as fast as a speeding train, a serious yet Impatient look was now plastered on her face. "Let's see how tough you are when I pull this damn trigger on your neck," She pushes the gun hard on the man's neck.

Instead of being scared at the situation and the gun pointed at his neck that can eventually fire anytime, The man laughs.

"It's a shame you won't see your family again when she pulls the trigger. You're wife's kinda hot," Luvox turns the picture he's holding. The picture he holds contains the man's family picture. His wife with their two daughters.

"What?!" Realization hits him about what Luvox said. "Don't you dare touch her or my daughters! I swear-"

"You swear? Why bother to say such words when you'll eventually just die cause you won't say a single damn thing about who you work for," Vox slams the table in frustration.

"Okay okay, I'll speak! Just don't do anything to them," With a pleading tone, the man begs.

"About time," Vaughn pulls away, still with the gun on her hand.

His family is his weakness?

"I was hired by Mr. San Diego. I worked for him for two years now," The bruise tied up man starts to spill the tea.

"Stop beating around the bush will you?" Vaughn impatiently voices out. "Does he have what we're looking for or not?" with crossed arms Vaughn leans against the table.

"Oh, he has it alright. He usually spends time in his office downtown," The man carries on with his story.

"Where does he keep it," an obviously interested Vox pulls a chair right in front of the man to catch every detail about what he's telling.

"In a secret stash room inside his office. To access it, You have to pull down a specific book from the bookshelf in his office. That's the key to opening the door," An inward smile appears at the man's face.

Vaughn and her father exchanged looks, "Very well. We'll leave this to you," Vox says to his man working under him.

The father and daughter went on with their way to plan the mission they will be doing. "Call Gonzalvo, We'll be needing him on this one," He commands. Vaughn immediately pulls out her phone to call her Best friend.

Reaching their house, the crew meets up at the usual basement where the sketches and scribbles of plans were made. The basement serves as a mute witness to all the deals and crimes made by this crew. Back at it again, The crew reunites once more.

"How do we do it?" the rest of the crew asks.

An evil grin was plastred on the father-daughter duo that runs the team.

Will the crew succeed on this plan? Will Vaughn be able to assassinate the target? Will Luvox get what he always wanted?
